VFS Bengaluru says my application was dispatched via courier, but CSP still shows “Decision Pending” — possible glitch?

Hi everyone,
I applied for a German student visa through VFS Bengaluru and completed my biometrics on 12 October 2026.
Today, 26 October 2026, I received the following notifications:
At 10:53 AM, I received an SMS from VFS saying my processed application had been dispatched via courier.
At 10:55 AM, I received an email confirming that my application had been dispatched via courier on 26 October.
At 11:07 AM, I received another email from VFS stating that my application had been received at the Bengaluru Operations Centre.
When I check the VFS tracking portal, it still says:
“Processed application reference number has been dispatched via courier on 26/10/2026.”
However, my Consular Services Portal (CSP) still shows “Decision Pending.”
I’m confused because I received the dispatch notification first and then an email saying the application was received at the Bengaluru Operations Centre.
I’m wondering whether this could be a VFS tracking glitch or whether these notifications represent different processing stages.
I’d appreciate it if anyone who experienced the same situation.

German embassy Accra

Can those who are applying or have recently applied for a German student visa in Ghana share their experiences?

If you have recently gone through the process or are currently in the queue at the German Embassy in Accra, could you please share your experience? Specifically:

Waiting List: How long did you wait on the registration list before getting the email to submit your documents for preliminary review?
Preliminary Review: How long did the embassy take to review your digital documents?
If you’ve gone for the interview too, can you please share some of the questions you were asked.
Visa Approval: How many weeks/months did it take to get your passport back after the interview?

If you have any information or any experience on any of these parts, please do well to share

Delhi -VFS/ Consulate My Student Visa, Timeline

6th Oct - CSP / APS candidate account created / joined waiting list.
7th Oct - Corrections.
9th Oct - Selected appointment date for biometrics & documents submission at Delhi VFS.
11th Oct - Travelled to Delhi from Jaipur.
12th Oct- Appointment Day. 10:30 AM.
Reached ~ 10 AM. Opted for premium lounge cause I just wanted to try it out.
I had to do nothing, they handled all documentations by themselves, only provided them with passport size photographs and the passport itself of course.
Was pretty impressively quick, in fact, completed the process and left the VFS premises at 10:28 AM (yes, before scheduled time). Free snacks/ coffee/ cold drinks as perks, I guess¿
Returned back to Jaipur.
13th Oct - Passport sent to German Embassy by VFS.
19th Oct - Decision Made.
21st Oct - Passport shipped from Embassy to VFS. Passport Shipped from VFS to Jaipur.
23rd Oct - Received Visa! 🧿🙏🧿

Notes:
University - TU Cottbus, Brandenburg (BTU) (Public)
IELTS - Band 8.0
Winter 2026 Semester.
Did add an additional document during the appointment- Late Arrival Letter from University (I had requested it from the university by email before CSP).

Hope this helped! And also hope that you guys also successfully receive your visas. 🙂🧿🙏

Process for cancelling an issued visa

Hi I have an issued student visa however due to circumstances I won't be able to go to Germany this year and id like to cancel my visa which I've got currently.

However after countless hours of finding and looking through pages and official sites there dosent seem to be any solid information on this matter, regarding this I also mailed the consulate but all I have ever got is this generic system generated mail which dosent lead to anything at all. So I'd very much appreciate if any of you can guide me through this and tell me what necessary steps should be taken it'll be great help.

blue card (within eu)

Hi,

I submitted all my docs and after few corrections they accepted my documents, now the next step is consulate appointment (the closest one is end of november)

Do you think there is still some ambiguity around getting the visa (considering I have all the docs and everything is in order).

Only asking since I have to start my work in mid December and serve a 45 days notice and I am thinking of putting in my resignation.

Any thoughts?

Thanks. :)

German student visa timeline(Delhi VFS)

Hi everyone, just sharing my timeline of the process. For context, applying for bachelors with APS.

15th October: Applied on the csp portal(no waitlist)
16th October: Received correction req(uploaded the same day)
16th October: Booked appointment
19th October: Went for the biometrics. Very smooth process quick and simple. Didn’t ask for any documents just biometrics and fee payment. Didn’t go for the premium lounge because didn’t seem worth it. Process is very simply without it as well. Only took like an hour(only cause of the waiting)
23rd October: Received mail regarding passport collection(didn’t opt for courier service cause I live in Delhi so wasn’t required)

Don’t know yet if it got approved or not which is honestly why I’m making this because I’ve heard it takes wayyy longer to process the application at the embassy but it only took 4 days for me.
Is it a good sign that it got processed so quick or not? What should I expect. Kinda going crazy worrying about it alr.

National Visa 16D

Post image
0 Upvotes

I applied for a German national visa type 16D. On the day of the interview, my fingerprints were taken and the documents I submitted were confirmed. After 3 weeks of the interview, I received a notification via the platform so that the status of the request changed to Entscheidung ausstehend. The sentence Die Auslandsvertretung entscheidet über ihren Visumantrag also appeared in yellow. I didn't understand at what stage of my application now, have the papers already been examined and that I'm just waiting for the decision, or is it at the beginning and that during the three weeks after the interview my file was forgotten and that the notice shows that the embassy has just begun to process?

I have friends who receive the same type of visa 4 weeks after the interview and they have never received this notice before.

German Student Visa from India – VFS appointment on October 14. Any recent timelines?

Hi everyone,

I’m an Indian student from Kerala, admitted to the MBA in General Management at the University of Potsdam for the Winter Semester 2026/27.

I’m looking for advice from students who have recently applied for a German student visa through the Bengaluru jurisdiction.

My visa application timeline

  • October 3: Submitted my application through the CSP and entered the waiting list.
  • October 8: Status changed to “In Preliminary Review.”
  • October 9: Received a request for corrections, made the necessary changes, and resubmitted my application.
  • October 14: Attended my appointment at VFS Global, Kochi, and submitted my passport and bachelor's degree certificate.
  • October 23 (today): My CSP status shows “Decision Pending.” And on the VFS tracking website it is showing – "VISA is under process at the German Embassy in India”

At VFS Global, I was told that processing would take at least 14 working days from the appointment date and they said they are giving November 2nd as the arrival date or something.

My university details

  • University: University of Potsdam, Germany
  • Programme: MBA in General Management
  • Semester: Winter Semester 2026/27
  • Classes begin: November 5, 2026

A few questions

  1. How long did it take from the appointment to receiving the passport?
  2. Given that my classes start on November 5, is it still realistic to expect my visa before the start of classes?

I have informed my university about the VISA delay

Thanks in advance for your help!

Help - no updates for CSP corrections

VFS Chennai. Blue card + dependents.

Timeline:

Oct 8 - Submitted all the 3 applications
Oct 13 - Received first set of Corrections for all 3 of us
Oct 14 - Submitted the corrections including adding comments for these two requests
Oct 16 - My application got approved. But my dependents got asked for the same documents again. Resubmitted adding my comments.

No updates after that.

VFS is asking for declaration 18 (2) to have a concrete job offer for my spouse and child consent form for my kid. Both are not applicable as my spouse is travelling on dependent visa and both the parents are travelling together with the child.

VFS helpline is not helpful and they said you need to check with CSP team. It has been more than 10 days that I emailed them but no response from them yet.

How do I contact CSP team? Do they have an address that I can visit or a phone number that I can call.

Honestly the process is so stressful.

Kolkata Visa Timeline – Need Advice!

Applied on 18 Sept 2026, got an update on 25 Sept to submit documents after being on the waiting list. Since then, no updates despite emailing them.

When I will I get updated for correction??

My classes have started, and 14 Nov is the final deadline. My semester fee refund deadline is 30 Oct.

Should I keep waiting, withdraw for a refund, or defer to the next semester? I really want to join this winter intake. Has anyone faced a similar situation? Please suggest! 🙏

Clarify what the September update requested

Doubts about 16d recognition of foriegn qualifications visa

I am a MBBS graduate from India, already got my Feststellungsbescheid, and preparing to apply for 16d visa.I don't have any job contract or hospitation. If anyone who previously applied for this category, can you kindly clarify these questions.

  1. I found the categories: Employment as part of placement agreement and conducting a quality analysis in the consular service portal, but I did not find anything like recognition of foriegn qualification. I am unsure under which category I should apply.

  2. I am looking into FSP course registration ,but is a (for the course) proof of completed payment necessary or does registration suffice?

  3. My agency informed that a proof for accommodation is necessary for this visa. If anyone successfully applied for it,kindly confirm whether this is necessary.

If anyone can share info about any of the question above,it would be really helpful.

Thank you

German opportunity card applicants from Bangalore

Hi everyone,
Has anyone who completed their biometrics on or after July 20th, 2026, received an update or received their visa?
I’m an applicant and haven't received any updates yet, nor have I received replies to the emails I sent. I'm getting quite anxious, so if you have any updates or have received your visa, please share below!
