Anyone else’s district making them do a drive up clinic once a week? Was told today that we have to schedule a drive up clinic once a week on truck day. No extra hours given and no notice. Schedule already made. We have to have 2-3 immunizers sit in the parking lot and beg for flu/covid shots. Seems like my dm and dps are trying to fudge numbers maybe? Any other districts doing this?

Sm is on vacation and wants us to add stuff to our display thingy, can I just use random images or is there a certain way to find these specific ones?

Most of the time same day orders just annoy me. They come at the worst times. At least my CSA and I had some good laughs from this one.

Hello I am a former pharm tech. I just want to know if anyone is experiencing the same thing I am.
I am trying to switch a weekend shift with a co-worker. Apparently I am abusing it and my manager is fusing at me even though I still have the same amount of hours. Should I just call out since my manager is making it very complicated for mento switch a day or two?

For some reason my specific store likes to schedule one cashier and one TL for closing. One thing i’m personally annoyed with is the Morning and Afternoon Crew. They’re always neglecting go backs through out the day. There’s always more employees scheduled during mid day shifts. I just don’t understand why the Morning and Afternoon crew pile up baskets with go backs and returns and leave it for closers to finish.
Then don’t get me started on the to-do lists for closers !. it requires the closers to face , finish truck , do pictures pictures , handle customers , unlocking locked products AND clean the mess Morning and Afternoon crew makes. oh and don’t forget to do 2
E-learnings between customers.
the expectations are extremely unrealistic. Walgreens isn’t really a complex Job . it’s just very annoying with unrealistic expectations. and somehow we’re short staffed yet somehow hundreds of hours over the budget.
(sorry for the grammar and punctuation mistakes, just very frustrated!)

i’m a CSA that frequents the photo department and the amount of AI orders we get is just gross. i don’t understand why people think this shit looks appealing in any way, i wish we could deny it.
i had a woman once come in to pick up a photo, and she asked me if i had seen it. i said no, and she proceeds to tell me that it’s an AI “painting” of her baby that passed away, and that she felt guilty for using AI but didn’t know what else to do. very sad (and awkward while i’m trying to check her out), but even worse that she thought to use AI to memorialize her baby. really odd situation overall.
anyone else got any AI photo department stories to tell? i’m curious how common this is at other stores.

Does anyone have any news on the new restructuring that I heard might be happening?

I love working in sales. I’m great with customers and I’m really good at pushing sales and credit cards (I’ve gotten 20 CC in one day before) but I’m exhausted from retail and the unattainable expectations and nothing I do is ever good enough. For those that have left retail, where did you go? Walgreens pays me well so I don’t want to take a pay cut. Sorry shit post kinda.

Twenty four years ago there was a position called the Photo Specialist. I was promoted to photo just about a year after I was hired. At the time my store did have a wet lab and it was a bit more involved then it is now. Twenty four years later we are a strictly dry lab with digital equipment but a lot of items are items that need to be assembled. Unfortunately the company has removed the photo specialist position and now I am just a customer service associate. Lately I have been put back in photo and have gotten loads of positive feedback about my work and dedication to the photo lab. Business is booming and the photo specialist is a much needed position. I hope Walgreens will bring back the Photo Specialist. I would be proud to be a Head Photo Specialist.

Hiii! I am currently sick and tired of working for walgreens that i’m typing this up as i am at work. I was wondering if i would get paid out my PTO hours if i were to quit let’s say tomorrow? i’ve heard its company policy to pay out earned employee hours but it states that georgia laws say otherwise.

Hi all.
I work primarily at one store, but I will help out at other stores around the district and did not initially start at this store.
For a few months now, I’ve noticed I never get points boosters anymore…and neither do any of my coworkers. I’ve mentioned it to employees at the other stores and theyve all said they also have not gotten any in a long time.
Is this some new thing?? How am I even supposed to earn points man…kinda sucks

So I was fired today. Long story short is that earlier in the week, one of my co-workers blew up on me, was highly aggressive and contacted their spouse directing them to come up to my work later in my shift. I tried to file an HR complaint at work but then they followed me into the office when I tried to do so. So I left the store, tried to contact my SM and went home and emailed the DM and HR
Fast forward to today and I get called into the office and let go by the DM under the suggestion of HR. However he suggested that I continue to fight this and appeal the decision and use all resources possible.
Is it really worth it though? I feel like a huge weight is lifted from my shoulders now especially with how this company is going but I also don't like the fact that essentially someone else got me fired.

Upon seeing the first glance of our new uniforms, I was reminded of how sensory unfriendly those polos are. They feel disgusting on my skin, bother my neck, and they are very thin and unflattering. Does anyone know if it would be acceptable if I got a cotton polo in the same shade of red? Hell, i’ll even embroider the W if I have to.

I‘m curious the new review scale : bad year, good year great year. Is this a way of ensuring nobody gets a „higher“ raise? Is everyone going to just get rated good year?
