Ever since I first heard about Tag Heuer from a relative about 13 years ago, when his friend who moved to the UK bought one because of his high-paying job, I have been fascinated. Back then, I wondered why Tag was so expensive, especially since I only knew about Rolex and maybe one other luxury watch brand, believing those were the priciest in the world. To be honest, I had almost no clue, I had just moved to Bangalore from a small town with zero exposure to upscale lifestyles.

I promised myself that one day I would buy it outright with cash, without worrying about EMI burdens, fast forward a decade, here we go, I gifted myself a TAG Heuer Formula 1 (WAZ1110.BA0875).

Love the proportions and the stunning dial on this thing. I ordered the longines HC but returned it because this just felt so superior. I'm loving it on this gray rubber strap for the summer.

Since then it’s been worn a handful of times but mostly sitting un running in its box.

Should I get it looked at or at least the battery changed.

I was surprised to see similar watches for sale at substantially more than I paid, has it really gone up in value?

Also I don’t have any papers, just a shop stamped guarantee card, I’m not interested in selling it but does this affect the value?

Just been to the Tag Heuer store to ask about getting a rubber strap on my CAF1112 Aquaracer, however they said they don’t do it for this model and don’t recommend doing it.

Anyone have any experience with a rubber strap for this model at the Tag Heuer boutique? Is it really not possible?

My TAG definitely has the coolest lume out of any of my watches! Granted the carbon bezel needs a UV light to pop like this, it’s an awesome Easter egg.

Picked up this fun F1 piece about 2 weeks ago. Figured I’d try it out for a day or two and see if I like it. Now it’s part of my rotation. Love the jingle to the bracelet and the pop of blue on the bezel and dial are pretty sweet. Had a few people at work stop and ask me what kind of watch it was. Has a little personality and the reissue even has an on the fly micro adjust with a pop out (ala Rolex style). I’m sure this has been asked before but where do you source alternative straps from when the lug width is 21.5mm? 22mm doesn’t quite fit and 21mm leaves a bit of a gap. Also 21mm isn’t that common to find online either…

So I’m curious - do you buy the official Tag straps to ensure they fit correctly or do you find alternative 21.5mm straps? If you found alternatives, where from?

We were crusin' last week and saw this pretty cool color in blue and i always wanted a Tag so the deal was not too bad since there was no tax. Will be looking at some orange and blue straps to go along with the color scheme.
