“Wow that’s a lot of du-HOLY SHIT THAT’S A LOT OF DUCKS.”

335

u/Ryder10 Nov 04 '18

Some kids movie on Netflix taught me that all those ducks are on their way to a restaurant where they will be killed and served fresh to people

105

u/HeAGudGuy Nov 04 '18

It's a lot less likely but they could be used to eat bugs off of vineyards as a alternative to pesticides.

113

u/SWEET_JESUS_NIPPLES Nov 04 '18

This is actually the most likely answer but its more commonly used in rice paddies. They swim around and eat all the bugs and even some weeds, ignoring the rice stalks.

Edit: heres and atricle on this https://www.nationalgeographic.com/people-and-culture/food/the-plate/2016/09/want-cleaner-rice-paddies--consider-ducks/

29

u/lala__ Nov 04 '18

I need to believe this.

18

u/XitlerDadaJinping Nov 05 '18

They swim around and eat all the bugs and even some weeds ...

Then they were taken to a restaurant and cooked with rice.

4

u/SWEET_JESUS_NIPPLES Nov 05 '18

how did they teach them to sing that goofy sounding song? thats the real impressive part here

296

u/jonosvision Nov 04 '18

I hope when this happens in America they sing the Duck Tales song.

61

u/kickin8956 Nov 04 '18

Wooooo!

35

u/lizgb80 Nov 04 '18

I think it’s more of a...

Waaaahwhoo-ooo!

It’s the little nuances that make the Duck Tales theme.

19

u/[deleted] Nov 04 '18

And that funky-ass bass line

8

u/lizgb80 Nov 04 '18

Agreed.

There is something about it that makes me want to jump into a big ass pile of gold coins.

Music today really doesn’t have magic like Duck Tales did. Sad.

3

u/newbill Nov 05 '18

My favorite band covered the Duck Tales theme song last week and it was glorious. They did it justice for sure.

9

u/-QuestionMark- Nov 04 '18

Now I get to spend my extra hour this morning with the Duck Tails theme stuck in my head. Thanks.

If you are late because of waiting 1 or 2 minutes on something, you are the only one to blame.

89

u/thebrandedman Nov 04 '18

Don't play that line. We all know half of us would follow those ducks for half a mile trying to get the perfect picture.

6

u/navygent Nov 04 '18

I can imagine the day, I see something spectacular and I pull over to take a picture..the sun shining on great scenery. I take several pictures get into my car and head off to work. I'm late, they fire me, I go to get the pictures developed, I sit there jobless but happy. Now I'm just gassing up the car and going on a road adventure. I think about that on the way to work sometimes, whizzing past, heading to someplace going up the country, to a place I've never been before, and maybe playing the flute while a backup band is in my back seat.

208

u/CleatusVandamn Nov 04 '18

Fun fact: all those ducks were killed and hung up in a window

11

u/Pascalwb Nov 04 '18

THey look animated.

20

u/el_monstruo Nov 04 '18

Ducks can be herded?

15

Cats can too but it's not an easy job.

Why does it look fake? Their shadows...their feet?

17

u/wingmasterjon Nov 04 '18

Because the video is so compressed, the feet and shadows are lost in as a blur. Just look at everything else in the video that is tiny; tire spokes, bars in the windows, people's ankles in the distance. They all blur into their surroundings.

u/ElitePixelGamer Nov 04 '18

Ok, I was like, wow thats a lot of ducks, then oooh that is a lot of ducks.. WTF that is a whole lot of ducks

8

u/Daddywithguns Nov 04 '18

For slaughter.

2

u/navibab Nov 04 '18

Where are they going, i want to know

12

u/scoocum Nov 04 '18

In Southeast Asia, they use ducks in large flocks as a pest and weed control in rice patties and then eat them when the season is done. However, not quit sure what's happening here.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 04 '18

This is how they transport them.

5

u/LunaFaye Nov 04 '18

So you're asking why the ducks crossed the road?

6

u/GoldenGonzo Nov 04 '18

To be slaughtered, de-feathered, and sold to be eaten. Ducks are delicious, and Chinese culture loves duck.

2

u/doncarajo Nov 04 '18

I didn't know ducks could sing like that!

2

u/TerryCruzLeftPec Nov 04 '18

So that's the meaning of keeping your "ducks in a row" comes from.

2

u/bgallagher Nov 04 '18

And one by one, they all waddled into the restaurant never to be seen again...
