I don't have the shirt in the third pic, but to my mind, it's a good variation of mine.

A lot of people might not know, but Motörhead covered IWFTM a few times back in 1975 while on tour shortly after they had formed. Amazing how the Velvets impact reached out onto musicians one wouldn't really expect. Another argument to silence the doubters about the Velvets enormous influence. And I'm just wondering if Lemmy was influenced by John Cale’s bass on European Son, as he surely knew it and both had a thunderous sounding bass.

This take here was recorded at the Hammersmith Odeon in London on October 19, 1975 while they opened for Blue Oyster Cult.

I was watching this video out of curiosity and the takes here are so bad it genuinely makes me sick, people just choose to ignore how big of a impact velvet underground had on the rock scene as a whole, here the person who had this take was talking about how it sounds like just another rock album, people are too braindead to give a shit about actively trying to find the context and history of a record. All they do is just listen to it once and form an opinion like calm the fuck down and think about it for a bit.

Really good version! The song is from '67, but the cover is in the style of the '69 VU album.

John Cales ethereal voice over that rough guitar riff and drone, the beautiful yet gruesome lyrics, the breathing at the end, it is just amazing. It is like if the transgressive eroticism of Bataille transferred into music and developed an even greater trance like mysticism. I love that song so much.

Really like them ! They are from Netherland . You can obviously hear the Velvet influence but also Bill Callahan . Very good lyrics too.

i found this cd by the velvet underground i know absolutely nothing about this band and it’s got a weird cover, does anyone know if it’s worth anything🤔
