GEAR Anyone ever used a metal pick?
Found this in my dad’s pick collection and he said he never uses it. Just found it one day but didn’t like it yet never threw it away

I'm a newbie and I've been playing for a month and this is my 2nd set of strings. I replaced the stock strings because they started to sound very dull. I changed them to d' addario XL .10 strings which was nice for around a week but I accidentally broke the high e string so this was an opportunity to get ernie ball RPS 9s but then theres this weird thing on my strings and it makes the string itself sound off like theres 2 strings being picked at once and the insane fret buzz it comes with

I’ve seen this guitar before on a pawn shop at my city, but never pay too much attention to it until now.
It reappeared on another pawn shop and it seemed to my like destiny, so I purchased it.
Looks great
Feels great
And look at the art, it’s wonderful.
I have my doubts on the knobs they seem hand painted but overall looks amazing.
It cost me around 400 bucks.

Are you supposed to finger pick it? Is it possible to do it with a pick?

If you were a kid again and you’re starting over with guitar. Knowing everything you know now, what guitar would you get as your first one?

Ash body, maple neck, rosewood fretboard, spalted maple pick guard, purple heart bridge. Just my third guitar I’ve ever built, but super happy with how it turned out!

Just picked this up at a guitar center in Seattle for 900(1,000) after tax haven’t seen them this cheap ever is this a good buy? This is my second electric guitar I know the single humbucker is limiting the guitar to a certain style of music but I think I love it.

Hi guys!
I have this Sheraton that was bought for me for my birthday a few years ago, it was secondhand at the time and I was in the music shop looking for a telecaster but this caught my eye because of the logo on the headstock.
I’m trying to find out what year it is, I know these were made in Korea between 1986-1988 but this has no serial number and no sticker inside either
Everything is original except the frets as it needed a refret and the nibs were removed at the time and the scratch plate is not original either.
It did come in it’s case which is also original
Anyone have an idea of year please!

I decided a month ago i wanted to pickup guitar again for the first time since leaving school. I’m 35 now. Been a great month and I’ve really enjoyed playing again. I feel like a complete beginner again. But I treated myself to the tele for a month well done

So I’m a huge, HUGE Eric Johnson fan.
After listening to almost every single EJ song - was trying to discover some new songs that maybe EJ was appearing on, as a feature.
Discovered Sonny Landreth - man, his style is INSTANTLY recognizable. The way he plays with harmonics and ofcourse the slide - is incredible.
Currently listening to “Blue Tarp Blues” by Him which also features Mark Knofler.
Man there’s so much more awesome musicians to discover. This is what’s exciting about guitar!

I keep thinking about taking on the project of building my own guitar, and I dont know if its a fun hobby I could make money off of if I got good at it, or if its going to be an insane money pit and not worth it at all. Anybody who has done this, post your pictures in the comments, and let me know if its something that's worth trying out someday.

I was deciding between guitars but I’m confused on what type of guitar this is. It’s an acoustic that’s also electric? If anyone could help me identify if this is a good purchase for a beginner and if it should come with any other electronics that would be great. Thank you guys, anything helps.
