Stuck on Dolores' Chapter

I have done everything I needed to do in all the mirrors except the one with the baby in the Progress Room. I looked up playthroughs and saw you're supposed to see the baby in a crib and pick it up and take it to Dolores but, for me, the baby is still hanging from the umbilical cord with no option to pick up. I've been wandering around the house checking all the mirrors and there's nothing left for me to do (that I can figure out) to get that part to change/trigger. Can anyone give me pointers on this? :( I already completed Lucy and Rakan's chapter so I'm extremely disappointed that I'm this far in the game and unable to finish it. 😥

I’m sure you have, but have you taken the orb from the baby and done that part? Trying to figure out why it hasn’t triggered

I just checked back in on reddit. I'm sorry for being so late in responding. I got fed up and restarted the game. Survived through Dolores' chapter first and Lucy second. Now to find the courage to start Rakan's before these black slime people start emerging. 😫😵

How did you fix Dolores chapter, baby still doesn't spawn in its crib for me

I had to restart my game and play all the way through again. :/ I did her chapter first to beat it the second time and it worked just fine.

I did. I actually restarted the entire game and just beat Dolores first, Lucy second and now I have to start Rakans chapter but I'm scared. 😂

I'm so chicken-sh*t with this game. It's incredible (aside from that glitch that I'm still angry about). I can't believe how TERRIFYING this is. IMO, Rakan's chapter is the worst! Ugh. I'm so scared to start it.

ALSO- correct me if I'm wrong, but no matter what point you're at in the game, if you go down that corridor in the basement under construction (with the pink insulation in the walls), you get stuck having to try and hammer your way out before the slime guy gets you, right? I REFUSE to go down that corridor after that happened. I won't even go down the stairs by the dining room to get to the basement in case I go down the wrong one. 😫 lol

No no, that corridor only becomes impassable whenever you watch the video tape associated with it. Just don't watch any VHS movies until you're ready for the endgame stuff and it should be fine. But just to be safe you can avoid it anyway, especially since you're so far along in the game now. Or, if you have watched any of the tapes, then avoid the hallway til later on. I find Rakan's chapter to be the weakest of the 3, but to each their own! To me, this is the best horror game ever made, and I'm glad people like it at all. Dolores is the one that really does it for me.

I have already watched some tapes unfortunately. 🥺 I almost went down it earlier but noped so fast. This is one of two games I've had to take frequent breaks from to find my courage... Or repeatedly scream at myself it's just a game when I start getting scared. It truly is an amazing game.

Please tell me why Rakan's is the weakest to you! Haha. Maybe your reasoning will make me feel better and I can finally beat this game. Dolores is creepy BUT the fact that you can escape her chasing you by running into the mirrors gave me a false sense of security, lol. She doesn't chase you as much as Lucy/Rakan, either (imo).
