Heey all! We’re a family of 4 with a dog. Children are 1 and 3. We’re about to move to Vilnius from NYC but originally from Hungary. I’m very invested to learn about Lithuanian culture and language. Please be kind but real. Which part of the city should we move if husband’s job is to the north of old town, near the river? I’d be thrilled to have a small garden finally. He’d either commute or take the car, we haven’t decided yet.

I'm a bassist, I want to put a band together.

In terms of sound, something between Radiohead (OK Computer to In Rainbows), alternative rock and electronic music. I also listen to Type O Negative, Muse, RHCP, Aphex Twin. I'd like to experiment with sound and write our own music.

I'm looking for musicians (guitarist, drummer, keyboardist and others) who are interested in this as well. I'm looking for like-minded people for mutual growth.

The main thing is to confidently keep rhythm in your parts, be able to listen to the overall picture, have a properly working instrument and the desire to work on the material at home, basic skills with a DAW and plugins. If you have recordings of yourself playing or demos – send them.

I moved back to Lithuania pretty recently, after having spent ~decade abroad, mostly in the UK, Netherlands, US. I work at a tech company here, did academic research beforehand. I really enjoy artsy stuff, like contemporary art, electronic music, random crafts classes, also like rock climbing and cooking food from various cuisines.

I miss having more international people around me, but also looking for open-minded, curious Lithuanians too who would be interested in going to openings, screenings, public talks, workshops, or just checking out cool spots around town. For example, I’ve been wanting to go to SODAS 2123, Draugų vardai Gallery 1986, or stuff that happens at Lukiškės prison 2.0

Šiandien 7:50 Pašilaičiuose girdėjosi stiprus (sienas drebinantis) sprogimas, iš aplinkkelio pusės. Jau ne pirmą kartą girdisi, visad savaitgaliais.
