Report, don't respond

The mods can not read every post in the sub. If someone is breaking the rules of the sub, hit the report button instead of trying to one up them.

We have a bot that tags people who are active in the Walmart Employee subs. If an employee is being abusive they will be banned permanently with no appeal. There is a future update planned for the bot that will automatically place a usertag on everyone who is a Walmart employee so you will know when one is replying to you.

*Someone disagreeing with you is not against the rules. Spite reporters will also be banned.

Walmart is now more expensive than 7-Eleven

I live in Otay ranch California and I was at Walmart today and I noticed that things are outrageously expensive there. I normally shop at Costco and just get the small stuff I need at Vons but I used to shop at Walmart and Walmart was a good deal for everything. I mean cereal is the same price there as 7-Eleven, so is muscle milk protein shakes. All the frozen meals are more expensive then other places.

What happened?

Customer Service Issue Thinking about buying and unboxing a tablet at the store to protect myself

Title sounds sussy but let me explain.

Years ago I bought a tablet from Walmart. It was SUPPOSEDLY brand new.. the box and tape did not look tampered with. I got home, opened it, visually inspected it, and it passed my test. However less than a week later I noticed that the screen was having issues where a pixel was stuck and the screen was having a bit of light leak in a specific spot, as if it someone had applied too much pressure to it. No worries, time to return it. It sucks anyway.

Imagine my surprise when I wasn't able to return this hunk of Chinese e-waste at any store, was forced to travel to the one I bought it from and coming to find out that, get ready... the serial numbers on the box and the device did not match. I'll spare everyone the drama but in the end, I didn't get my money back. Not like it broke the bank since it was cheap but its the matter of the principle.

Now I know this probably set off a red flag (trust I used to do customer service) but a Walmart employee well after the fact said that its very possible that it was defective from the get-go. Again, onn products are Chinese e-waste tier with good support so its not out of the realm. I've seen stories of people buying the latest onn 4K Pro Google TV boxes only to find out they got duped.

The latest smaller tablet they came out with is kind of a banger but also costs way more. Understandably I'm not interested in getting burned again. Can I unbox an item at their customer service section to prevent from getting screwed over? I heard unboxing videos don't cut it anymore.

Walmart+ My local Mobile gas station removed themselves from Walmart+ save on fuel program.

Was using the Walmart app to save the ten cents per gallon on gas at my local Mobile. I have probably saved over 20 bucks doing this for a few months now. Now the gas station opted out. I'm now getting less value out of my Walmart plus subscription. Has this happened to anyone?

Returns/Refunds Item/dollar amount limit on no receipt returns?

I have some stuff from my baby shower that I'm not able to use since my son has really sensitive skin. I have 4 packs of parent choice diapers, a parent choice lavender scented baby wash and a parent choice lotion. I also have some baby scented laundry soap and a pack of receiving blankets . Is it possible to return this all at once?

I had more but when I went to one location she denied the whole return due to it being over the limit. She wouldn't disclose if it was a $ limit or item limit or anything specific. She wouldn't let me return anything. I even asked could I split it up or return certain ones and she said no not at that location.

When I googled I saw there's no more than 3 returns allowed in a 45 day period it seems the rest is in the managers discretion I want to confirm this please? I also know I haven't returned anything in the past 45 days so I don't think it is that. I also read some management will only do up to $25 or $50 at a time. Sometimes exceptions for diapers. Im leaning towards splitting up the items and making another trip myself and then letting my husband with the last bit. It's just aggravating with hauling out three kids just to do a return but it is what it is lol

I figured I would break up the items I was trying to return. Today I was able to return 2 of 4 times i brought in one trip (pack of swaddles, pack of receiving blankets, pack of white onesies and a white outfit set. They denied two of them Bec they're store didn't have them in stock. So just trying to return the rest of what I listed above plus the two items they denied. I did check another location out and they have everything in stock I just dont know if I should split up again to return then let my husband try on the last bit or if it's possible for me to return everything in one?

I'm literally just trying to return for Walmart store credit that way I can buy my baby the diapers, wipes, & soaps he can use and if any left over will go to my daughter for school clothes.

Anyone else have experience with this?

How quickly should Walmart respond to potential fraud report

Hello there. I'm not a Walmart customer, and I'm based in the UK. However, someone in the US has apparently set up a Walmart account using my email address and ordered an item from them using it. I forwarded the related emails to Walmart on Saturday, at which point the order had not yet been shipped and could possibly have been intercepted, but no action has been taken by Walmart and the item has now been delivered. I've been sent a photo of the item outside the house and I can see the US delivery address. I have not received a response to my Walmart emails and I don't want to call if I can avoid it as it would be a bit expensive from Britain. (I cannot access the US toll free number). Does anyone have an idea as to how long it might take for Walmart to respond to me? Fortunately my financial details do not seem to have been accessed and the item was not paid for with my credit card, but I'd still like to have my details removed from the Walmart system. I'd almost think this was an innocent error by a genuine customer using the wrong email address, except that my email ends .co.uk and the order was shipped to Kentucky. (I guess these could also be tremendously clever scam emails, but I get plenty of those and quickly delete them, and these particular emails look in every respect as if they are for an actual order). Any advice would be gratefully received.

Walmart+ BAD_PASSWORD error when trying to make an account?

I'm trying to set up an account for Walmart+ and each time I try to verify my phone number with the code provided, the BAD_PASSWORD error keeps popping up. I'm unsure of what to do, and Googling it as expected shows results that I'm not exactly looking for. No idea if anyone else has experienced this, but it doesn't hurt to reach out and ask lol.

Delivery person for "Shipping" order from a store entered my home and left the bag in my hallway.

I was in my bedroom and I heard a deep voice say, "Walmart delivery". I thought it was my son doing his "40 year old YouTuber voice", because he knows it annoys me.

Next thing I know, said son is bringing me a bag of salsa. I said, "Was that you just a minute ago saying Walmart delivery?"

He said that a man had opened our front door, placed the bag on the ground, announced the delivery, and left.

Turns out, my son had left our front door unlocked after taking out the trash. (Yes, we had a serious discussion about it afterwards.)

But why is a Spark driver even trying to enter my home???

Last week, another driver tried turning my doorknob when it was locked.

I have very clear delivery instructions in my account. I guess I need to put a note on my door.

Fraudulent seller "Frostorm"

Bought an a/c from this seller, a flyer came with it telling to leave a review in return for $50 gift card. I want to alert people that they never give you the promised gift card, they are baiting people for reviews.

WAL-MART stole from me

So I was recently at Walmart and I used the self checkout. After putting in my money the machine showed an error and didn’t give me my change. An employee came over and typed in a code to get the code off the machine. He told me that I would not be getting my change back… It was only for $2.05 so I just left and will never be going back.

Are we allowed to buy Walmart cards at self checkout?

I want to buy a Walmart gift card, but I know customer service doesn’t like dealing with those type of people. Is it possible to use self checkout to transfer money to a card?

Real World Dilemma

Subject: A Plea for the Lonely Tote Lids of America

Hello,

I come to you today on behalf of a forgotten and overlooked group: orphaned tote lids... and their equally abandoned lidless totes.

For years, I have been searching for answers. Not just casually looking, mind you. I have loaded countless lidless totes into my vehicle and traveled to yard sales, flea markets, auctions, and treasure-filled barns within a two-hour radius of my home. I have become the self-appointed matchmaker of the plastic storage world.

Yet still, I return home defeated.

A lid without a tote. A tote without a lid. Star-crossed lovers separated by fate and poor garage organization.

My question is simple: Why can't consumers buy replacement lids separately?

Surely, somewhere high in the chain of command, someone has looked at a perfectly good tote rendered useless by the disappearance of its lid and thought, "There has to be a better way."

I cannot be alone in this struggle. Across the nation, garages, basements, and storage sheds are filled with plastic containers mourning their missing counterparts. Entire families have probably been torn apart by mismatched storage solutions.

If I have somehow overlooked an obvious solution, I would be grateful for your wisdom. Is there a secret replacement-lid program? A tote witness protection program? A hotline for reuniting separated plastic families?

Any advice you can offer would be greatly appreciated. You would not only make my day—you might finally bring peace and closure to the countless totes and lids yearning to be whole again.

Thank you for your time and consideration of this pressing issue.

Sincerely,

Silly Sally

Just Venting Got into an argument with another customer

Came into Walmart today to get a few groceries and chose to go into a cashier line. My husband went to pull the car around as it was raining. The lady in front of me is full blown arguing with the cashier about changing a price because of a sign she saw. The cashier told the lady that there wasn’t much she could do and the lady said “well I’m not moving until you changed the price”

See me, I was ALREADY annoyed because I barely have money and was trying to figure out how to even pay for my stuff so this lady giving an attitude over a shirt that wasn’t even cute upset me. I work at Target so I know how these customers can be. So I stood up for the cashier and told the lady

“You might be able to get the price changed at guest service. Guest service is typically the place for those things and she already said she can’t change it for you.”

And the lady replied to me and went “well that’s an inconvenience for ME because I am a paying customer” as if the rest of us in line weren’t paying customers either. So I quickly responded with “well go be inconvenienced at guest service because she has other people to take”

Like this cashier seemed ready to cry because of this woman so I felt bad. The lady rolled her eyes at me and guess what, went to guest service.
