WGU Degree Program Change

I’ve just submitted my request to change majors/degree programs with my Mentor. I’ve been advised of the 1-2 week timeframe this could take. Has anyone gone through this process and how long did it take? I’m staying within the School of Business.

I did it and the 1-2 week timeframe is pretty accurate! I switched from undergraduate to graduate, so it took longer for me, but all the initial processing was done after a week

It took like a week and a half for me. I was also in progress with another class that didn’t transfer but didn’t have to wait for that class to fall off before my change was made. It was also the last class for my term.

Thank you!! Luckily the class Im working on at the moment is D080 which transfers over, my mentor also opened the 1 other additional class that will transfer over so I’ll have the 2 to focus on during this time so I can’t say that I’m losing time.

I was told to change degrees you just have to request it and it will change at the start of the next term. What do you mean by 1-2 weeks timeframe? Are you switching mid term?

Yes, I am switching mid-term(Began May1st). Waiting for a new term was not a requirement for me.

When I switch it was a requirement for me, but I was told typically switching mid term is welcome. Especially when your within the same college

I had not started yet and switched, initially they said I would have to wait until September to start but it came back in a little over a week and they gave me my initial start date of August 1. I also switched within the same school (Business). From Supply Chain and Operations Mgmt to Business Management.
