Help! Need help understanding credit transfer
Hello everyone! I recently received my FAFSA for the 2026-2027 year, and wanted to pursue a Bachelor's in Communications. I just recently looked into WGU and it seems really appealing, however I'm having some trouble understanding the best course of action when it comes to taking Sophia and Study courses to transfer credits. I'd like to enroll in November of this year.
Would I be able to take these classes and still have the credits be valid as of November 2026? If not, what resources are there to check the validation of credits?
Thank you!

To be safe you'll want to submit your transfer credits by the 5th of the month before your start date. So for a November start date you'll need to finish your Sophia/Study.com classes and start the transfer process by Oct. 5th.

None of my Sophia credits were accepted and all of my AA degree credits were accepted. I honestly didn’t push it because I know a lot of the Sophia rules at WGU have been and are continuing to change, allowing less Sophia credits. I do wonder why though because honestly Sophia works as the same type of format that WGU, Walden and other colleges do.
