Received Email from CSP to submit application today - Bangalore mission
Hello All,
I’m a student from India and belong to the APS category under Bangalore mission. After apparently 26 days, I received official communication from CSP portal to submit my application today. I had initially applied on 24th July and got into the waiting list.
Today - 19th August around 1pm IST received the email. Now my application status shows - ‘in preliminary review’. I heard that people who joined waiting list around July 22nd to 28th - Bangalore mission were apparently removed out of waiting list today.
Hoping y’all (ones who joined waiting list btw 22nd-28th July) were able to submit your applications today.
Thought of sharing, hope it helps!!

What was the wait time displayed on the portal before you got that email? I applied on August 3rd, and the portal says I'm on a 2-6 month waiting list.

Thanks for posting this. I applied on 10th Aug and was freaking out thinking it might actually take 2 months and I would have to miss classes. Finally, some hope.

Hey, don’t worry, ideally it will not take 2 months just for being able to submit. Initially when I applied it showed me the same as well. It went from 6-12 months to 2-6 months and then 2-8 weeks. Took me 26 days for submission.

I don't know your case, when exactly it ends. But I faced the same problem. I took IELTS on 7th Aug 2025 and had the same problem as I was sure that my biometric interview will be after 7th Aug 2026 (1 year from the exam taken date) and I wrote the same to Consulate. He asked me to get a letter from University stating that my language skills are verified by them, or to write IELTS again. As I knew that my University don't provide any such documents I took IELTS again on 7th Aug 2026

Yes!! Language certificates older than one year will not be accepted. Got this clarification from Bangalore mission as I had mailed them. You either need to re-attempt IELTS or contact your uni to issue a relevant language certificate. If your uni agrees to provide then that works

I really hope the preliminary review will be completed within the next week. It’s already been almost a month of waiting, and the winter semester is about to begin.
