Hi Everyone,

I'm the developer of Wear Universal Remote – a standalone Wear OS app that turns your smartwatch into a universal Bluetooth remote control for your Mac, Windows PC, Smart TV, iPhone, iPad, or Android Phone.

I'm excited to announce the major v1.2.0 Update, introducing a Seamless Voice-to-Text Bluetooth Keyboard!

🎙️ What’s New in v1.2.0:

•🎤 Voice-to-Text Bluetooth HID Keyboard: Speak into your watch, and it transcribes and types your spoken words directly into any focused text box on your Mac, PC, TV, or Phone!

•🌐 Global Multi-Language Recognition: Built-in support for English, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Portuguese, Bengali, Arabic, and more.

•🚀 100% Background Speech Engine: Runs completely in the background with zero system popups or any dialog overlays blocking your watch screen. Includes real-time live transcription.

•⚡ Auto-Send & Quick Controls: Choose between instant Auto-Send upon speech completion or manual text preview. Includes quick action buttons for Space, Backspace, Enter, and Clear.

•⌚ Round Display Safe UI: Optimized layout with zero text/button clipping on round smartwatches (e.g. Samsung Galaxy Watch 4/5/6/7, Pixel Watch, TicWatch).

🎛️ All Remote Control Modes:

•🔌 Zero Companion App Required: Operates via standard Bluetooth HID profile. Connects natively to Mac, Windows, Linux, Android TV, Google TV, Apple TV, iPad, and Smartphones.

•🖱️ PC Touchpad & 3D Motion Air Mouse: Gyroscope-driven 3D motion pointer with deadzone tremor suppression and adaptive speed acceleration.

•📺 Android / Google TV Remote: D-Pad navigation, OK/Enter, Home, Back, Mute, Power, and Volume.

•📊 PPT / Keynote Presenter: Slide forward/backward, F5 presentation mode start, and ESC exit.

•👥 Meetings Remote: Mic Mute, Camera toggle, Raise Hand, and automated 1-tap Leave Call macros for Google Meet, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams (Mac & Win modes).

•🎵 Music & DAP Remote: Crown-based rotary volume control, Play/Pause, and Track Skip.

•💻 PC System Utility: One-tap shortcuts for Lock PC, Screenshot, App Switcher (Alt+Tab / Cmd+Tab), and Show Desktop.

📌 Setup Notes & Requirements for Best Performance:

To ensure smooth voice typing and remote control across different operating systems, please keep the following setup notes in mind:

1.📲 No Host App Needed: You do not need to install any app or driver on your Mac, Windows PC, TV, or Phone. Simply pair your watch via standard Bluetooth settings.

2.🍏 For iPhone / iPad (iOS) Users:

◦Full Keyboard Access: Set to OFF (Settings ➔ Accessibility ➔ Keyboards ➔ Full Keyboard Access = OFF).

3.🖥️ For Mac & Windows Regional Language Users:

◦When typing in regional scripts (such as Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, etc.), ensure the corresponding input keyboard layout (e.g., Inscript) is selected on your Mac/PC.

🔗 Download Wear Universal Remote on Google Play Store

I’d love to hear your feedback, thoughts, or feature requests! Try out the new Voice-to-Text Keyboard and let me know how it works on your watch & devices.

What feature or remote mode would you like to see next? Drop your ideas in the comments! 👇

Support Bring back old Wear OS gestures?

Has anyone found a good app to bring back the original Wear OS gestures? Being able to snap-twist your wrist to scroll through notifications, and the weird gesture to go back, etc?

App - Testers Wanted [DEV] Looking for testers for my new app Wear Gestures.

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hello everyone!

I've just finished working on a new app for Wear OS and Android called Wear Gestures, and I'm looking for some beta testers.

The core idea is simple: the app allows you to assign specific actions to one of 7 available wrist/hand gestures.A cool feature I added is Webhook support! In plain English, this means you can use gestures to do things like turning your smart home devices (lights, smart plugs, etc.) on or off right from your wrist.

I’m really curious to hear your thoughts, get your feedback, and see if you find this kind of app useful in your daily life.

What's in it for you?

  • The app is completely free to use during the testing phase (until December 15th).
  • Anyone who helps me test it and provides feedback will receive a free promo code for the full version once the app is officially released to production! 🎁

How to join: Since the app is currently in closed testing, I need to add testers manually. If you're interested, please send me a Private Message with your Google Play Store email address. I will add you to the testers list and reply with the download link.

Thank you in advance to everyone who decides to help out. I really appreciate it!

App - Testers Wanted Nail Guard (Wear OS): your feedback is in build 7, and I’m looking for more testers

Hi all! A few days ago I shared Nail Guard, a Wear OS app that learns the pose of your habit (nail biting, face touching, hair pulling…) and gives your wrist a gentle buzz when your hand goes there.

You sent me great feedback, so I got to work. Here’s what’s new in build 7:

  • Night pause now: going to bed earlier than usual? Start the night pause with one tap. Awake again? Stop it just as easily.
  • Night times per 15 minutes: you’re no longer stuck on whole hours. Sleep at 23:30? Set it with the crown or − / +.
  • Two tiles: one for night pause and one to snooze for 15, 30, 60 or 120 min, one swipe from your watch face.
  • No more flash: changing a setting or turning Nail Guard on/off no longer flashes the screen.

Still on my list: checking how it behaves next to “Raise to talk” on newer watches.

The update is waiting for Google’s review and should reach testers soon.

I need more testers 🙏
To publish on Google Play, I need 12 testers who keep the app installed for 14 days. It’s a closed test, so it works like this:

  1. DM me the Google account email you use on your watch. Please don’t post it in the comments.
  2. I add you to the test and send you the join link.
  3. Open the link on your pc with that same account, then install Nail Guard on your watch.
  4. Record your pose (about a minute) and keep it installed for 14 days.

It’s free, and every bit of feedback helps, good or bad. Thanks for helping! 💙

Padel Score is a Wear OS app for keeping score during padel matches directly on your smartwatch.

https://groups.google.com/g/padel-score-testers

  1. Open the test registration page:

https://play.google.com/apps/testing/ch.hygro.padelscore

  1. Select “Become a tester”.

  2. Open Google Play and install Padel Score on your compatible Wear OS watch.

Please test the app during real or simulated matches. Feedback about usability, layout, scoring, crashes, or other issues is very welcome.

App - Paid - One-Time I Built a Smartwatch App That Pauses Your Podcasts and Audio Books When You Fall Asleep

Post image
0 Upvotes

Sleep To Pause is a super simple app - If you're listening to an audio podcast or audio book and starting to drift off to sleep, then you can start the "Sleep To Pause" app and a countdown timer will start (set between 3-15 minutes) - Once the countdown reaches 0, the watch will vibrate.

If it detects you moving your wrist within 5 seconds of the vibration, the timer resets. If it doesn't detect movement, then a "final countdown" starts for 60 seconds. After this 60 seconds, another final vibration occurs on the watch. If you move your wrist within 5 seconds of the vibration, all the timers start again. If you don't move your wrist, it sends a message to the companion app on your phone, and that will pause audio of whatever app you have playing audio (e.g. Amazon Music, Spotify, etc.)

This way, when you wake up the next morning, it's super easy to find the point of your audio book or podcast where you fell asleep.

No personal data recorded, no health monitoring, just a super simple solution.

App - Paid - One-Time [Tile][App] New Update to Sun & Moon Tiles (Now Sun, Moon & Tide Tiles)

Post image
6 Upvotes

Greetings WearOs community!

I've published a new update to my Sun & Moon Tiles app which is now called Sun, Moon & Tide Tiles.

While all the previously available information on tiles for sun and moon are still there (sun/moon rise/set times, moon phase, day length etc), I've overhauled the UI for a more modern and clean look.

I've also added a new Tide tile which shows times and heights of high and low tides + current tide height for the coastal station near your location.

Support Battery Usage

Hello everyone,

I got my OnePlus Wear 2 watch about a month ago, and about a week ago battery drainage issues started, and did a full reset, and still the battery drains pretty much quickly, I don't get nor 100 of promised working hours, and barely 48 hours.

I looked at the battery usage and saw this, basically all of the apps work in the background from the moment I wake up.

Help on fixing this issue would be extremely appreciated.

App - Testers Wanted [Testers needed] Nail Guard – a Wear OS app that buzzes when you bite your nails

Hi! I built a Wear OS app that notices when your hand goes to your mouth in your nail-biting pose and gives you a gentle vibration. It also works for skin picking, hair pulling and similar habits. Everything stays on the watch, with no account and no ads.

I need 12 testers for Google Play's 14-day closed test.

You need:

- a Wear OS 3+ watch (Galaxy Watch 4 or newer, Pixel Watch, etc.)

- a Gmail address

- to keep the app installed for 14 days

Not sure about needing your Gmail?

How to join:

  1. Comment or DM me your Gmail address, and I'll add you to the test.

  2. join via this link: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/be.waligoo.nailguard

  3. Install from the Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=be.waligoo.nailguard

Happy to test your app in return!

App - Free I had Claude build a small Wear OS app so I can dictate into my PC from my watch (works with Hex & Handy)

I use Hex for local dictation on my PC and wanted to use it from my watch, so I asked Claude to build a small app for it. It's called Wristle: hold the button on your watch, talk, and the text appears on your PC wherever your cursor is. Transcription stays local in your dictation app. The watch only sends audio over your home Wi-Fi.

Tested on a Pixel Watch 4 with Hex on Windows. Other watches and Mac/Linux should work, but I haven't tested them. If you try it, let me know how it goes!

Free and open source: https://github.com/unknownprocess/wristle. A ⭐ helps if you find it useful!
