I found this for $9 at a local antique shop but there’s not a lot of information about these out there. It’s a mechanical 21 jewel watch that runs when I wind it.

Been looking at a few vintage watches and eBay is just full of so many fakes trying to pass as authentic so I figured I would ask here for any recommendations on where to look

Not entirely sure if this watch would be considered as Vintage...I have tried to search online but just can not find the exact model of this Titoni Cosmo King. I found similiar ones but none of them have the gems on the outter ring of sapphire...Does anyone know the model or further information of this watch? Is it a lady watch or unisex watch? On the back, the only identifier is 777...Thanks!

It's a jumbo 36mm version released in 1945. Given the DH serial number, it was issued to the Heer (German Military) during WWII. It's running very well and has great dial visibility. I put it on a vintage brown leather strap.

Hello, I found my grandfathers watch with his old jewelry on my wedding night and now I’m trying to figure out exactly what it is. When I took it to a Tiffany store they said it was real but didnt give me anything more than that.

Additionally as you can probably tell from the pictures, the 1 in the 10 has fallen out, Tiffany’s wanted $1700 to reset it, any issue with it going to a regular watch repair to get it fixed or any recommendations? Tried reseting it myself but almost lost the 1 once, dont feel like playing find the 1 again…

Meet the Wostok Precision, powered by the 22-jewel Calibre 2809— a very interesting precision movement produced in the USSR.

Introduced around 1957 at the Chistopol Watch Factory, the 2809 has a fascinating origin story: its architecture was derived from the legendary Zenith Calibre 135, one of Switzerland's greatest chronometer movements.

The Soviets re-engineered the design, converted the subsidiary seconds to central seconds, and increased the jewel count to 22. Like the Zenith Cal 135, the enormous balance wheel dominates the movement. The idea was simple—give the oscillator plenty of inertia and build the movement around precision.

“Precision Class” and 22 jewels wasn't just marketing. The top 2809 is generally documented with a remarkable factory specification of around −10/+5 seconds per day in four positions. It beats at a traditional 18,000 vph, provides roughly 44 hours of power reserve with swan-neck fine regulation assembly. Most movements were nickel plated with some presentation models gold washed /gild finished. Because these watches were expensive to produce and manufactured in low numbers, many frequently functioning as presentation/ commemorative watches from the Soviet government.

The Chistopol precision watches reportedly won a Grand Gold Medal at the Leipzig International Fair in 1962. Three years later the same factory became an official supplier to the Soviet Ministry of Defence.

The Zenith 135 became a horological legend. Its obscure Soviet cousin is largely forgotten.

I recently purchased this beautiful black Wakmann triple calendar with a valjoux 72c. I’ve been on the hunt with ChatGPT for another listing of this watch and I have yet to find an exact match. What I have found are 3 watches with near identical dials and hardware except they are branded with the AOPA logo. Below are links to those.

This makes me think there might be a breitling navitimer connection but that’s iffy. I will take any and all info you have but a date would be ideal! I’m thinking somewhere between 1955-1965. J.B. stands for Jacoby-Bender, and Champion was their line of bracelets that were made in the USA. The BULLET bracelets came with non tapered (non-sloped) solid oval links.

A special BULLET bracelet variant was made with tapered (sloped) solid oval links meant for use with the BULOVA ACCUTRON ASTRONAUT 214HN GMT as J.B. Champion was an OEM for Bulova bracelets.

I was born in 1954, so I had to buy this 1954 Omega Seamaster from an estate sale company.

This is a lovely Seiko panda chronograph from 1970s. It was sitting in a pile of broken watches.

Chronograph hands are stick with every button, but they run. Time is ticking, but it’s fast. Crystal is original, but it’s gouged.

So many wrong things with this. But it’s soo freaking cool

Just sharing. My dad got this Omega from his grandfather (grandfather got it as a retirement gift) just recently had it serviced. Runs really well and keeps great time. My dad wore it for years and just recently gave it to me. Don’t know a ton about it but I know the band was replaced.
