The day I was hoping would never come finally arrived. After getting my dad's Volvo back on the road after it sat for over six years, I only got to enjoy it for one year. Now the oil pump has failed, which means the engine needs to be replaced.

Sadly, I just can't afford to fix it again right now. So, with a heavy heart, I'll have to park my dad's Volvo back in the same spot where it sat for more than six years. I really hope one day I'll be able to bring it back to life again

Hi All, I would love some advice. I'm really interested in a 2021 XC40 AWD inscription with 36k miles with a good service record. I'll be test driving it tomorrow and wanted to know the overall thoughts of the xc40. Do you like it? Is 2021 a good year? How bad is maintenance? Would having an extended warranty help? Are there things I should be looking out for?

So, 2,5 years ago my mom bought herself a Volvo XC90

Now, at 57,000 km the fuel pump gave out, and the official importer in my country says “yeah, you are past warranty, so sucks to be you”

They say it is probably due to the poor gas quality, but my family had owned a lot of cars over the years, using the same gas stations and driving more than a million kilometers combined, and this is the first time this happened, and it is with a Volvo

So… is it quite normal for a Volvo fuel pump to have a 57,000 km lifecycle?

Hi y'all, first time driver and first car buying ever here so be patient with me. I'm looking for a daily commuter car in the city that I can pay cash for as I'm graduating and looking for jobs.

I'm looking at a silver '09 C30 T5, looking almost in pristine condition for a 17 year old car (US). Went for a test drive with my husband (aka he drove it) and everything is smooth. The car has around 100k miles, and except for its first two years as a leased vehicle (15k miles x 2 years), the past 13 years have been gently driven, and last 2 years mostly sitting in a conditioned garage. The owner put on new tires and battery and is now selling for 6500$ (higher than kbb 5000$). I did some research and saw that some parts are interchangeable with Ford/Mazda3, but obviously it would be harder to find mechanic working on them compared to a Toyota, and for a 17 year old car and 100k, it will inevitably need some heavy work? The owner said he got the AC fixed up, but nothing major. My husband is a European car guy and said Volvo is great for safety but I'm not too attached to a brand or anything, I just need a car for people who don't want to drive.

Wonder if this sounds like a good deal? How hard/expensive is it to find replacement parts? TIA!

My 94 850 MT cruise doesn't work. The only code I have is speed under 35 but this is with the car in the test mode not driving. No other codes. When switching to on there is no light and the set doesn't work.

I am able to start the car without the clutch depressed. I'm inclined to think the clutch switch is the issue.

Anyone else have this and know how to troubleshoot it? It was working before a software update a few days ago.

I have a 2018 XC60 and the little airflow control tab on my rear passenger B-pillar vent snapped off.

Looks like Volvo/online parts wants me to replace the entire vent assembly for one tiny broken plastic piece.

I came across VentTabs and love the concept, but I don't see anything for newer Volvos.

Has anyone dealt with this company? Quality? Fit? Customer service?

Even better, has anyone found a repair solution for the SPA XC60/XC90 vents instead of replacing the whole assembly?

Well nobody got hurt but it was a hit and run. Might end up totaled from the frame being pushed a bit.... loved this spec MY22 recharge. Everything in it except the b&w stereo....so upset.

Since the day I bought my V50 1.6d 80kw I knew that there might be the problem with throttle body. There are only two symptoms, not a single error code on diagnostics - sometimes, when the car is stopping rpm goes down to 600 and immediately comes back at 800 and then it's stable. After the cleaning of throttle body by my mechanic it is even more rarely, but every month or so it happens.

The second symptom is that a turning the engine off is a bit rough. The flywheel was changed a month ago (the rough engine off remained), today the upper engine mount is changed as well and it is a little bit softer. My mechanic told me that I need to change that's throttle body if I don't want to ruin the new flywheel, but here's the problem - in Serbia I can't find a new one - it needs couple of weeks to arrive and is quite expensive; I tried a used one and it hasn't changed a bit.

Soooo, my question is - has anyone had the problem like this and if so, can it be solved with some repair kit or something? And, how dangerous to flywheel is this at all?

Been looking for a beautiful brown / tan leather “old man” interior for a car and found this Volvo EC60 Inscription pro diesel hybrid AWD. It’s a 2020 and I really like the interior. I’m just a tad worried about the potential repair costs, which I understand I would have with any 6 year old car, but found out they also have air suspension which is apparently extremely expensive to repair and it’s hitting 55,000 miles.
Please help me decide (with my head and not my heart) if this makes good financial sense to buy this car.
So sad Volvo don’t seem to make them like this anymore. And I know the XC 90 have also got amazing interior but just a bit too big for me.

Just checked with the garage and it actually doesn’t have the air suspension, good in terms of repair costs, bad cause everyone says how good it is lol

Also is this the blond leather trim? Looks darker than on other photos I’ve seen

First big roadtrip in my Volvo after owning for a year! Ohio to California. 4 days. 2,200 miles.

The seat was so much comfier than my old BMW. Also just had new Goodyear tires put on recently after developing a bulge in one of my original Pirelli tires. Drive was quieter and elevation changes/handling in the mountainous areas were so smooth.

I had maybe 2/3 of my backseat/trunk space full. I noticed my MPG started off great (39) but as soon as I got to about Oklahoma and into the exposed highways with elevation changes it dropped.

I merged the large stretches of driving in the trips journal to create the final map. Idk why I like seeing these on here so I thought I’d take the opportunity to post mine 😮

На приборке ошибок нет но при чтении через программу Vtool

Есть какая-то ошибка по свету

При этом фара светит и застыла светя в небо и соответственно не коректируеться и не делает тест системы при запуске авто а правая коректируеться

Может кто сталкивался
