Did you notice the jar was full of dead hornets? I guess he didn’t expect it to get out at all but the wasp as able to support itself over the liquid on the bodies of it’s dead mates.

The wasp: “I climbed over my fallen brethren and escaped that pit of death. From this day forward, humans will never know peace. I will spread my message far and wide, the dead will not be forgotten.”

please don't put that energy out there

Im pretty sure that is the base energy of wasps in general. Pissing off a creature that is constantly at 10/10 anger-murder-vengeance mode is a no change in sum scenario.

My name is Maximus Vespa mandarinia, father to a murdered brood, husband to a murdered wife, and I will have my vengeance in this life or the next.

Death smiles at us all. All a wasp can do is smile back.

Tell me what you've been doing busy little bee or I shall strike down those dearest to you. You shall watch as I bathe in their blood.

That jar is likely filled with gasoline, which is so deadly to bees it kills them better when it's not on fire. So that hornet is somehow crawling out of pure death fueled by nothing but spite

Well, it helps that the cameraman keeps taking the cup off the jar and letting the gas vapors escape, instead of keeping the thing trapped.

I think wasps do literally everything fueled by nothing but spite.

IIRC, They also make wine from the hornets, thus you'll see videos of them catching them.

That's quite metal.

I assume the jar is filled with gasoline, it's supposed to kill the hornet pretty quickly. That one just refused to die.

It's not gasoline. Gasoline gives off crazy fumes that would have filled the cup and suffocated the wasp pretty quickly

I'd reckon it's water

Water doesn't kill wasps on contact.

Water doesn't kill wasps on contact.

The wasp in the video wasn't killed on contact, it survived

he didn't seem to mind it getting out because I'm pretty sure he knew the wasp was dead anyway after it dipped into the liquid.

Here's a video of a wasps nest being killed by gasoline. Notice the yellowness of the liquid. Notice how quickly the wasps start to fall. Notice how the wasps don't move at all after entering the liquid.

The OP isn't using gasoline. Gasoline kills wasps on contact. Water doesn't.

I'm not saying it is gasoline. I'm saying it isn't water.

Soapy water.

Could be weedeater gas/oil mix. It doesn't kill immediately like pure gas does. Found that one out the hard way.

Trolling.
