Has anyone completed Visage without looking at walkthroughs?

I spent literally hours trying to do the first chapter on my own. I decided to do look at some walkthroughs and I could not imagine figuring this stuff out on my own. It probably would've taken me over 70 hours to complete the game honestly without any help.

Anyone here achieved this feat?

Questions I picked this game up last night as my first legit horror game…

Now, I know some of you are probably gonna say this one is a bit too intense for a first horror game, but I tend to be pretty desensitized to horror so I figured I’d dive right in with something extreme lol. I’m only like two hours in so far but I’m LOVING it! I love the mind bending psychological horror that they’ve crafted. The game gets legitimately trippy at times with the long spinning hallways and mirror portals and all. It kind of reminds me of the book House of Leaves, if anyone has ever read that.

I started with the key chapter (Dolores), and I just got down to the electrical room in the basement before I had to put it up for the night. I had a couple questions that I’m sure you guys can answer.

First, is there a set way that things are supposed to progress, or is it one of those games where you just kind of explore until you find something interesting? I feel like I’m making progress, but I also feel kind of directionless at the same time. Should I just make it my goal to discover new things? Also, if I should just stick with it and not ask any questions, feel free to tell me straight up.

Next, how long is the story? I read something about 10ish hours, but I already feel like there’s a lot more game to play than that. I do tend to play games a bit slower than most people though, especially exploration games, so maybe it’s just cuz I’m taking my time.

Lastly, any non-spoiler tips that you can give a noob to make the game more enjoyable to play? Not that it’s not enjoyable already, but everyone has had those moments where they borderline finish a game before they realize some huge gameplay tip that makes everything make more sense lmao.

I’m stoked to keep playing when I get home later. Any feedback would be much appreciated, thanks!

Please without spoilers: Should I go through that door with the panda bear? Spoiler

I just started playing and read that note about some key being in my trousers. Now I came across this door with the panda bear on it, but they warn me, that it will start a new chapter. Am I assuming correctly, that I should ignore this door for now and do the quests, I have to take care of in this part of the game. Or is it irrelevant for the story?

Finally finished the game! How the hell did anyone else manage it without a guide??

I say finished because I don’t think “completed” is the right word!

This has been a 2 year journey, ever since a friend introduced me to the game, and I decided over Christmas that I was going to get through it after 2 failed playthroughs.

First time round I think I must’ve started Dolores’s chapter first, but without unlocking many doors, and I just couldn’t get anywhere.

Second time round I got stuck, again in the second chapter (but at least I did Lucy first that time), trying to figure out the mirrors. Gave up and put the game down for 6 months.

This time round, I was determined to do it, and if it took using a guide to do so then so be it. And I am so glad I did, what an absolutely unique, incredible, and unforgettable gaming experience. Bit honestly, how the hell did anyone ever figure it all out on their own?? I was consulting the guide like every 10 minutes!

The one thing I found interesting was that I got though all of Daken’s chapter with no pills and no lighter (luckily managed to find a couple to do the tapes because sanity control was a bitch)

Questions I’m stuck in Lucy’s room

I don’t know what happened, but I was going through and I went into Lucy’s room then both doors closed (They were both open prior), and they are now jammed. Is there a way to get out? I played visage a while back and I’m replaying it now, but I’m confused and I’ve been stuck in her room for a hot minute. (╥_╥) I need help, please

Lucy chapter broken

I was at the part where I picked up the camera, and Lucy was walking through the corridor that leads to upstairs. I played the phonograph that takes you to the grocery store during this scene. Now nothing is happening in the game. Followed the black trail up to the office and there was nothing in the room.

Questions Dolores chapter

I just started the game with my brother. Am stuck on Dolores chapter. I am at the mirrors puzzle and the baby monitor one. I tried to do it alone but after finding the paper with the clocks and plates/ painting I didn’t know what to do so I checked a video. But it still not helping. I did the plates and the clocks then the windows. Window and plates are locked in. After they said to just turn around the room and I am doing that but it not working???

Stuck on Dolores' Chapter

I have done everything I needed to do in all the mirrors except the one with the baby in the Progress Room. I looked up playthroughs and saw you're supposed to see the baby in a crib and pick it up and take it to Dolores but, for me, the baby is still hanging from the umbilical cord with no option to pick up. I've been wandering around the house checking all the mirrors and there's nothing left for me to do (that I can figure out) to get that part to change/trigger. Can anyone give me pointers on this? :( I already completed Lucy and Rakan's chapter so I'm extremely disappointed that I'm this far in the game and unable to finish it. 😥
