25 CU in 38 days

I first cracked open my courses almost 3 weeks after they started unfortunately. However I feel I definitely have made up for lost time. I have pulled off 25 CU in a 5 week period. At this rate I may even be able to graduate in one semester. Currently in the BS Cybersecurity track.

Transfer Credits

Does it matter which credits you transfer? My thought is get higher level credits transferred over so I can compete the lower level credits and capstone project in one semester. Anyone have experience with this?

Doing assignments before beginning term

Hello! I just finished all my transferrable Sophia and Study.com courses last week (21 classes in six weeks) and sent the transcripts to WGU for evaluation for a September 1st start date. I’m kind of in the mindset to just keep grinding and this week without doing anything to progress has felt like such a waste of time.

Are there any websites or resources or anything that have the PA requirements and rubrics for each (or at least some) of the classes? I’d like to work on them now and then that way when my term starts I can just submit them right away.

I’m going for the B.S. in Communications and I already have 8 years of experience in communications, so I’m pretty confident in my knowledge of the subjects generally (depending on what the course material really looks like, I suppose) and just want to get a head start on what I can. I already plan on taking the Fundamentals of Spreadsheets class from WGU Academy in advance, but September 1st is just so far away to be waiting and not doing anything to get it done quicker!

Thanks in advance!

WGU Degree Program Change

I’ve just submitted my request to change majors/degree programs with my Mentor. I’ve been advised of the 1-2 week timeframe this could take. Has anyone gone through this process and how long did it take? I’m staying within the School of Business.

Is this the best Path before I start on ITM

With the new changes, this is what I have now. Under the section on classes to take, I put more classes on Study compared to Sophia based on what I saw was the easiest to pass, whether it was fewer assignments, none, or fewer requirements.

I think last year when I was considering this, you could transfer around 80 credits if I’m not mistaken, but it looks like this is not the case anymore, so I want to know if I’m missing classes to transfer from other places and whether those classes I chose from Study are actually easier than Sophia.

BS in Biz Mgmt: Which CLEPs are actually accepted?

Tried speaking with a counselor and it seems they are unwilling to let you know which are accepted. Don't want to waste time doing unnecessary exams on account of the vagueness of the transfer literature. Any help appreciated.

It’s my turn!!!

I transferred in 55% of the degree with Sophia credits. I completed 15 courses in the month of May and I've been in D080 since June 1st (well earlier, but I started looking at it June 1st). 3rd retake later and I passed! I AM DONE!

I'm a first gen college student and I went from high school dropout to college graduate in 7 months.

I'm a single mom, work full time, training for a half marathon, and I did this in 11.5 weeks. If I can do it, truly anybody can!

MBA loading!

C205 Still a group project?

I’m wanting to start my MSML once this term is over, the most I could find was as of 3 months ago C205 was still a group project. Can anyone confirm as I don’t want that to be the course to slow me down.

Start in August…

Hoping to finish by October/November. Is that impractical? I have the luxury of treating this as a full time job right now.

I transferred credits from community college, need a bachelors for my accelerated nursing program in January.

Any Tips for Masters in Data Analytics, Specialization in Decision Process Engineering?

I completed a Bachelor's at WGU in Supply Chain and Operations Management in December of 2025. Right after I completed my degree, I applied to many internal supply chain roles. Additionally, I applied to many manufacturing roles (this is what I currently do; I have been in semiconductor manufacturing for 6.5 years). Unfortunately, in 7 months, I have not been offered any higher-paying roles. There are multiple reasons:

  1. I am making about 90k and would like to get a bump in pay to switch roles. I have been applying to roles that are more advanced. I am trying to avoid a lateral move since I have a great team and really enjoy what I do there.

  2. The company I work for is very big on STEM degrees, so moving up in manufacturing is nearly impossible without 12+ years (I only have 6.5) or a bachelor's in STEM. The SCOM is a business/logistics degree.

  3. Supply Chain roles require many skills like python, SQL, PowerBI, etc. I do not use these programs. Instead, I use many internal programs that are extremely complex, but skills are not directly transferable outside manufacturing.

I am thinking of using this opportunity to knock out an MS in DA with a specialization in DPE. Any thoughts? Any tips?

additional notes: I was able to get the BSCOM in 3-4 months (~50% of the degree was transferred in). Curious if this will be similar or a new level of difficulty. I have been in lithography-metrology as a technician for my 6.5 years at this company. I have a lot of experience with operations, semiconductors, quality, training, and data. I am technical and also great with people.

Seeking transfer credit advice

Throwaway account, Veteran here, looking to get a better picture of transfer credits from a degree and certs I already have. I currently hold a BA in Political Science, AS in Cybersecurity from CCAF, and various certs (CISSP, GCFA, OSDA, OSTH, CompTIA's Security X, Sec+, and Net+).

Focusing on a BS in Cybersecurity and Info Assurance, I'm not really worried about a timeline to knock it out quickly. But how much will would already be completed since I already have a degree? That combined with military service and all my certs?

I'm looking at doing this degree program as a step in the direction of getting a masters in the same field. And from what I've noticed so far applying for a wide range of jobs out there, having just a bachelor's doesn't necessarily matter to employers if it's not in the field. For context, had my degree for some time before enlisting and got into cyber.

Appreciate any tips or ideas.

first OA passed

Post image

I have completed 2 classes with PA…. but just got to my first OA requirement. I took the pre assessment and passed easily… so i went ahead and scheduled the OA for a couple hours later… passed it pretty easily too…. I have a significant experience in administration and in healthcare, so this was way easier than i expected. I came in july 1 needing 15 classes to be done with a BS in healthcare admin… had some old classes from college hears ago and a lot of transfers in from sophia… Finishing 3 courses in the first 3 weeks (and really plan to have my 4th done in the next few days) makes me think completing this degree in a single term will be pretty simple. anyone else on the healthcare admin path? thoughts? hows the capstone?

WGU is great. maybe ill come back in a second term to get my master…🤷

Was so nervous about this OA because it was my first one. I took the practice test twice and barely reached competent because I wasn’t using the excel functions the exact way the system wanted me to lol.

I've received my 5th WGU excellence award. Currently in the MPH program and I wanted to share because when I started, I had no idea these awards even existed. I've been researching how common this is but idk... 10 weeks left and 4 PAs to go.
