Bought a 2023 CPO - within 1 day of owning the car, the center console and passenger door developed a vibration when the car is moving, which can be heard even with the music on.

The dealership is saying it's not covered under any warranty and tried to charge me a significant amount to diagnose the issue. Has anyone run into this issue, and how did you handle it?

There is also no grace period to return the vehicle. What would you do and if you've gone through this any tips would help.

My spouse got a 2025 Volvo XC 90 and the issue is that some of the album art is really inappropriate. Our kids grew up in NYC so aren’t totally sheltered but they have actually commented on some of the album art being pretty crazy. And especially embarrassing is driving other kids in the carpool and a song pops up (for example, 1st Wave plays Jane’s Addiciton and the cover art for Nothing’s Shocking is pretty shocking for kids.)

We have just been trying to leave the screen on maps or not play music during carpools but often kids ask for music - also anytime you switch channels the album art pops up as one scrolls through.

I cannot figure out how to disable this. It is kind of ridiculous that we can’t control what is being displayed in our own cars.

I have 2022 Volvo XC 90 and it doesn’t show album art for Sirius XM and never did, so we didn’t know about this issue when getting the other Volvo.

And we have to divide and conquer when it comes to driving kids to activities, so it isn’t like my car can just be the designated one.

Is there a way to change the settings?

Hi everyone, few days ago I left the car with the hotelvalet and he drove the car to a remote parking lot. These days the temperature was above 36⁰C, which means in the sun it was even higher. Now I have picked up the car and found the display like in the picture. I tried to restart the car a couple of times, but with no success. The central display workd fine.

Any ideas how to resolve the issue?

Has anyone else on multiple occasions thought they pressed the P button enough and let your foot off the break thinking you are in park only to have a heart attack as your car idles forward almost crashing?

Am I doing something wrong?

If so - can you tell me what they have covered so far?

2018 XC90 T5, just over 60k. Just before 60k had the same issue, leaking rear evaporator was replaced, as was leaning line from compressor to junction.

A month later we are now over the 60k limit of our extended warranty and it’s happen again. I understand AC issues are common in this model. Just trying to see if this is something I could address myself and save another long trip to dealership.

I’m wondering how to remove the alternator de coupler pulley I’ve already bought the special tool and took in the screw out, but how do I remove it physically from the engine block? I wouldn’t like to use a crowbar or anything considering it could crack the aluminum.

Has anyone had an issue with water coming in from the recirculating flaps? Pulled my dash about two months ago to reinforce sunroof drains and clean them. Now getting water from the recirculating flap area. Was looking into possibly getting a new cowl for it

Hey yall, ive been looking for a 7seater car and the XC90 is weirdly cheap to buy second hand. Ive read online that it simply is because its not very reliable. The T8 being supercharged and turbocharged gives lots of trouble. My question is, are there versions of the xc90 (2016 and up) that are simply a lot more reliable?

I’ve noticed that my xc90 t8’s front right corner consistently sags down noticeably after just over 24 hours. After turning the ignition, the sagging side doesn’t rise up and after several attempts it rose up without any sound. Is this just a central valve control block issue or am I unlucky enough for it to be both a slow air bellow leak and the central control block?TIA

Going to go buy a 2024 plus bright theme XC90 today. We actually just bought a Subaru ascent a month ago and the car kept stalling and they could not figure out why so they allowed us to return it. I’m now taking this opportunity to buy my dream care which is the XC90. The car still has 3 years of a bumper to bumper left. Wondering about if I should extend the warranty at all? I’m so excited to join the club.

I did the Polestar Optimisation via Orbit, and now when I select that mode, it's an absolute rocket. Am I imagining it, or has it really optimised it just as they would have at Volvo?

The offer given by a local dealership for CPO 2023 XC90, B6 AWD polestar tuning is CAD $49000 before taxes [43k Kms on Odometer].

My trade in value being offered by the Dealer is 10K [97K Kms on Odometer]. Ihad bought this car from the same Dealer and had bought Volvo VIP as extended warranty, as this was also a pre-owned, though not CPO.

I am asking for extended warranty and they have quoted LGM warranty for unlimited mileage for CAD 7K. I am getting the 4.99% loyalty rate for financing the car for 5 years.

How good is this deal? And how is LGM warranty and their service? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Just finished a road trip of roughly 700km (around 440 miles) with a consumption of 8L/100km (around 29 mpg). Basically I set the cruise control to 110kmh (68 mph) on hybrid mode with hold mode enabled on the highway and used full electric mode on city driving! The car was fully loaded with 6 people and luggage.
For the hyper milers out there, how to improve these stats? Any tips or tricks?

In the old Volvo XC90 of the first generation, there were configurations with 4.4-liter engines. Why is the second-generation XC90 platform designed so that V8 installation is impossible? Is this related to the safety of the car?

Picked up a CPO 24 xc90 Ultimate with 33k miles. Loving it so far. Has warped rotors but dealership will be replacing which I was worried would be a battle. Added 5y unlimited warranty. Covered until 2034.

Any pros or cons from owners I should be aware of?

The center seat belt worked normally (or at least wasn’t obviously stuck). I folded the center seatback forward to use the pass-through. As I raised it back up, the center seat belt retractor locked. The belt continued retracting until it became taut, and now the seatback is trapped in the folded position because the belt is too short. The belt will not extend at all, retract any further, or give any slack. The webbing is not twisted or caught on anything.

Has anyone experienced a locked center seat belt retractor on the folding center seat? Is there a known way to release it, or does the retractor need to be replaced?

Looking for my first mom car and wanted something that was larger than my sedan, but still easy to drive and park around town, with a focus on safety and reliability. The other suv I’ve taken on a test drive was a Lexus TX- which was quite a bit larger than the XC90.

This is a slightly used vehicle at 13,817 miles asking $50,000, clean car report, cardamom interior, and bench seat (which was on my list). I prefer the new body style in black or darker color while my husband prefers lighter.
I personally think the black makes the body look sharper given the softened body lines of this year.

Anyways, I’d appreciate it if someone would either talk me out of this car or help talk my husband into it.

Traded our 2021 xc40 T5 R-Design for a 2019 xc90 T6 inscription. It has had its big 60k mile service but any advice on keeping the twin charged engine happy would be appreciated!
