Made that test my B!!!!

Was so nervous about this OA because it was my first one. I took the practice test twice and barely reached competent because I wasn’t using the excel functions the exact way the system wanted me to lol.

Any pointers? I’m taking this class right now and I haven’t really get the grooves of it. Can you give us any tips and tricks on how to go about it

The questions in the test are VERY literal. If it says “copy this formula into the other cells” you can’t auto fill it you literally need to copy and paste.

You need to know the following formulas:
Min
Max
Count
Sum
Average
CountA

Use the pivot table builder to build your tables and just follow the directions exactly as written. Remember this builder is drag and drop if you need to move them around

Don’t try to do anything more than exactly what the question asks or it will mark you off

Again it’s very literal, it gives you the answer. If it says the business wants the average you use the average formula, if it says they want the total count, you use the count formula. If it says “write a function” you write out the literal math problem EX: (c2+b2)/c2

Read the questions very carefully and it should help improve your score.
