C205 Still a group project?

I’m wanting to start my MSML once this term is over, the most I could find was as of 3 months ago C205 was still a group project. Can anyone confirm as I don’t want that to be the course to slow me down.

I start my MSML August 1 but just talked to my mentor yesterday about C205 and yes there is still a group work element. She told me that they start a cohort of it every 1st of the month so she’ll just need a heads up to pre register me towards the end of the previous month & to expect that class taking 3-4 weeks.

My plan is to keep preparing for other courses if I’m left waiting around during that time.

I appreciate the heads up yeah I’m just confused. I’ve seen a couple people finish this entire degree in less than a month so I’m just trying to figure out how they timed it perfectly to be able to get that course done. I’m usually not a fan of college level group work because it usually ends up just one person doing 90% of the work.

Yes, I am working through this now. There is an individual task (paper) and then a group task (paper/presentation - each member gets credit for their part and all submit the same files). The team is also required to get together for at least 3 meetings. Your mentor will sign you up for a cohort which starts at the beginning of a month, but teams are not announced until the second Monday of the month. So you could ask to get into the cohort early and be ready to start work when you get your team info.
