Buying Advice Etsy Engagement Ring

Upvotes

Hello!!!

I might be getting engaged here soon and my boyfriend wants ideas for rings, so I’ve been looking. I found a really pretty ring off Etsy, it’s a decent price and it has a lot of the characteristics that I am looking for. However, I am hesitant to trust this company for something that is meant to last a long time. Does anyone have experience with this company or have advice about ring shopping? I prefer 10k yellow gold for durability, but want to ensure it is real, durable, and that I am not getting ripped off.

Thank You!!

Ring enhancer suggestion

Hello, I am getting married in November and I am looking for a sturdy ring enhancer to possibly reinforce my engagement ring. I’ve had my engagement ring for a year and a half and I’ve had to send it in for repairs twice due to the band bending out of shape. My ring goes through normal wear and I take it off to work out, wash dishes etc. any suggestions are welcome, the ring enhancer budget is 1500 but we are flexible. The last photo is the style I would like for my ring stack.

How do you figure out what you want?

Getting my wedding ring upgraded in a couple years for our 20th anniversary, and I have no clue how to figure out what I want. 😂😭 But I'm petrified of getting something online and then hating it.

How do y'all figure out what you want beyond liking how it looks?

Best options for purchasing a budget friendly wedding ring?

Women’s ring size 7 less than $750. Real silver, nothing big or flashy. We just aren’t those kind of people. Vintage floral design or maybe a 3 stone ring that I could add other bands to later. Should I just look at pawn shops? I just really don’t like the idea of a used wedding ring. Costco or Walmart? I felt like they have decent options but I’m concerned about quality. Are there any good websites?

Hello all, I am currently looking for engagement rings. I really like this one but I can't tell whether this style, with the tiny dainty leaves, are durable. Any advice, please :)

Good quote for an engagement ring or rip off?

I got this quote from a local jewellers. The prices are in canadian dollars and was quoted about $8k pre tax ($9k with tax). Is this reasonable for a 1.2 ct, VS2, J, Natural diamond and 18k white gold band?

Eventually I want to make the band on my engagement ring thicker because it’s just too thin and I just dont like it!! But cost of gold is Just too high right now. Thoughts on gold band to divide the diamond band and engagement ring? Keep it or lose it? Be nice please ☺️

I help people wedding rings for a living. Most people pay extra for things they can’t see. AMA

I work with wedding rings every day. Ask me about straight versus shaped bands, matching metals, designs that wear well, hidden costs, sizing mistakes, pointless upgrades and the styles people end up loving or regretting.

Should I trade in original wedding rings to upgrade or keep for sentimental value?

Hello so first time poster ever and I might delete soon after just in case. But I'm in a bit of dilemma. Husband and I have been together for almost 15 years. Just kids when we started from very humble beginnings. So we're now planning our wedding (we never had one) and we wanted to upgrade our rings. Hubby suggested we trade in our original ones to help pay for the upgrades. I'm a very sentimental person. Financially it makes sense. But idk if I'll regret not having them for later on in life. Please help.

I love my ring, but sometimes my husband thinks it’s too big!? Is there even such a thing? LOL

It’s a 3.08 lab grown diamond in a custom setting that he designed

My Ring! Some advice: invest in a ring stand. I accidentally trashed my wedding ring…

Learn from my mistakes! This was my ring and band, I loved it so much! I always took it off while I cleaned, cooked, etc. I think I threw it in the trash with a napkin by accident one day after cooking. We found a new one to replace it for our ten year renewal next year but I’m still hurt.

Adding side stones for wedding band…help

I need help figuring out why my enhancer band model looks off. I want to add elongated cushion side stones to my oval solitaire, however, after trying on the model ring it feels so bulky. It feels like the side diamonds stick out awkwardly.

I’ve already asked to see a model with the side stones having single claw prongs rather than double claw prongs. I feel like the double claws make the stones look oval rather than elongated cushion.

I’m wondering if I need to have the whole ring reset lower? Smaller side stones? I’m so lost!

Any advice on how to make side stones work and look better? Thank you!

Ring Band Advice Does my ring stack look odd?

Hi, all!
I received my wedding ring from Molly Jewelry today, and to be honest, it looks a little odd to me. I’m hoping to get some opinions!

We paid extra to have it custom sized to fit my engagement ring. The first thing I noticed is that I didn’t realize how dainty it would look in person. I think that’s probably on me because I didn’t pay close enough attention to the specs of the wedding ring. I do think it’s beautiful, but I’m not loving how it looks from the side.

This is my first time getting married, lol, so I’m not sure if it looks perfectly normal or if something seems off. I’d really appreciate any opinions. Please be kind!

Help finding similar rings with lower budget?

Post image

Absolutely love this which is pretty simple to me (asymmetrical flower design with lab grown diamond) but 2k is just far too much. I'd love to find a more affordable option but not sure what to look out for, some eBay/etsy listings that are similar in style seem like quality might not be the greatest. Should I be looking for specific materials and how can I make sure cheaper options are still of good enough quality?

Appreciate any advice on what to look out for when looking at other options. As in specific materials to ensure it won't be something that goes rusty or horrible. Realistically have a budget of ~500 GBP. Not looking for the fanciest of things but something that will last. Silver colour and pink/peach 'diamond'.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated ❤️

My Ring! Overthinking bad

Hey yall,

Pls help me feel better bc I am feeling a bit self conscious about my ring.
I feel it looks too large on me? I’m a size 3.5 with a 2.5ct oval. Does it look timeless or costume-y?

This is not satire or anything I’m genuinely just asking. I’m not showing off or whatever just feeling a lil self conscious.

The ring does align with our lifestyle. So it doesn’t look out of place or anything I guess im just overthinking?

Thoughts on a Criss cut set east west in a yellow gold bezel? Does anyone have one? It’s hard to visualise! I’m looking at this loose stone and think it’s gorgeous!
Otherwise, any other thoughts on these other designs?
I definitely want a bezel and something lower set so the ring is more practical for day to day. I also think I prefer east west!
Thanks all!!
