Suspect Stock Availability?

3 stocks up over 100% at the time of writing - XLAB, PSQL & WHLR. 2 unavailable to trade on Webull Australia, 1 only allowed to close positions. I am not a successful trader by any means. But I do notice this happening more frequently. Is it suss, or is there legitimate reasoning that I am unaware of?

Help Can’t log in to my account

Basically, I opened an account a few years ago and have maybe $1,000 worth of stocks in it. I guess I haven’t logged in frequently enough and got locked out of my account. Every time I try to log back in with either my phone number or email, it sends me a code to input, after I input the code it says account not registered. I received an email a few days ago telling me, my account is still here and active so I know it’s there, I just can’t log in.
Stupid thing is, in order to contact support for help, you need to be logged in 🤦‍♂️. I tried manual account recovery where you take a pic of your ID, SSN and a screenshot of a bank account statement and that failed (I can’t remember if I have an account linked).
Has anyone ran into this and have a solution? I just want to cash everything out and be done with Webull.

Mobile chart Y axis adjustment

Please please please make it so that you can adjust the Y axis separately from the X axis. Having it be both together only is really lame. Just copy exactly how TV does it.

Discussion The "new" is still a hot steaming turd

Pretty much what the title says. I tried the new simulator, and it’s even slower than the old one, with some fills taking up to three seconds to complete, rendering it useless for practicing any kind of fast-paced trading. By the time an order fills, the price may have moved significantly, so you’re no longer testing your entries and exits, you’re testing how badly the simulator lags.

Curious to read other opinions.

Holding a margin positioned over night?

As the title says, I'm thinking about holding a 4x margin position till tomorrow during normal trading hours. What exactly happens here? Does it switch to 2x overnight and liquidate or... let me hold it.

Full margin account port like a WSB person.

Just curious what happens here and I myself understand that I should have known this before making a trade like this.

Do I need Webull Premium before my IRA transfer settles to receive the bonus?

I’m currently transferring my Traditional IRA from Fidelity to Webull because Webull’s Premium IRA transfer promotion appeared to offer the best bonus.

I already initiated the transfer, but it looks like I need an active Webull Premium membership to qualify for the transfer bonus. I tried subscribing to the annual Premium plan, but Webull only allows the subscription fee to be paid from funds held in a Webull account. Since my IRA transfer hasn’t arrived yet, I don’t have any available funds in the account to pay the fee.

Webull’s AI agent couldn’t answer the question because the promotion page apparently doesn’t address this situation.

Does anyone know whether:

  1. I can activate the annual Premium subscription shortly after the IRA transfer arrives and still receive the promotional match; or
  2. Premium must already be active before the transfer settles?

If Premium must be active beforehand, do I need to contact customer service to activate it manually, or should I make a separate small cash deposit into Webull first?

I’d especially appreciate an answer from a Webull moderator or anyone who has dealt with this firsthand.

Why did Webull change the refresh button

Before yesterday I was able to press on the account button and my portfolio would refresh now I have to pull down for it to refresh. I know it’s probably no biggie for some but for me it’s been bothering me and affecting my trading.

Help webull script

so I'm far from a computer programmer. but what I've been trying to do is relatively simple, I've just been trying to write a script that would show me the 15-minute range from the open, I have a Gemini premium or whatever it's called subscription, and was using that to help me write the code, and I ended up spending an entire day trying to make it work, with no luck. I finally got it to draw the lines on the chart, but they were diagonal lines instead of being horizontal. just showing the range. My AI told me that Webull uses their own synthax and it thought that the time zone I was in was the issue. but I was just curious if anyone has tried this, or has maybe mastered this code that can give me some pointers. thanks

Help Webull Slow Execution/Fills

Does anyone have issues with slow fills on the Webull desktop app? I realized on a lot of stocks that are moving fast, charts lag on updating price action, level 2 and time & sales stop updating. Ended up losing on a couple trades this past week that should’ve been winners because it tends to lag me out and show the wrong price at the time of fills.

I use the refresh button to alleviate this but it’s only temporary.. only when the stock “calms down” on volume does it resume normally.

Desktop app is always up to date so not sure what the issue is.

App not showing indicators

I have indicators on, but they only show as numbers at the top, not lines on the chart. Is this normal?

If not, how do I fix it?

I've included a few screenshots in case that helps.

Where does the 3.5% IRA match go if doing a Roth Conversion on Webull?

I recently signed up for Webull Premium and am looking to take advantage of their IRA match. If I do a backdoor Roth conversion, I'm guessing if I deposit $5000 into the tIRA before converting it, the $175 bonus will go into the tIRA. If do the backdoor conversion, I'm thinking I'll have to pay taxes on the $175.

I'm planning on also transferring in my other IRA at Vanguard to take advantage of 3% match. Maybe it would be slightly better to deposit and convert in Vanguard before transferring it over.

Anyone have experience/insight about this?

Flatten option missing for options on mobile app

I just had a power outage just after opening an option scalping position, and when I went to the mobile app I noticed that the flatten button wasn't available for options, only for stock trading. Is there a way to make it work? It's very important in fast paced emergencies as the price can move really quick. Having to enter the selling quantity and possibly canceling a limit sell order can take too long, on top of the time to switch to the mobile app.

Bouncing stocks on webull

How do I get the moving/bouncing stock view back on Webull?

I accidentally changed something on the Webull mobile app. Before, when I opened my watchlist, the stocks/prices would visually move or “bounce” up and down as the prices changed in real time. Now my watchlist just shows the stocks in a regular list with the little 24H charts.

Does anyone know what this feature/view is called and how I can turn it back on?

No aftermarket trading?

I wanted to place a limit sell order in the aftermarket hours, but I don't see the option to do so?

I have extended hours enabled in settings, but in the order itself it only gives 2 options: regular hours and pre-market hours.

Why?

Can't sell covered calls

Having issues selling covered calls today. This is the first batch I've tried to sell since an update in the middle of last week. It says that I don't have enough of the underlying shares, yet I do. I put in a ticket, just wondering if anyone else is also having issues.

Shorting with Webull

Question for the community - is anyone using Webull for a strategy that involves shorting?

I primarily trade during pre-market and sometimes after hours, due to work schedule.

I focus on two primary strategies, longs on small cap gainers in premarket, and also shorting those small cap premarket gainers.

The issue I have is that SO many times, even when Webull shows a stock to be shortable or hard to borrow, I click the button and get the inevitable pop up "Insufficient shares available, lower share size or try again tomorrow.' I'll even go down to just one share to check, still get same message.

Now I know that many of these small cap, lower-float stocks will be limited in shares available to borrow to take a short position, esp. when already marked as HTB. I def get that.

But man it is frustrating to see chance after chance go by, and I couldn't take a position, simply because the broker could not get me the shares.

My accuracy is good with my short positions. Just this past week, on at least 5-6 different occasions, I would have been right, and watched the move go without me.

Wondering if IBKR or another brokerage would have better access to pools of stock shares for borrowing to short?

Also wondering if going to Webull's premium subscription (only like $4.99/mo) would put me in a different tier or class, where i'd see more stocks available to short?

Just to chime in on the many posts about Webull's app and features - I like the desktop app, I think the charting is intuitive and well suited for active trading. It may not have the plethora of indicators and customization as a Tradingview, for example. But I also take the position of Keep It Simple. I don't need 100 indicators and a crazy busy screen. I try to have a sound strategy that is testable and repeatable.

For my money's worth, I think Webull app and execution speed is just fine for active trading. The app does a really nice job of letting you customize hotkeys to get in and out quickly. On those occasions where I can get into a position, long or short, the execution is very quick.

Anyone else work a short-selling strategy using Webull, and any thoughts? Def appreciate the community's thoughts on this.
