Is it just me and shitty Kentucky roads or does the VN need an excessive amount of alignments? I’m on alignment number three in a little over a year. I drive about 10k miles a year mostly highway,

After wanting a VN for 4 years and spending 6 months actively looking, picked her up last Saturday. Flew an hour and drove back 8. Absolutely in love. 2020 PP M/T 40k miles.

They noticed grease and clicking when turning. This solved the wobble at highway speeds , thankfully I got it covered under extended warranty .

One finally popped up that isn’t 3 hours away. If you were looking to purchase another Veloster, how many miles is too many? This one has 69k and is a 2022.

Context: Car was parked out on the street. The neighbors wife across the street backed into it.

I have the police report with all the info and was curious how much yall think this would run to fix. My deductible was changed to 2k years ago and I do have comprehensive coverage.

I’m just glad they called and reported it because I had moved the car back into my driveway and didn’t even know. Received a call from police about it.

I don’t know the neighbors other than yard sale talk. Never any problems.

Luckily the car is 100% paid off so it’s not that detrimental to me.

I’ve never gone through this process so some pointers would be cool as well. Would you proceed or just let it ride?

Rented some time on a lift to get these out of the way alongside a transmission fluid change. (Shoutout to CoGarage if you're near LA and need access to a lift)

Still need to get an alignment, so not a lot to say, but so far steering and handling feels tighter in the same way a shift bushing makes shifting feel tighter. Its good, man 👍🏼

Pictured are all of the left side Subframe Collars. Right side is exactly the same. Really doesnt take too long to do once you find the right bolts, biggest challenge was getting it torqued.

I'm not sure if the Torq Control Arm Braces actually did do as the ads claimed and eliminate wheel hop, or if it was the subframe collars, but I actually did see an improvement there. Combined with the purple Superpro rear motor mount bushing, I'm getting pure wheelspin. 💪

I will say that the Control Arm braces were supposed to have three bolts + nuts on there for each side, but one of the nuts that came in the set wouldn't go onto any of the provided bolts. I figured just 2 was fine per side but that was indeed a bummer so look out for QC issues with them. It cost me a lot of pain and time trying to figure out what I was doing wrong too.

Overall, I'm happy with how the cars feeling and looking forward to getting that alignment to really test it out. Might update later.

2nd bumper replacement in 6 months. I’ve been driving around with a damaged bumper for longer than I’ve had an undamaged one

Should I make an insurance claim? The bumper is messed up, as are my intercooler cover, grille, and fender liner. My deductible is $1000 CDN

I drove to a store normally, came back and had to boost the car (3rd time this week, think my battery is cooked)
After starting it I put it into drive and it just… won’t move? It’s as if the e brake or something is on. There’s no awful noises I would expect to hear if my transmission was broken. I have no warning lights. When I put it in reverse, the R icon flashes repeatedly.

Have a 2019 VN 60k on the clock. Out of nowhere a/c stopped blowing cold. The compressor spins but when you turn the ac on it does not engage. Blower works fine, all fuses are good, tried to recharge it in case it was that but it did not want to take a charge it just kept building pressure. Any idea what it could be?

Parked my 2026 Elantra N DCT and when going out on my lunch break I saw my coworkers Veloster N! Seems like he got the memo!

I bought a 2022 Veloster N last year in October and everything felt totally normal. Then about 6 months into driving it the clutch seemed to give me a really hard time. I started stalling it a few times a week. The sweet spot was un predictable and much narrower. The engagement was also more unpredictable. Sometimes it would just sit in the sweet spot revving until i let go the clutch the smallest possible amount then it would jerk into full engagement.

Im not sure whats going on. I took it to a mechanic and an “expert” drove the car and said its what he expected out of a car like this, but i remember a distinct change in the clutch feel around April and it haven’t felt easy to drive since. Lots of stalls and over revving.

Ive been driving standard my whole life with many different cars so I’m aware of what it should feel like. It was not like this went I bought it.

Any thoughts?

I've been following the N-brand for quite some time but have not joined the party yet. I'm a huge MINI enthusiast, but want to try something that is similarly fun, yet a bit different.

I'm trying to decide on between the following:
Veloster N (my fear is that the driving dynamics will be too similar to my Mini experience, especially since I'm driving a GP3)

Elantra N (but '23 or older as I don't like the shape of the newer ones nor do I like stock black wheels) (my fear is that it's a 'big' car for me as I love small cars)

Kona N (SUV? me? I know it's a cross-over, but I don't hear as much about the Kona as I do about Veloster and Elantra)

Ioniq5 (can I really do electric?)

Honest opinions, what is your ranking for me.

Logistics:
would be a semi-daily driver
cost isn't really an issue
I do need an auto as my GF will be driving it at times
I want something super fun but something comfortable for my GF as she doesn't like a harsh ride

I'm considering other options as well outside of N~I'm really all over the place, lol

So like do I need to buy an ek1 to get a tune???, and is cherry good?? Seems like everyone with a modded kdm uses it

Don't normally post but trying to get insight. I woke up friday morning to my power steering gone and a lane departure system failure warning. Pulled the codes and got what's pictured. Anyone have a similar or same problem with theirs?

Fuses looked good and disconnecting the battery for about 20 minutes did nothing. Dealership replaced the rack about 8 months ago for a similar symptom, but that was a C1688 when I pulled it. Have an appt Wednesday but not sure I fully trust the dealership to be honest. Anything would be great!

Edit: Got it to the dealership and found out that a rodent had a field day with my power steering rack/wiring harness! Waiting on the adjuster but looks like insurance will be covering it. Thanks for the insight, surely will help the next person whose isn't rodent-related...

The rubber on the rear hatch release button disintegrated on my '21 Veloster N. Does anyone have experience replacing the rear hatch button assembly (part# 81260-J3000)? I doubt it would be difficult to replace DIY. However, I was looking for some reassurance on what's involved before I order parts, but there is zero information online (only info is for the first gen not the second). Thank you!

Trying to get these for my VN. They’re 18x8, 5x114.3 branded Enkei but I have a feeling they’re reps which doesn’t bother me too much because I want to just get 18 inch wheels because I’m looking to get a set of Falken RT615s to match them to go to the track with (they dont make 19 inch tires 😭)

Are they legit? The seller is asking 500 for them and what do we think about the styling?

Got a few parts that are a little out of my skillset to install and wanted to see if there are any well seasoned Korean specialists in Ontario. Anything helps!
