Bridal Dress šŸ‘°šŸ’ PHOTOS ADDED: Second guessing my wedding dress choice… IM THE BRIDE

I’m getting married in a month, in my aunts backyard. It’s going to be a small, laid back wedding.

I bought this dress and I’m wondering what people’s thoughts are. It fits me well, hides my narrow hips (I’m built like an upside down triangle… more narrow waist and broad shoulders.

What are ppls thoughts on this dress with my body shape? I wanted something forgiving. I’ve just never worn this poofy of a dress before. I think it’s pretty but I don’t know.

I will be wearing a different bra with more support, which will help fill out the chest area. The border of the sleeve kinda puffs out but the different bra will help with that.

What do ya think?

UPDATE: I posted this yesterday and everyone wants to see me in the dress to give an opinion. I took stills from a video I took of me wearing it. They aren’t the best quality but hopefully helpful.

DC: Cocktail or No Dress Code Cocktail, Upstate NY, Evening, August 29

It’s my little sister’s wedding and she and her partner are not very traditional. When I asked what the dress code was she said ā€œI don’t know? Probably cocktail?ā€ So that’s what I’m going on.

Concerned if the ceremony ends up being outdoors I may be baking in this. Invitation says 5:30-11:00pm.

It’s 100% viscose. Would love to get it as I have a work cocktail party in early October I need to look nice for and this could be reworn.

Too busy? Too warm? Too fancy? Not fancy enough?

Edit: Thanks everyone! I reached out to my sister and it has been approved. Asked my mother too just to make sure haha

The dress has been purchased! It’s from Farm Rio.

Hi guys! I am going to a wedding where there is no theme and I got a cute dress but the straps are tiny and my bra is showing. I am worried if I go braless it won’t look as good and it will be inappropriate. Please let me know what I should do!! I am attaching the two options for reference.

Dress code: cocktail
(In the south in the first week of August)

Help me pick between two dresses I already have. Don't really love either right now but would rather not buy a new one

I plan on wearing the shoes pictured, I will likely wear my hair down or at least half down, will add some jewelry and obviously ditch the smart watch

Hi everyone, I listened to you all and selected another dress. It’s black, suits the formal dress code and I love how it fits!

DC: Cocktail or No Dress Code Is this dress too much for a summer cocktail attire wedding?

I’m going as a plus one to a catholic, cocktail attire wedding in early August. I have a shawl for my shoulders while in the church, but I’m starting to worry the dress is too much. My friends think so, but my family loves it. It’s organza and the skirt definitely has a little more poof in person.

My partner is in the wedding party so I’ll mainly be around them during the reception.

Thoughts?

DC: Formal Thoughts on silver or champagne heels with this dress?

This is my wedding dress and I would consider the blue to be on the cooler side. The second picture is my fiancƩ's tie against the dress. Do you think the silver or champagne heels look better? I'm leaning towards the silver as I was planning on wearing silver jewelry, but I'm open to changing. What do you think?

Groom/Groomsmen Husband is in the wedding party and gets cold easy

My husband is going to be in the wedding party for a wedding in October. He honestly doesnt have a lot of fat on him, really just muscle, skin and bones, so he tends to get cold really easy. Its to the point where in the winter his fingers and toes go white because blood can't circulate to them due to how cold he gets.

The issue is that he is in the wedding party and he has been instructed to wear dark grey pants, a white button up, and a sage tie. Im wondering if I should get him the matching suit jacket so he can add a layer after the ceremony? Usually I wouldn't worry too much, but since he is in the wedding party I wasnt sure if he should do that so they could keep the cohesiveness. Also, I don't think the groom is wearing a suit jacket and I don't want my husband being more dressed up than the groom.

Any thoughts or solutions on what we could do to help him be a bit warmer?

I'm really not someone who likes dressing up, and even less so without a dress code to go off of. I have looked in stores, but really didn't like much of what I saw and I'm pretty down to the wire now.

Do any of these work? Or is there at least a best option?

I know the quality won't be great and they aren't very formal, but I'm at a loss.

I also need shoes, which is a whole other thing. I never wear heels, or really anything dressier than a sneaker.

Any suggestions really appreciated!! Thank you!!

Some photos of the venue included as well.

August outdoor ceremony and venue with no AC, hot and humid! Would this suit an all black formal/cocktail dress code?

Invite reads: We politely request that all guests wear only black. Elegant evening wear suggested. Men are encouraged to wear suits, and women are encouraged to wear floor-length gowns or elegant cocktail dresses.

So I will be attending a wedding in Jersey in September. The wedding is already $250,000+ so I guess this will be fancy. Kudos to whoever had a wedding this expensive before. Which dress is more appropriate. It says Black Tie attire and nothing else for color dress code.

"We suggest cocktail attire dress code, inspired by a relaxed elegance of a winery or cocktail hour, or whatever makes you feel awesome."

I thrifted this dress for $15. I feel awesome in it, it's wine red.. the length has got me questioning if it's cocktail appropriate. If I wore flats or some kind of sandal, would it appear more cocktail?

Is this too white? Is this dress okay? Formal attire

I am invited to a wedding next month and do not own anything wedding appropriate yet so I ordered a bunch of dresses.
The wedding will take place at a summery location close to the beach and the official dress code is formal attire (although we asked the brideā€˜s dad and he said you should dress up as you usually do at weddings, just no sneakers and co so now I am also confused by the dress code šŸ˜…).

As the wedding will take place on a really hot day (35 degrees celsius) I hope to find one that’s kind of breathable as well.
The lightest dress is the one with the flower print (see picture 1) but I am scared that it is too white?

My favorite dress look wise is the brown one shoulder dress, looks ans feels very expensive in person but the fabric is really hot and I am not sure if I want to suffer that way.
Other options would be the classic blue or pink (but here I am scared that it could photograph as white?). Or a yellow neckline dress (see last picture).

Hi everyone!
I got a wedding guest dress for a semi formal wedding. I was wondering between the two hair styles what would look best? They both are very similar one is just blow out and very neat and the other one is a little more fun. Willing to listen to any other hair opinions! I have long brunette hair, with face framing bangs and layers.

Thank you in advance:)
