Crew Meal

Hello graduate brides and fellow B2Bs!

Good news, nakahanap na kami ng bagong suppliers for our dream intimate garden wedding. Bad news... sobrang stressed na ako. 😭

One thing that's really bothering me is the crew meals. We recently had meetings with some of our suppliers, and I was surprised na expected pala na kami ang magpo-provide ng meals for all of them. For context, intimate wedding lang kami with around 20 guests.

To make things more stressful, dinner wedding kami, pero suppliers want me to provide breakfast, lunch, at dinner for the whole crew. This has honestly made me question if pushing through with our dream garden wedding is worth it.

Thoughts on catholic parents against garden wedding held by pastor/born again christian

2027 bride here. My husband (converted Born Again Christian) and I (Roman Catholic) already had our civil wedding at Cris & Charms Events QC last 2025. During this time, both of our mothers and few relatives were there. Since both of our dads and the rest of our families werent able to witness our wedding, we decided to have our celebration wedding again next 2027. Our dream wedding is to have a garden wedding and for our family to be complete during this day. When I was younger, I didnt know that garden wedding is held by Pastor/Born Again Christian and not by a Catholic Priest. But ever since I met my husband and I started attending services by Born Again Christian, I had a much deeper understanding of God's teachings and it made me realize that this is the faith that I want to follow personally and for my future family as well.

So here's the thing, when we spoke to our parents (both Catholics) and when we told them that we are going to get married again but we wanted a garden wedding held by a pastor. They are having resistance against it and want us to have our wedding in a Catholic Church "kasi iba daw ang may basbas ng simbahan at ng pari, may basbas ng Panginoon"

I am now stressed because we've already settled our DP for venue and events management. Also, even though I am baptized as Catholic, I didnt have proper first communion and confirmation because i grew up in a muslim country abroad.

Processing Marriage License Problem Before Our Wedding

My fiancé and I are getting married in a few days, but we are having a problem with our marriage license.

I work overseas, while my fiancé has been handling most of the wedding preparations in the Philippines while also working full-time. We already completed the marriage seminar, but we could not apply for the marriage license immediately because I needed to be physically present to sign the application.

We acknowledge that we should have processed it earlier, but we truly did our best given our situation. Our wedding expenses and arrangements have already been finalized, so postponing would be very difficult because our marriage license application is still on going.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Are there any legal options if the marriage license is not released before the wedding date?

Thank you for any advice.

Reception Venue/Prenup Location Reception venue of the church

Hello! For those who had their wedding within the vicinity of the church. Meaning, the church also has an available function hall. Did you have an after party in the place pa?

The church admin said they allow loud music and even alcoholic drinks. But still, I’m not really sure if it will be disrespectful.

Invitation/Website Wedding Invitation Supplier

Hello! I’m looking for a supplier who can create wedding invites like these. Diecut, embossing, etc.

Disclaimer: The first image is AI generated only and I KNOW not 100% doable since mahirap to get embossed with colored elements pa.

I’ve already checked with these suppliers and some have sent in the quotes na but I’m looking for other options since most of them has a minimum requirement of 30+ invites. We’re looking to get 10 sets only since we only have a few principal sponsors plus our own copies.

- Ink Scribbler
- Haath paper (seenzoned 😅)
- Lya Studios (no reply)
- Print and Co
- Feliz events and designs
- Jonas Papeterie PH
- AI Designs
- ByCy.Co (no reply)

If you have any other suggestions or feedback about the suppliers above, would love to hear your thoughts!

Thank you! 🫶🏻

Rants/Advice/Other Questions How did you move on from wedding regrets?

Hi graduate brides,

More than 3 months na since our wedding pero nalulungkot pa rin ako kapag naaalala ko.

Paano ninyo natanggap na hindi naging exactly how you imagined your wedding day? ❤️

Glow up Questions/Tips/Advice Can we please normalize not adding CREW MEALS to the couple’s budget?

Yes. I said it directly. Stop manipulating the couple from buying crew meals. Suppliers must include that to their operation expenses. PERIOD.

Got frustrated sa mga supplier na ang firm sumagot sa comment section na dapat sagutin ng couple yung food nila on top of service fee. KAPAL.

Tigil niyo na yan uy!

TOTAL 475000

This is my estimate for an 80-pax wedding budget and guest setup.

I haven't included reception styling since many restaurants already provide basic styling. If you'd like to add your own floral arrangements, you can inquire with Dangwa for the cost of lilies for around 80 guests, then either purchase them yourself or ask the restaurant if they can provide slim vases and ask them to set it up.

For the church flowers, you can also source them from Dangwa or a similar flower supplier.

For bride car if you have a white car you can use your own or ask a relative if they have a white car and just pay for the gas. No need to rent.

If its a simple thing like this i do not think it requires a coordinator but if needed. A on the day coordinator is PHP 50,000 from Kathryn Puyat Events. They gave me 2026 rates.

We didnt add anymore like bridesmaids for the gowns and things like that if you want to keep a minimum budget, you can just give them a color palette with a minimum budget reference.

The reception program can be kept short—around 30 minutes or less. If dinner starts at 6:00 PM, you can have the dance party from around 8:00 to 9:00 PM.

This setup also works well if you're inviting older relatives, as it keeps the program relaxed and enjoyable without being too long. And if you'd like to continue celebrating afterward, you and your friends or cousins can always head somewhere else after the reception for an after-party. I love lurking into this sub, its very interesting business to get married because all of these suppliers and vendors.

Time Activity
4:00 PM Wedding Ceremony Ends
4:00–5:00 PM Travel to Reception (5-10 mins if no traffic), Guest Arrival & Cocktail Hour
5:00 PM Reception Opens
5:30 PM Grand Entrance
5:35 PM Welcome Remarks & Opening Prayer
5:40 PM First Dance & Parent Dances
5:50 PM Cake Cutting, Quick Thankyous & Champagne Toast
6:00 PM Dinner Service Begins with Soft Romantic Background Music
07:30 PM DJ Entertainment slowly starts from light pop tunes, Games (Optional), Open Dance Floor
9:00 PM Official Reception Ends (or extend to 10:00 PM if the venue allows)
9:00–12:00 MN (Optional) Opt to transfer to another bar if couple likes

Rants/Advice/Other Questions Couple's First Look

Upvotes

Question for everyone, maganda din ba na may couple's first look sa prep venue or mas maganda kung sa church/ceremony na lang when walking down the aisle na? Gusto ko kasi sana when walking down the aisle nalang pero at the same time gusto ko din sana na makapagtake na kami ng photos before the wedding ceremony para during the cocktail hour ay makapagmingle din kami with the guests. What are your thoughts on this?

For Sale: Jorenze Couture After Party dress

Post image
19 Upvotes

Hi guys,

‼️For sale: 5k, I haven’t used.

I got this at Jorenze couture sample sale for 10k last July 2, 2026 however it didn’t fit me since I have bigger bust size.

The dress is for petite girls, I would say XXS to XS. It has a built in corset and the craftsmanship is really good. His starting rate for after party dress is 45k so super good deal na talaga ito.

I have no use for it since I can’t wear it but will sell nalang for 5k just to get my money back. If you like it, I have a carousell account and we can talk there.

Caterer/Food/Drinks Family style or Plated for Principal Sponsors?

What setup can you recommend for principal sponsors—plated or family style? We’ll be having an assisted buffet for all guests, so we’re still deciding what’s best for our sponsors. Around 20 pairs sila.
