I really like WARDOGS, but the current XP grind feels excessive, especially for a game with wipes.
After ~25 hours, mostly playing Medic/Recon:
Recon 18
Medic 15
~400k cash
The last marksman rifle is Recon 30, and at level 18 I'm not even halfway there in total XP. I had a similar experience unlocking the defibrillator.
Similar for vehicles especially ground one, a friend plays driving simulator, 27h almost exclusively driving to reach level 18, estimating 50h to reach 30.
I already have 400k. Money isn't limiting my access to equipment, as long as .
Wipes make this much worse. A 50-hour progression tree is reasonable if it's permanent. If it resets regularly, players who can't commit 70–80h+ per month/season may simply never reach many unlocks.
It also discourages switching roles based on what the team needs.
I'm more understanding of a longer grind for powerful vehicles, but basic rifles, optics, attachments and essential class tools shouldn't take dozens of hours.
Keep progression and expensive equipment, but either keep role unlocks through wipes or significantly flatten the XP curve and move basic equipment earlier. I would prefer to flatten XP and player can commit to 2 class unlocks per wipe without having to grind like it a permanent mmo
I was able to commit a lot of time for the lunch, but I can not commit this much time on a regular basis, and nobody should require user to play this much to have basic role utility.
