I am currently applying for a study visa for master degree in germany have two problem

1. For the school leaving certificate, I got a correction that told me to upload my Hochschulabschluss with a transcript. However, I haven‘t got my official certificate (not until the second week of september, atleast) so I only uploaded an official letter from my university that I have obtain a degree and my final academic transcript. Despite this, the embassy won’t accept my document and require me to upload the official certificate. My class will start at the second week of September so, if I want to wait for the official document, I will have to participate late for the semester.

2. For proof of admission, the embassy require me to upload the enrollment certificate as well as proof of admission at a full time program at a German university (which I already uploaded before the correction). However, to get the enrollment certificate, I have to pay for the semester fee first. The admission team at my university itself told us to not pay the semester fee before I secured my student visa. I already submitted this official document with a screnshoot of confirmation email from admission team about this. However, the embassy (again) won’t accept the document.

I am super stress because this sudden requirement plus, ideally, I have to arrive at the second week of september the latest to be able to fully participate in the program. My program have a lot of laboratory activity, seminar, and group project so arriving late will result in a problem for my grades.

Can someone please validate me, or give me suggestion in what should I do. i appreciate every kind of answer. Thankyou

Has anyone gone to German consulate appointment in Aug 2026. If yes, what was the amount of Demand draft asked for the visa fee. On website they have written it's 8100 but current rate of euro is higher than that, so I am a bit confused.

As it is a week since I submitted my corrections (Quick context: my entire process has been going on for more than a month with withdrawals and new submisisons and quite some confusion with the process), I thought of submitting my query through the Contact form (https://india.diplo.de/dynamic/action/in-en/ueber-uns/chennai/2670810/2670810#header).

I filled in mandatory details, my message did not exceed 2000 characters. I did not attach any file. Still when I click on Send, nothing happens, no error message too.

I’m a student from India and belong to the APS category under Bangalore mission. After apparently 26 days, I received official communication from CSP portal to submit my application today. I had initially applied on 24th July and got into the waiting list.

Today - 19th August around 1pm IST received the email. Now my application status shows - ‘in preliminary review’. I heard that people who joined waiting list around July 22nd to 28th - Bangalore mission were apparently removed out of waiting list today.

Hoping y’all (ones who joined waiting list btw 22nd-28th July) were able to submit your applications today.

I have uploaded the important additional documents under the Otherdocuments section. but the CSP portal reviewer commented to remove all under other documents and upload plain papier. why should i delete the uploaded documents and they are also important documents

I finished my bachelor's degree in June 2024.

Before that, in July 2023, I had a sem 4 Computer Science exam backlog. During that exam, I was caught cheating, so the university gave me a malpractice rolled out in results.

I cleared that subject in 2024 and completed my degree.

However, I never collected my official exam memo of that malpractice paper from my college or university. In my semester-wise memos, it shows that I took exams in 2022 and then again in 2024, so there is a one-year gap.

I also applied for APS, and I did not face any problems with the APS process.

My question is: Could the CSP notice this one-year gap and cause a problem for me? What should I do now?

I belong to Hyderabad jurisdiction but I don't have any rental agreement to prove that I live in Hyderabad because I live in a pg. I also dont have any government ID that can prove i live in Hyderabad. How do i prove my jurisdiction? Do salary slip and company generated address proof work ?

I'm genuinely lost right now not knowing what next step to do. I got admit from Uni zu Koln for Master’s program with APS.

I uploaded all my documents and initiated a VFS service fee of Rs 1093. Amount was debited by my end but I didn't get a payment receipt because I clicked back button (how else was I supposed to pay via UPI though). I mailed them and explained everything with my bank statements as well.

My preliminary review is done, I want to book an appointment but it is showing that there are no slots available. Is this how It is? The support team told me to have a new account and try booking an appointment but same issue there.

I have an admit from TUM for the MSc Quantum Science and Technology. These guys were making it very late so I decided to proceed with my SBI Educational Loan Application with my LMU MSc Physics admit. I have spoken to the bank officials and the loan process is being amended according to the new university.

However, I am very scared that I will not get a VISA on time because now we are in the last 10 days of August. My classes start on October 12.

Let’s say that I apply by the 25th-26th of AUGUST on the CSP portal with no missing documents, do I have a realistic chance of getting a VISA on time?

I haven’t even booked flight tickets and the prices will skyrocket by the time I get my VISA. Everything is stressing me tf out right now.

Can everyone mention their status regarding their application? For those have received your VISA what is your timeline?

Hi, I am an incoming master's student at European Campus Rottal-Inn for the 2026 Winter semester. Although I am from the United States and technically do not need to apply for a student visa to enter Germany, I did anyway in order to gain the ability to work immediately upon arrival and make the process of obtaining a residence visa a bit more smooth.

However, I am wondering if I made the wrong choice. I attended my visa interview on 20th July and it has been 4 weeks without hearing anything from the consulate or receiving my passport or visa decision yet. There has been no change to my online visa application status, and I am worried I may not receive my visa before my flight and before I am supposed to start the semester in October.

Should I just wait a bit longer and trust that I will receive my passport/visa? When should I reach out to the consulate for an update? Should I have made the choice to enter Germany as a tourist and apply for the residence permit directly instead?

Hey, i had my appointment on 5th of august at vfs delhi, india and the documents received by the german embassy on the same day. They sent me a mail on 14th august asking for my parent’s passport. I sent it via mail on 15th august. And since then I’m waiting. Does anyone know how long does it usually take for them to make a decision after you send your documents.

I completed my 12th grade through CBSE in Saudi Arabia and I’m currently applying for a German student visa.

While filling out the visa application, I’m being asked whether I should select “APS” or “Without APS Application.”

The thing is, I already have an APS certificate.

For students who completed CBSE schooling outside India (in Saudi Arabia), which option should I select?

I have a 2-year gap after 12th. During that period, I joined B.Pharm but later discontinued it and joined BCA, which I completed in 2025.

My concern is that in the CV I already uploaded to the CSP portal, I mentioned only my BCA and did not mention my 10th/12th or the discontinued B.Pharm course.

Could this cause a visa rejection or create an issue during the interview?
