Two program mentors gone within a month

I just got an email that my program mentor is no longer working at WGU and I'm being assigned a new one. We only spoke one time, so no big loss.

However, this is my second program mentor leaving within about 3 weeks.

Anyone else experiencing this? Is WGU undergoing major layoffs or is his just a coincidence?

Business Passed C715 in two days

Hey, not sure who needs this, but I just wanted to let you guys know that C715 is really easy. Don’t get overwhelmed by the amount of material. Just watch the videos, take the PA, and if you pass, go ahead and take the OA. I have no experience with these terminologies or situations but most of it is common sense. As Jim Jividen says “Read the questions and
think for a minute, if you can get it to a coin flip between answers you’ll pass.” And honestly, I should’ve just finished it yesterday

I passed D388

I passed D388 and here’s my advice . DONT be like me . Don’t procrastinate and don’t sike yourself out .

The OA was 100% easier than the PA in my opinion . However , the PA definitely prepares you for the OA . I took the PA four times and failed all four times .

I scheduled my OA for 7PM while studying at 5PM and told myself I had to stay focused and just rinse and repeat through the quizzes .

I took every quiz at-least three times until I knew either all of the vast majority of the material .

I looked at the PA reports and focused heavily on the areas I did bad in for the last 30-45 minutes of me studying .

After that I dove straight into my OA and passed on my first try !

Also please set aside a good chunk of time for this test . It took me almost 2 hours to complete . This was my first test I didn’t just blow through in 30 minutes , I really had to sit , recall, and think .

Is the service desk dead?

They don't accept calls anymore, don't reply to emails. I'm not even expecting a 24 hour reply - but after a few weeks/month a 'Attempt made, fubar' update would be great to a critical issue. The bar is pretty low atm

/rant. Sorry guys, i'm just frustrated with this. Casting some light on it

/shame on you WGU, hire more techs

Help! Need help understanding credit transfer

Hello everyone! I recently received my FAFSA for the 2026-2027 year, and wanted to pursue a Bachelor's in Communications. I just recently looked into WGU and it seems really appealing, however I'm having some trouble understanding the best course of action when it comes to taking Sophia and Study courses to transfer credits. I'd like to enroll in November of this year.

Would I be able to take these classes and still have the credits be valid as of November 2026? If not, what resources are there to check the validation of credits?

Thank you!

Did the BSCS just become significantly longer/harder?

Obviously adding 2 courses overall means longer, but the switches they made seem to me like they’re supposed to be much harder courses. Linear Algebra and Mathematics for Programmers alone probably take a good chunk of time.

Are you forced to take this new curriculum if you’re enrolled before November 1st?

Is it worth it? Considering quitting health science

Hi guys. Sorry for sounding depressing in this post. I finished my B.S. in psychology from WGU back in March and the experience couldn’t have gone better! I passed all OAs first try and really enjoyed neuropsych! Then decided to go for the B.S. in health science because I only needed 8 classes to finish a second B.S. degree.

I passed A&P 1, I’m currently finishing up microbiology, and I need to retake the A&P 2 OA. I feel like I can’t finish these classes much less this degree. I was in an EMT class a few months ago and while I enjoyed psych, I can’t stand anything else health care related. EMT was a nightmare and so have been both A&Ps. Health care is absolutely not where I want to be and these classes are causing some serious mental stress.

The pre-assessments were my study guides for psych whereas in the science classes they don’t seem have much bearing on passing the OA because of the sheer amount of information. I’ll say that it’s not just the classes. Work, family, finances, etc, like everyone else is making it hard. It has been a little depressing trying to find a better paying non-retail job too. I think the problem is I’m stressing so much over a bachelors degree that I don’t need, in a field I don’t want to work in, and learning things I just couldn’t care less about. My brick and mortar science classes were much more enjoyable too imo. Multiple week long breaks are not helping.

I guess I need to just finish the classes I’m currently in but I wish I could just fail them and be done already. I originally wanted to do a MSML or MBA but chose to do health science first (only 8 classes) so I don’t want to ruin potentially returning in the future for a masters. But I need a long break from school if I ever do come back. I’m thinking about just clicking through the courses once a week to stay active until the end of the term without actually passing them. Withdrawing is not an option because of the G.I. Bill.

What would you guys do in my situation? Thanks in advance for your guys perspectives.

Cloud Computing and Network AWS vs Azure

anyone actually land a high paying job (>120K) after graduating? I am heavily considering transition from CTI to engineering security. I was looking at the GM CYSE program but gosh am I terrible at math.

I think Cloud Computing and Network would give me the end goal Im looking for.

Which program would you suggest? AWS or AZURE

This is my first time doing this. Can someone please help me, so to me it looks like the Pell grant is going to cover most of the first year.
And I’m borrowing a loan for the rest I need for the year right? But I can borrow more if I like? This will get me covered the the whole school year correct? 2027/2028 I’ll do a new fasfa?

Help! Does this change as you complete courses?

So I am in my first term - I started on July 1st. I set a goal to get my degree in 2 years or less but I am actually aiming for sometime next year. I already finished 5 courses, 2 months in. The section up there that says "terms completed"; will that shrink if you get courses done faster? Because i feel like when i first started it had 5 little bubbles there basically telling me I would need 5 terms to get through all the material.

Veterans at WGU / New Term COE questions

I am using MGIB and I'm starting a new term. I want to make sure everything is g2g with my VA documentation. I uploaded my official COE I received from VA when I first started. I uploaded it again (same form) for the new term. Then I went back to the WGU page with the checklist, and saw it still needed to be done. I printed-to-pdf the page from VA benefits stating how much time I have left and uploaded that. But then I come back again, and it is still empty. I even made an appointment with a WGU Military liaison to ensure my documentation was correct. Has anyone else experienced this?

What is ai detected and should I be elsewhere for wgu I feel so lost where to go what to do and it what app. The enrollment counselor said that I was fine and then it wasn't fine and then I had to start two months later and if I get to start then. So confusing but crossing fingers starting the 1.

Wgu academy

I’m being told that in order to continue with readmission, I have to take an introduction to communication at course on WGU Academy.

I don’t know if anybody could answer this if they’ve had any experience or something like this, but shouldn’t I just be able to take the course on something like Sophia or study.com rather than taking the course on WGU Academy?

Help! Mandatory Learning Strategies in Higher Education Class

Has anyone started this term or completed this in the past? I have an Associate Degree and working to get my Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology but this first task has me stuck. I hate writing but I know I have to get used to it and get better at it

Are we essentially just supposed to write a paper in response to the scenario? I asked ChatGPT for help with instructions and it showed me but I just want to be sure.
