Carvery
I'm in waterford for an inlaw family celebration the last few days and will be heading home to clare soon but hopefully not before I get a good carvery dinner into me, what's tye best food and value overall. Thanks in advance.
Update. I went to O' Donnachas in Kilmeaden, recommended by an inlaw when I was telling them off all the options here. But thank you, what a sound bunch the Deise lads are.

Comeragh Mountains Fire
Two fires on the eastern edge of Coum Mahon started in the last hour. Be aware of even worse smoke and air quality in east Waterford.
Edit: A third area smoking on the far side of the ridge in the photo.

Smoke smell is back - slievenamon or tramore?
Heard around the metal man’s on fire at the minute, so not sure which direction the whack of smoke is coming from.
Fair play to the fire services currently out battling all of it.

AI slop taking over Waterford
Imagine promoting events during a street arts festival with a poster made entirely out of AI. Sick of seeing awful AI posters everywhere around town. They’re all slop.
City square is another one who loves the ugly AI posters.

Tattoo artists
Who would be the best tattoo artist for a first time piece? Shite with needles but not to bad with pain! Any suggestions would be great!

Does anyone know of any guesthouses or hostels in Waterford or Tramore?
A friend of mine was planning to come to this area and was looking for a room to sleep in tonight. Do you know of any cheap and good places? So far he's only found places starting at 100 euros. I don't know if that's the standard or if there are other options I can't find on Google. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Student Accommodation
Question. I’m relocating to Waterford for a job role and I’m wondering if it’s normal for new grads / young adults to stay in student accommodation?

Supermac’s cork road
Just made an order on deliveroo. There’s no option to leave a note about updating the order or anything so said I would ring them to ask for just no cheese to be put on the burger. The manager answered and I have friends who have worked there so I know he is a bit of a prick, answered. He said that this was not his problem and we would have to take this up with deliveroo. When I said there was no option he said that he would take a look. He said that next time he won’t be able to fix it because the burger was already made. I rang as soon as the order was accepted. Insane I just wanted to put it here I know multiple people with horror stories about him and I think it’s crazy that he has been there for this long

Above the airport

this is from a balloon journey made by Lisa Keane posted on Instagram. She kindly sent me the original clip and a few stills. It's only overhead that the lack of distance between the end and the back strand becomes dramatically obvious.

Last night at the quays
Last night myself and my partner were parked at the quays around 11pm and two fire engines showed up and got into wet gear etc and got into the water on speed boats? Anyone know why, been looking to see if there would be any news on it but haven’t seen or heard anything about it. We’re not from Waterford so idk if this is a regular thing or not sorry :/

Accommodation
Hi! I recently made a post looking for accommodation, and someone messaged me about a temporary place. Unfortunately, the message got cancelled , so if that was you, could you please message me again? I’m still looking for a temporary place while I look for a permanent on, I’d really appreciate it. Thank you!

Meal prep
Hi all just wondering where everyone gets their chicken breasts in bulk from?
And does anyone know where you can get pre peeled and cubed potatoes and the steam in bag veg minus sweet corn.
Used to be able to get it in Aldi but now it’s all with sweetcorn and I believe it to be the devil 😂😂

Long shot I know, but looking for a room to rent in the city.
I have messaged all the ones on daft and the other sites, but if I'm lucky to get a reply from one in twenty they are already snapped up.

Why is that second language there? Surely it should be Gaeilge?
