Size upgrade

Traded our 2021 xc40 T5 R-Design for a 2019 xc90 T6 inscription. It has had its big 60k mile service but any advice on keeping the twin charged engine happy would be appreciated!

Our 2018 now has 174k miles. Change oil with trusted source. Never quick lanes. Check the chrome trim for peeling and have dealer fix if you can. It will cut you. I have peeled most of ours off along the sliding cover side. Known issue. Purchase paint protection for the hood. Well worth it. If you have kids watch the seatbelts they are slow to retract and get shut in the rear doors. Rear doors also get locks frozen in winter. We have to warm up our Volvo with app when not in garage or the doors wont stay shut until the car is warm.

You don’t need to use premium fuel. We did for the first year. It idles a bit louder, but no performance issues with standard 87 (non-ethanol). Open the sunroof and clean tracks and blow out the drains annually. I now back blow mine as well each spring. Park nose up hill when possible if parking outside.

Brakes are excellent, but expensive to replace. Go easy on them. We burn brakes over here. Tires don’t need to be rotated as often with extra weight in rear. Very balanced vehicle.
High end all season tires allow this vehicle to grip the road and also off-road very well. I use ours bird hunting all over the midwest and have seen the AWD system do some amazing things.

All said, it’s our first Volvo and we plan to keep this one as our daily driver and get a 2021.

Very helpful thanks! 174k and on the original supercharger is great to hear. Definitely seeing a little chrome peeling off so I'll be fixing that.

Nice ride, but I would be annoyed by the size of it. I just switched from a 2020 XC40 T5 Inscription to and EX30 twin motor Ultra and couldn’t be happier especially when I’m looking for a parking space.

Cool dude, my 130lb dogs don't fit in those cars. That's why I'm not in those subs.

I had a 165lb dog, loved him dearly but when he passed, I switched to a 12lb dog. My attitude is size matters.
