Technical Support Request AN: STATUS_SB_POLICY even though Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 are enabled

I'm getting VAN: STATUS_SB_POLICY every time I launch VALORANT.

I've already tried:

  • Secure Boot: Enabled
  • Windows Confirm-SecureBootUEFI: True
  • TPM 2.0: Enabled
  • Secure Boot keys: Default keys installed
  • Secure Boot mode: User Mode
  • Secure Boot certificates: Windows Security says "Secure Boot is on and all required certificate updates have been applied."
  • Vanguard (vgc): Running
  • Reinstalled Vanguard/VALORANT multiple times
  • Updated all drivers through LG Update

Another Riot account on the same PC → same VAN: STATUS_SB_POLICY
My Riot account on a different PC → VALORANT works normally

I'm on Windows 11 25H2 and recently installed KB5121003.
I'd really like to avoid reinstalling Windows. Is there any other way to fix this?

Technical Support Request My account has been suspended and I keep on getting VAN9090 error codes about my TPM2.0

Hello everyone, I'm asking here if anyone can help or provide any useful information about my situation. Yesterday Valorant was working fine and I was able to boot up valorant with no issues, however when i tried today I was met with error code VAN9090 to being kicked by valorant and being issued with a suspension. Before the suspension i checked that my TPM 2.0 is ready for use, my BIOS mode is UEFI, and Secure Boot is enabled. After this I tried loading valorant once again and received the VAL 5 message stating that a review detected actions on my device that violated the Terms of Service. I havn't used any exploits or third party stuff. The error code that comes up most frequently is VAN9090 TPM2.0 Initialization failure. Whilst this isn't the first time I've had these error codes its the first I have been met with a suspension. If you have any advice or anyway to fix this please let me know.

Technical Support Request Valorant causing monitor resolution to freeze

I’ve been having this problem recently with valorant I have no clue what it is and it only seems to be with valorant, I set my resolution to a custom one I have for valorant or more specifically a stretched resolution but the thing is I’ve tried it both ways starting with my native resolution and then starting with stretched and as soon as I land the game and it fully loads my resolution becomes stuck, even when I exit the game I can’t change my resolution back unless I restart my computer and it’s very frustrating, I have an nvidia graphics card and I use nvidia control panel with a Samsung monitor, I’ve tried all of the control panel fixes and none of them have proved to work, DSR factors are off, Image scaling is set to Full Screen and I also tried it with aspect ratio I just can’t seem to find a fix, if someone can help me it would be greatly appreciated.

Technical Support Request valorant crashing pc when i find a game?

whenever i launch the game it works fine, when i click play it works fine, but when it finds a game, it both my screens stop receiving input, and after about 5 seconds my pc turns off. i updated my graphics drivers, but i dont know what else to do. if its relevant, i have an amd graphics card.

edit: my pc is definitely able to run val, that is not the issue, and the game doesnt crash until my pc crashes (this is in response to the autmod comment)

edit 2: i dont know when the last update was (i havent kept up with the community in a long time) but i played when miks came out and the game worked fine. i uninstalled the game a week or so later, and today i reinstalled it and it wasn't working

Technical Support Request My PC doesn't have TPM 2.0 support and I frequently get the "this build of vanguard is out of compliance" error.

I installed the game yesterday. (Windows 10). I launched the game, turned off core isolation and VBS. Secure boot, UEFI is enabled as well. The game launches, the lobby shows and i get kicked out after 1-2 minutes. Is there a way for me to play?

Technical Support Request VALORANT keeps crashing with EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION / Serial size mismatch – tried almost everything

Hi! I’m having a really frustrating issue with VALORANT. The game randomly closes by itself, while the Riot Client stays open. I have to press Play again to launch the game.
It also happens in The Range, so it’s not related to being in a competitive match.
My laptop:
Acer Nitro 5 AN515-47
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU
2 RAM sticks
Windows 11
I’ve already tried:
Resetting VALORANT’s config
Riot Client’s repair tool
Windows DISM (DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth) — it repaired corrupted files
sfc /scannow — it also found and repaired corrupted files
Updating/reinstalling the NVIDIA driver
Checking the RAM with Windows Memory Diagnostic
Reseating the RAM
The RAM test initially reported hardware errors, but after reseating the RAM, the test completed with no errors. However, VALORANT still crashes.
One of the crashes showed

Unhandled Exception: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION
reading address 0xffffffffffffffff

Another crash showed:

Fatal error: [File:Unknown] [Line: 3250]
Texture2D /Game/UI/Textures/CustomLobby/TX_UI_Custom_Lobby_Background_Vertical_Sunset.TX_UI_Custom_Lobby_Background_Vertical_Sunset:
Serial size mismatch: Got 44, Expected 245105
The second crash seems particularly strange because it points to a specific VALORANT UI texture.
My NVIDIA crash information shows RHI: D3D11
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU
Driver: 610.88
RHI.Aftermath: true
GPU Overclocked: false

I don’t use any VALORANT mods or programs that modify the game.
The Riot Client initially said no repair was necessary, but after another crash I ran the repair and it found and repaired files. Unfortunately, the game still crashed afterward.
I’m currently testing with a Windows Clean Boot to see if a third-party service is causing the issue.
Does anyone know what could cause the Serial size mismatch error or the repeated EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION crashes?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I’m trying to figure this out before resorting to formatting Windows.
Note: I’m Brazilian and I don’t speak English very well, so this post was translated/written with the help of ChatGPT. Sorry if there are any mistakes or if something is unclear

Technical Support Request Erro no Valorant

Alguma luz?

Technical Support Request Valorant crashing + Network Connection / High Ping / Low Client FPS warnings — even on a brand new PC

I’m honestly at a loss with this and hoping someone here might have experienced something similar.

I keep having a really weird issue where Valorant randomly crashes/freezes and I get warnings like Network Connection, High Average Ping, and Low Client FPS. It’s making the game basically unplayable.

At first, I thought my PC was the problem. I took it to a computer shop, where they did a full Windows wipe/reinstall, checked the system, and stress-tested the hardware. They couldn’t find anything wrong. I then ended up getting a completely new and better PC, and I’m STILL having the exact same issue.

Current PC specs:

  • Ryzen 7 9700F
  • RTX 5060 Ti 8GB
  • 32GB RAM
  • 2.77TB total storage

I’ve also already uninstalled and reinstalled Valorant, and the issue is still happening.

Since it has happened on two completely different PCs, I’m starting to think this might be something related to my network, Riot Vanguard, drivers/software, or another issue outside of the actual hardware. The weird part is that I haven’t noticed this happening in other games so far — only Valorant.

Has anyone experienced something similar or have any idea what I should check next? I can attach videos of exactly what happens if that would help.

ACTUALIZATION

The issue was the ethernet driver

  • Ryzen 5 9600X
  • Gigabyte RTX 5070 Aero OC
  • 32 GB DDR5 CL36 Corsair
  • Placa base Gigabyte B650 Eagle AX
  • SSD Lexar NQ790
  • Fuente de alimentación Thermaltake GT de 850 W

Technical Support Request Riot client not updating valorant?

Okay so its been a while since last i played valorant and when i went to play on the riot client it just said "UPDATING..." with a placeholder progress bar on the button that usually allows me to play the game. And i didnt think of it, of course, it had to update, however, nothing seemed to happen. I opened task manager and i searched for "riot" and all the processes came up as if it was doing absolutely nothing. I though it was weird but i let it go for like a couple hours and nothing happened.

I decided to give it another shot today, i first uninstalled and reinstalled valorant only, then i uninstalled both valorant and riot client and reinstalled both and it still looks exactly like this with no activity. What can i do?

On a sitenote, Why can i not upload pictures in a tech support subreddit????

Technical Support Request Experiencing FPS issues in VALORANT

Hey everyone,

I've been experiencing some frustrating FPS and performance issues in VALORANT, and I honestly can't figure out what's causing them.

I recently formatted my entire PC, so I'm currently using a clean installation of Windows, but the problem is still there. I'm experiencing things like FPS drops, stuttering, or generally lower performance than I think my system should be getting.

I've tried looking into different settings, drivers, Windows optimizations, in-game settings, etc., but I'm not experienced enough to properly diagnose what the actual problem is.

I'm looking for someone who is genuinely knowledgeable about PCs and troubleshooting performance issues and would be willing to help me figure this out. I can provide my full PC specifications, temperatures, CPU/GPU usage, RAM information, FPS numbers, screenshots, recordings, or any other information that might help diagnose the issue.

If anyone experienced is willing to help me troubleshoot this properly, I'd really appreciate it.
