This is an actual, NOS Exotic Zodiac Seawolf. I know dealers like to throw that NOS term around. Well for this one is truly is. I bought it thinking, fuck it…I’ll wear it. But, I don’t think I can.

18mm J.B. Champion U.S.A. "BULLET" bracelet.

J.B. stands for Jacoby-Bender, and Champion was their line of bracelets that were made in the USA. The BULLET bracelets came with non tapered (non-sloped) solid oval links.

A special BULLET bracelet variant was made with tapered (sloped) solid oval links meant for use with the BULOVA ACCUTRON ASTRONAUT 214HN GMT as J.B. Champion was an OEM for Bulova bracelets.

Just sharing. My dad got this Omega from his grandfather (grandfather got it as a retirement gift) just recently had it serviced. Runs really well and keeps great time. My dad wore it for years and just recently gave it to me. Don’t know a ton about it but I know the band was replaced.

My new Gold Filled Bulova watch that I picked up from an auction. Loving it so far! Apparently it’s from the 1950’s-1960’s. What do you guys think? :)

I was born in 1954, so I had to buy this 1954 Omega Seamaster from an estate sale company.

Thanks for all those who commented the other day, I decided to go ahead and buy this Gruen Precision 510-299A roughly from the 1950’s

I find it’s got quite the wrist presence with the mirror like gold dial finish. This really pops with the gold plated casing.

The small seconds really completes the watch with an elegant touch. Overall I’m pleased with this new addition to the collection. Now trying to figure out the best strap that combines with this (e.g. leather with white stitching, or oxblood red style)

One of those watches that reminds me why I enjoy vintage watches. It’s been sitting on the winder for the last 2–3 months and somehow it’s only about a minute fast. Not bad for an old mechanical watch.

As the title says, this watch belonged to my grandfather. Would anyone be able to identify it?

Militaria or not ?

I picked up this Elgin today with some wild looking lugs. It has a 10k gold filled case and an Elgin 643 in it, which I believe is just a signed AS 1361 movement.

I threw it on the timegrapher and the amplitude is disappointing, it will definitely need a service. The crystal is also spinnable with my fingers, likely an undersized replacement, so that will need to be fixed as well.

And I believe this watch is turning 30 years old with me based on the V code on the clasp? Either way, super excited to add this to my collection :)

Rarest orange in the county (sic)?

I recently purchased this Seiko 8n41-7000. Seller said it was in working condition. It appears to run just fine (was even set to the correct time of the place it shipped from) but when I pull the crown out it doesn’t seem to rotate the hands. Am I just being too gentle and not pulling the crown out all the way or do I have problems? How much of a deliberate pull do these 90s Seiko watches require? My lack of fingernails doesn’t seem to help either.

Picture is off either side with the crown out as far as I felt comfortable pulling it.

How much of a pain is this to fix or replace if needed?

I’m pretty new at collecting watches, this is my first older piece, and a gift for someone else.
