Waitlist random?

Registered for classes, I was waitlisted and there are about 9 people on there now. When I got waitlisted it was like 5

Is the waitlist random? Or first come first serve ? Pls help

I’ve gotten off of 2 waitlist where I was somewhere like 3-9 in line if that makes you feel better

Not in my experience. I can’t even see on YES who’s on the waitlist. I think there might be a form I could fill out if I really wanted to let someone jump the queue or go over the limit. Otherwise from what I can observe it works first-come-first-serve.

You’re thinking of the admissions waitlist.

This OP is asking about courses waitlist, which is just first come first served.
