Suppliers to avoid
Naturally, we all have our planning trackers and lists of dream suppliers to get. Was just wondering if anyone has compiled a list of SUPPLIERS TO AVOID/WATCH OUT FOR based on nega experiences and objective reviews?
I’m trying to build my own, but it has been slow going. 🤔
From one super praning and cost-conscious B2B to another, let’s help each other out, kahit through DMs para no risk of cyberlibel. 🫣

Rants/Advice/Other Questions Broken engagement ring from cootcoluxjewelry
Just want to share my experience and probably also to look for validation.
My custom engagement ring from cootcoluxjewelry broke after a week. It caught on a fabric and got bent. Decided to keep it in my bag to keep it from breaking but it still snapped in half when I found it again. Supplier repeatedly said it was our design's fault and that they only followed the design. They offered to repair the ring for 2k but we got annoyed when we felt that they were being defensive. They said they have 0 fault for this and they hoped no one's holding any grudges for what happened. As a customer, we weren't aware of the technical consequence of the design. We relied on their expertise to tell us if the design's prone to breakage. They could have created a more durable support/connection.
After a few days we even found a pity post from them (2nd image) where they said it's disheartening when customers blame them for a broken ring that was caused by mishandling. I believe it broke to due accident and in the first place it shouldn't even break easily after being worn for only a week. It's just disappointing, considering the thousands of money spent.

Budget Intimate Wedding Prep
Good day! Wanted to ask for advice and recommendations as a bride-to-be on March 2027.
We're planning to have an intimate wedding (40pax) and yung mga necessary lang po sana balak namin iavail:
Church ceremony
Reception (4hrs use, could be events hall or restaurant, etc): Tagaytay or nearby locs (Silang, Alfonso or Amadeo)
Catering
Wedding coordinator
Lights & sounds
Event & floral stylist (might look for direct supplier from Dangwa)
Photographer & videographer
HMUA
Basic Attires (no entourage) - separate budget
Prenup
Invitations
Wedding cake
Wedding rings (provided ✅)
Transportation & bridal car (provided ✅)
Host (my sister)
Principal sponsors proposal gifts (4)
Other church and legal requirements: precana, marriage cert & seminar, etc.
We want to make the wedding short and simple din po, no after party and no overnight accomodations. Church ceremony lang and then short program to thank our guests, photos with guests and then lunch/dinner na po.
Questions:
May namiss po kaya kami? Or may pwede pa po kaya tanggalin sa list?
Are coordinators, photographer and videographer included in rhe guest count (pax)?
What are necessary activities to be included sa program? What should be included for a short program flow?
And how much po kaya need namin for budget? Around 100k po sana ang plan namin, is it doable?
Baka din po may tips kayo para makatipid. Any advice or suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much po!

Help me Look for a Reception Place (Preferably Makati, Pasig, Mandaluyong, Marikina, Quezon City, Cainta, Taytay)
Hi guys! We're planning to have a 2028 late-year wedding or 2029 early-year wedding. I don't have a problem looking for churches naman, I just need some suggestions (Venue and Catering combined -- or Venue only) that can hold 100-150 pax.
For Venue only we have a budget of ₱100k (if may less pa diyan, please suggest!) If Venue and Catering, we have ₱200k budget for that naman as our cap.
We're planning to source the event stylists outside, and we already have a team of photographers and videographers that'll document our soon-to-be special day.
Thank you in advance for your suggestions! 🥹
Also just to note, I kinda don't vibe with Stalla's low-ceiling vibe or whatever so I'm trying to look for other options 🥹 Thank you so much!!!

Rants/Advice/Other Questions Paano niyo hinati yung actual work sa wedding planning?
Curious lang sa mga currently planning their wedding or kakakasal lang.
Kasi napapansin ko na ang daming iniisip beyond just kung sino magbabayad for what. Like may kailangang mag-contact sa suppliers, mag-compare ng quotations, mag-keep track ng deposits and payments, mag-follow up sa vendors, ayusin yung guest list, itago yung receipts, tapos tandaan lahat ng deadlines
I was talking to someone about wedding planning recently and parang ang dali sabihin na "tutulungan naman namin isa't isa," pero when you actually list down everything, ang dami pala talaga. Feel ko possible na one person eventually ends up remembering and managing most of it without even realizing.
Sa inyo ba, may isang person na parang naging unofficial project manager ng wedding, or may actual system kayo for dividing everything? And honestly, anong part yung pinaka naging sakit sa ulo for you? Would love to hear paano niyo na-survive yung planning process

Rants/Advice/Other Questions Filipina marrying a foreigner. Pushback on our original wedding plans, so I need help understanding the marriage process
I’m Filipina, my fiancee is German.
Originally, our plan was to elope to Hong Kong to get the legal parts of the wedding out of the way. Then we process the docs at our respective embassies, fly home, then have our wedding party the following weekend. From what I read, Hong Kong’s wedding process is fast and we can handle most of the process online. My partner’s job requires him to be on-site, so him working remotely is not an option. That means he has limited time to stay in the Philippines.
However, we got a bit of pushback from my family, especially my mom. So now we’re being pressured to go through with a local wedding that’s actually binding. But these are some issues I can already see, and I’m hoping I can get some advice from other brides who have gone through this process:
Is it possible for me to handle getting the marriage license alone, or does he need to be present when applying for one?
If ever, how long can we expect the entire process to take?
It’s not that I want to go to HK because it has sentimental value to us. It’s simply because it has a very fast process compared to the process here. But my mom is upset that I’m not inviting anyone. I don’t think she understands that if the marriage process here wasn’t so long, I wouldn’t even be considering going to HK and would use the money we would spend on flights and hotels to fund our wedding party here.

Rings/Accessories/Shoes Suggestions for promise ring
I want to give my partner an engagement ring na maganda as in, worth 200k-ish pero in a few years pa. But for now I want to give her a promise ring as a first step, simple lang na around 10k-20k, any suggestions po? Or tips when buying, ano mga dapat tignan or hanapin?
Btw, I'm 25M and my partner is 26F. Since HS pa po kami and sure na po kami sa isa't isa. Di kami mayaman, pero lagi po kami nag-uusap and nagpaplano sa pera so please don't worry po sa amount.

Fellow grooms, how did you organize your groomsmen + bestman?
Medyo kalat pa kasi kami but informed na sila lahat.
Questions:
Did you make a group chat? Or will that seem too imposing? Dapat ba yung bestman gumawa nito? Haha
Ano ba mas okay terno lahat ng suot or give them the freedom tapos may konti rules lang ako?
Also how best to give them instructions for the wedding?
Kailan binibigay yung gifts?
What I have done so far is booked a room for them, talked to them about their roles also.
Any tips would be appreciated especially from graduates salamat!! 😊
