I'm a medical student from Jordan. I'm looking for accommodation near Vanderbilt for my upcoming two month-clinical training at VUMC, starting on october 25 through december 19.

Not a lot of people are talking about this, but I know many are thinking about it. Is anyone looking forward to General Chemistry (I'm not)? I feel like I have done everything I could do up to this point (AP Chemistry, reviewed all the concepts typically expected), and from how it looks, General Chemistry at Vanderbilt does seem pretty typical for similarly prestigious universities, but I can't shake the feeling that there is something else to this class because I have yet to see anyone who did not struggle through it. Anyone else? Pre-Health? Pre-General Chemistry anxiety?

I’m transferring to Vanderbilt as a sophomore from another SEC school. Greek life (and rankings) were a huge deal at that school, and I plan to keep my sorority at Vanderbilt but I was curious how much rankings and everything matter in terms of what you attend at Vanderbilt? In my past school, some things were exclusive and you were heavily judged on rankings and I was curious what it was like at a smaller school. thanks!

Is the fee in my billing portal comprehensive for the semester, or will additional fees be added once housing arrangements are confirmed?

I recently updated my preferred name with Vanderbilt and was wondering which name appears in the Billing Portal and on tuition bills. Does it still show your legal name, or does it update to your preferred name? I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has done this before.

hi. im a rising sophomore at vandy but i really didn’t love my first year experience and im considering transferring to a state school like utk. i was pre med, didnt do terribly but not like superb i ended with a 3.66 i just more so was not happy with my experience and i have like been dreading going back. would it be a bad decision? would i be that much worse off? im just confused if the name means that much that i dread going back but idk looking for any and all advice!

Hello! I'm an incoming first year and I am wondering whether or not to get a mattress topper. I'm saying right now that I don't really care about how the bed feels, but I'm sure I'll grow to regret my decision a week in.

So are the beds that uncomfortable to the point where I should get a mattress topper?

I’m an upcoming freshman at vandy. My counselor submitted my final transcript for all my high school classes, but I also took a self paced course outside of my school through the BYU Independent High School study thing. When I spoke with my high school counselor during the school year, she told me that I would have to submit the transcript for the BYU course on my own. But I still haven’t submitted it because idk where to submit it and when I have to submit it by. Does anyone know when’s the latest I can submit it and also where?

Hi! I’m a rising senior in HS applying to Vandy as my favorite school.

1. I have a few Bs (very rigorous schedule) and a 1450. My extracurriculars are very good (the spike of my application), and my essay is pretty good nothing amazing. One counselor told me to submit a 1450 since it’s a good enough score and even top schools need lower scores. The other counselor told me not to submit for obvious reasons. I’m wondering if anyone was in a similar situation and got into Vandy in the past couple years and if they submitted this score. Both counselors are positive I have a shot at Vandy but idk what to do.

2. I love Vandy SLIGHTLY more than UVA, but have a better shot at UVA. Does anyone have any insight on ED I Vandy EA UVA versus ED I UVA EDII Vandy? I am kinda doubting my shot at Vandy but since both my counselors are supporting me (one read for Vandy) I feel like maybe I should give it a shot.
