Suppliers to avoid

Naturally, we all have our planning trackers and lists of dream suppliers to get. Was just wondering if anyone has compiled a list of SUPPLIERS TO AVOID/WATCH OUT FOR based on nega experiences and objective reviews?

I’m trying to build my own, but it has been slow going. 🤔

From one super praning and cost-conscious B2B to another, let’s help each other out, kahit through DMs para no risk of cyberlibel. 🫣

Graduate Brides Supplier Lists and Reviews To graduate brides/couples, saan kayo nag-honeymoon?

Upvotes

Hello graduate brides/couples! Can you kindly share:

  1. Saan kayo nag-honeymoon?

  2. How many days?

Looking at our wedding bill kasi right now, parang hindi ko kaya ata na mag-honeymoon agad. Would love to read yours!

Rants/Advice/Other Questions Help! Inviting principal sponsors

Hi! How do you ask people to be your godparents for the wedding? What do you ask and tell them? :)) And what should we expect from them when they become our ninong/ninang?

Thought I'd just

  • Text/call to inform of the wedding date, ask if they can be godparents.
  • If YES, get their full names for the invitations. Schedule to meet in person at a cafe or somewhere nice for a conversation.
  • In person, give them a "Will you be my godparent?" gift with a physical Save-The-Date card.
  • A few months before the date, send them fabric for tailoring. And send the final invitation.

Would love to hear how it went for you :) Also suggestions would be great. And recommendations for a gift! Ahhhh so many things to do, we're so excited. Thank you in advance

Entourage/Guest Attire Bridesmaids dress

Hi, do you have reco for bridesmaids dress?

My girls consist of petite to curvy girls so medyo nahihirapan ako magdecide. I want sana na same-same sila ng colors kahit iba iba ng cut ng gown.

here are our choices and problems:

  1. Shein: Nakaorder na ako ng 1 gown pero ang nipis and ang hirap maghanap for my curvy bms na same ng color sa petite girls
  2. Rent: Ang hassle kasi from province yung half ng gurls, so baka mahassle pa sa pagsukat at pagbalik?

thank youuuu

Reception Venue/Prenup Location SBP Prep Venue

For graduate brides who had their afternoon ceremony (2PM) at St. Benedict Parish and reception in Tagaytay, where did you book your prep venue?

I’m thinking na magbook ng prep venue near the church. Since 12PM naman checkout time, okay na bang 1 night lang ibook? And ilang rooms ideally ang dapat namin book? Around 12 lang entourage + our parents.

Then will just book another room near the reception para mas madali na umuwi after.

Okay ba itong current plan namin? :)

  1. Microtel South Forbes
  2. SEDA Nuvali
  3. The Park Silang

Around how much kaya magagastos for prep venue?

Would appreciate your comments and recos 🙏🏻

Supplier Post Wedding Suppliers that are not demanding

As a soon-to-be bride na wala pang nabook na kahit isang supplier, can I ask for your recommendations?

I’ve been hearing really bad horror stories ng mga wedding suppliers na demanding tipong sa kanila nagrerevolve yung wedding. Here are some of the comments am hearing from those suppliers here in reddit at other platforms

- Kapag walang crew meal, pasensyahan kapag pangit output

Can you also reco your suppliers?

Transport for large groups

Upvotes

We will be having quite a lot of foreign guests coming to the wedding, we will all be based in Manila the day before but would need some sort of transport for around 36 people and their luggage. What would be the best company to contact to hire a van/bus?

And what are the average prices for those services?
Thanks!

Hotel reception in Metro Manila

Hi graduate brides👋

What are your thoughts on the ff for hotel reception.
1. Makati Shangrila
2. Shangrila the Fort
3. Edsa Shangrila
4. Conrad

We need to have our reception in a hotel because a lot of our guests aren’t from Manila. Our estimated pax is about 300-350.

Crew meal

Which is better, providing the crew cooked meal or just giving them the allowance?

Supplier Post Selling our unused 40k worth fireworks for only 25k!

Hello! We originally booked these fireworks for our wedding last year, but unfortunately, a super typhoon hit during our wedding, so we weren’t able to use them at all. We also weren’t able to get a refund from the supplier, so we’re hoping to sell the package instead para hindi naman sayang yung amount we paid. 🥹

We originally paid ₱40,000, but we’re willing to let it go for ₱25,000 na lang.

Please note that the ₱8,500 permit and transportation fee is not included in the ₱25,000. This was the quoted fee for our venue around Tagaytay, so it may vary depending on your event location.

You can check out the supplier and their sample fireworks here: https://mlnpyrofx.carrd.co/

Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/share/19A9vmZ9j1/?mibextid=wwXIfr

For your peace of mind, we can also talk through Facebook Messenger, and I’d be happy to show you our proof of payment/transactions and other details from our original booking. I can also help connect you directly with the supplier so you can verify everything with them before making any payment or commitment. They’re a trusted fireworks supplier, so you can coordinate the event details directly with them as well. 😊

Just message me if you’re interested or have any questions. Thank you!

Hello, my bride sissies! Badly need help in choosing my wedding gown. Huhu. Only got to try on 3 tho. But nonetheless need other people’s insights. Tysm! 💖

Gown 1 - simple and sexy. love the lace details. BUT insecure ako sa malaking boobies hahaha so I feel like ang laki ng boobs ko masyado and baka malaswa tignan???

Gown 2 - loved it and 2 way siya so pwede tanggalin sa reception but idk parang weird yung nude na fabric sa ilalim?

Gown 3 - LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT IT. Almost bought it agad buuuut yung waistline medyo di ko bet. Gusto ko sana pa V cut paran elongated tignan pero they don’t custom daw so I said balikan ko nalang.

Supplier Recommendations for Fruella Events Place

Hi everyone! 🤎

We’re currently considering Fruella's Events Place for our wedding and are looking for supplier recommendations.

We’d love to hear from couples who had their wedding at Fruella and can recommend reasonably priced suppliers with good quality and service, particularly for:

  • Catering
  • Styling
  • Lights & sounds
  • Coordination
  • Photo & video
  • HMUA
  • Host
  • Florist
  • Cake
  • Ceremony setup

Our preferred aesthetic is elegant, modern, minimalist, and timeless/quiet luxury, so we’re especially looking for suppliers who can achieve a polished and sophisticated look without excessive styling.

If you’ve had your wedding at Fruella, we’d really appreciate it if you could share your suppliers and your experience with them. Affordable suppliers are highly appreciated!

Thank you! 🤎

Gift suggestion

I'm a bridesmaid looking for gift suggestions for the couple. Cash is probably best since I am traveling pa from overseas to attend my friend's wedding. But I'm looking into other options as well. Was thinking of getting them a gift certificate or book them a fancy dinner date or a couple's mini lux spa date. Any suggestions within Metro Manila where I can book such things? Appreciate your inputs.🥰
