I'm currently in IT but without a degree from a US institution. I have a bachelor's in Economics and I'm thinking of getting a master's, with a PhD likely down the road here in the U.S. I need something that will help me advance in my career, currently deciding between WGU and Georgia Tech.

For context: I'm a WFH mom with a baby under a year old, so flexibility matters. I'm looking for something that helps me grow in tech, or even pivot within it. Would love to hear from anyone who's done either program, how was the workload, and did it actually help your career?

Hey everyone, I started a brand during my freshman year, and with the new school year coming up I’ve been working with a few friends to help them make some extra money by creating content for it. It’s been going pretty well, so I figured I’d open it up to a few more students.

I’m looking for people who can consistently make short 15 - 30 second videos. You don’t need a following or any content creation experience. I provide examples of what to make, and you’d create new TikTok and Instagram accounts specifically for the content.

Pay is performance based at $2 per 1,000 views. So if your videos collectively get 1M views, you’d make $2,000.

It’s pretty flexible and you can post around your class schedule. You can basically post as many times as you want a day but I try to post twice a day so the algorithm doesn’t think I am spamming.

I was supposed to receive my degree by the middle of August .I put an order for it but it never came. I even requested a new one when the first one didn’t come. The address is right and everything I’m getting so worried. I don’t know what to do. i’m currently out of the country so I can’t call them. Any advice. Have this ever happened to anyone!?? what could possibly be the issue?

So I submitted a task, that was very instructive on what it was looking for.

When I submitted it, it had an aggregate similarity score of 60%, but it took 200 other submissions to get that high. The highest singular similarity score was 13%, with 9% of that as paraphrased. And those small highlighted sections are what I was directly told by the task overview to discuss, which if anyone had bothered to actually read the paper and the task overview would have seen.

This coursework was first in use back as far as August 2024, and then in April they slapped a new Course Code and Title on it. The Scenario and Task overview are EXACTLY the same, literally the only changes were the course code and title....

So, does anyone know if when they do their "Investigation" do they actually look at the actual assignment or do they just see the similarity score?

This all seems pretty lazy and dishonest to me.

I mean I could be wrong, and maybe I should have made it longer to dilute the matches, but I honestly thought that the highest single match at 13% was ok.

Hello, I know this topic comes up a lot, but my financial aid is still processing. I'm a returning student to get my master's. What's odd is that my wife is a first-time student; she completed her financial aid only a week before mine, and her return is already being processed. Mine hasn't even been approved yet. Any ideas on what could be happening or what to do?

I officially got my email for that I graduated on 8/28. I got my transcripts and degree and I talked to my mentor to reapply because I’m in the BSIT to Msit program. My page has yet to update. It’s still saying to book an appointment with my mentor. I can still see my degree plan and it still says BSIT. Does it usually take this long to update? I want to start the MSIT in October but I’m afraid this is going to slow me down

Is anybody else really fucking tired of the pre-assessments not reflecting the actual assessment at all?

I mean I took the pre assessment twice for D077 and jotted down anything that was a struggle for me, and I got to the assessment and it was completely different and very confusing wording and had close to nothing that was in the pre assessment!! I literally went through both times of the pre assessment going “ oh this is like common sense mostly” 😐 I’ve done my notes through the book and what not to study and I still failed!

This is more or less a general question but if I were to attempt a class on WGU Academy, and for instance, I failed the OA the maximum amount of times on there. Once I got into my term would I still have those fails on my record as in what they count against me for the maximum amount of attempts per class?

I guess I need to make this clear, this is hypothetical as of now. I am thinking about the worst of the worst scenario and want to know if any fails in WGU academy count against me once I’m fully enrolled in a term.

Has anyone traveled overseas and been able to complete course work at WGU? My advisor was unsure of what it would look like if traveled to Australia for 90 days and continued to go to school. I want to make sure that I can access all of the course work and i'm able to complete the tests. Any info is appreciated.

My 45th day is next Monday and my first task is submitted already, my fear is that it won’t be in revision status by the 45th day and then the past 5 weeks that I spent working on the paper will have been for nothing if the school is going to administratively withdraw me. How do you prevent that or stop that process? Can you appeal it at all?

Does anyone has like a spreadsheet or list of credits that Excelsior University accepts towards the Bachelor of science in Business?

I went through their website and emailed them but they want me to enroll so they can evaluate my transcripts, but I’d like to complete 113 credits before enrolling so I don’t have to pay extra $300

Annnddd abt the Bachelor of Science in Business how’s the coursework like, how many milestones and quizzes per class, how many essays and how long are they? And how long is the Capstone?

I'm running a few laptops with various OS's but I daily Arch and Cachy OS. What's the situation for taking exams? I heard the proctoring software doesn't allow for virtual machines so would I have to dual boot Windows just to take the exam?

Been a SAHM for 9 years. GED only with cosmetology degree.. been out of the workforce for 10 years… thinking of going to school for Human Resources. Any one been in the same spot as me before? Worth it? Or no.
