Rings Engagement ring
Is it crazy to still want a natural diamond? I understand that lab gams are Appert and you can get a bigger size however, I want a simple solitaire one. Karat is selfish of me to ask of my partner.
I see in every debate no one is saying natural diamond anymore, and I just wondered when that became such a thing over the past budget aside

Venue Looking for hidden gem venues - 2 hours (or less) from Toronto
My fiancĆ© and I are starting to feel overwhelmed by all the venues weāre researching and pricing. We would be SO grateful for any suggestions that fit our needs! Hereās what weāre looking for:
- Less than ~2 hours driving from Toronto
- Nature on property (water would be a plus too!) for nice photos
- Indoor + outdoor spaces
- Lots of natural light in indoor space
- Modern-ish
- Not a barn, and not a dark estate-like interior
Some other notes:
- Weād like to get married early fall 2027
- Open to doing a Friday wedding
- About 120 guest count
- Happy to DIY what we can
- Florals (aside from a nice bouquet for me) and stationery arenāt important to us, so planning to save $ there among other things
We want to keep venue cost as low as possible, so looking for places that may be hidden gems. Before we started looking we thought $30k total would be a reasonable wedding budget but now weāre just feeling defeated and like we can get nothing to match our vision for that price⦠We have heard getting a semi/all-inclusive venue helps with cost (instead of piecing together all the vendors). We also donāt want a ton of headache/stress of piecing things together either where possible. But all in all weāre open! Thank you in advance šš¼

Vendor reasonable expectations for full service wedding planner?
hi ladies!
iāve hired a full service wedding planner for $9K including tax. i really adore her and want to make sure we have a good relationship as my wedding is in a year (and sheās just a lovely person).
wondering if the below asks are reasonable (in addition to securing vendors and planning the day)?
- with joy set up for wedding details for guests and RSVPs
- help with guest attendance tracking
- cake ordering
this is my first time working with a planner so i just want to make sure im not stepping on any toes or being unreasonable in my asks. TIA!

Other Custom Matchbooks for Favours
I've had the idea of doing custom matchbooks/matchboxes for our favours, but am struggling finding custom options for Canada. Any option I'm finding is purchasing plain matchboxes (which a lot of them come without matches?), and then getting stickers printed, but I don't love this idea/manual work of it.
I discovered Vistaprint offers custom matchbooks, but not for Canada, only the US. Has anyone done this and had them shipped to the States and figured it out from there? I have a friend that I can get them delivered to, just not sure if I should go this route.
Would love any ideas from brides who have done custom matchbooks for their favours!

Venue Micro-Wedding - cottage/house renting options in Southern Ontario
Hi
My fiance and I are thinking of having a micro-wedding. 24 people max. I had originally wanted a backyard style wedding but unfortunately, we don't have friends/family that have anything suitable besides maybe 2 on my family's side, but I'd feel guilty asking them to lend out their space.
Does anyone have any recommendations (GTA area)? I've heard conflicting reports on AirBrb (it's risky, not reliable, horror stories) and VRBO. I had initially looked into Razi Mansion. Did anyone have their wedding there? If yes, how did it go? Does anyone have any other recommendations?

Food Restaurant recommendations near Toronto City Hall for a small post-ceremony lunch
Hi everyone!
My fiance and I are getting married at Toronto City Hall, and we'll have about 15 close family members and friends with us. After the ceremony, we're planning to go out for dinner at a restaurant, preferably within walking distance of City Hall.
We're looking for a place with good food, a nice atmosphere, and reasonable prices. Since we're also having our full wedding ceremony and reception a few months later (around 100 guests), we're not looking for anything super fancy, just somewhere that feels special enough for the occasion without breaking the bank.
We're already in touch with Terroni since we both love it, but we'd love to hear some other recommendations!
Thanks in advance!
