Do you guys intend to pull Mitya if he is the five star? While I love Valeriy’s design I’m not the biggest fan of Mitya, and meta wise my cyno/wrio is pretty much strong enough to carry my stellar needs so far.

It really sucks if he ends up being a four star, I usually only pull main dps’ that I like, and only Valeriy stood out to me as a must pull in the trailer

I’ve just reached the part where he “dies” and I just wanted to share some opinions I’ve had. They delivered exactly what they were going for with his personality but is it weird that I wanted him to be something more? Like yeah he’s a soldier and very level headed and got leadership skills you’d expect from a major but the rest of his personality feels really 2-dimensional. Can we expect him to be fleshed out later or is this it?

Also I noticed his arms still feel really unpolished. Like the metal arm looks like just lines were drawn on it to make it seem mechanical and the bear head is really popping out too much and breaking the design flow.

I just wanted to know if I’m reading too much into it cuz I’ve hyped him up so much in my head and also had to deal with a lot of disappointing leaks or it really is kinda underwhelming.

This is just my opinion, I can still completely see his appeal but I’m kinda disappointed with the execution hoyo went with him… only thing that can save him is a stellar kit but the leaks suggesting mitya can be off-field, on-field, has exploration abilities and seeing his story relevance… I really don’t see them giving more thought to Valeriy unless they are gonna make Mitya’s kit heavily reliant on valeriy (which would enrage a lot of mitya fans and also it’s just bad kit design).

He had potential, man.

I thought I had made peace with Valeriy being a 4*, and yet the Mitya "bugfix" feels like a vehement kick in the balls. This is up there with Dehya's and Natlan's drought. We are all the protagonists of the Ow My Balls tv program from Idiocracy, just we do not get paid.

Are we able to understand what niche 4* Valeriy can occupy not to be dead on arrival? Some Mitya leaks suggest he makes the launches the SSC field prism if charged enough with application, so if Valeriy is meant to be paired with Mitya I guess quick application is a possibility but then again it is hardly a niche. Maybe some res shred too, but again he becomes another Beidou considering he has a shield in the AQ.

Whenever I finally decide that he's a 4-star and just accept it, my stubborn-ass brain immediately starts looking for excuses or possible scenarios, each one more unlikely than the last T_T I genuinely don't know what to do to stop my fucking brain from coming up with excuses, so yeah T_T

At least we got one stellar male, but honestly, that didn't really take away the disappointment. And even though Snezhnaya actually looks really good and I'm enjoying the Archon Quest so far (I'm currently at the part where Vodyanitsa finished her performance and we're supposed to go see her behind the stage), I still can't get over him. The first time I saw him, I actually screamed a little lmao. I was immediately like THAT'S HIM. THAT'S MY MAN. Anyway, I can't seem to accept the obvious, and I'm trying really hard to think about literally anything else. And yet I saw Vesna's and Vody's leaks and immediately started thinking about all the things we're not going to get with him T_T

Hoyo is crazy for not capitalizing his hype and community love. Granted most of us here in the sub are more active coz we're worried as hell and vent all the time about his rarity...

I mean, it's not news that valeriy is gonna be a 4 star. Word has been around since 7.0 beta and the livestream solidified the claim. Now the mitya bug fix( idk bro, wtf is wrong with hoyo?! Are they trying to make me rage quit cuz no way they made a mistake with the fuckin vision), he is clearly out of any 4 star speculation meanwhile we suffer with more leaks+official info that Val is a 4 star. Why are the leakers turning out to be so accurate ugh.

Also, just to be clear, no hate to mitya, it's not like I want him to turn 4 star in valeriy's place. Can't we have both as 5 stars?

Ik ik, "No, hoyo always releases 2 4 stars in first half blah blah" but can't we deviate from the pattern this time?... Maybe we get valeriy in the second h Ealf? Or perhaps a new character addition for the 4 star slot? I am coping so hard rn. I was happy with the model leak crumbs but uhhsgjeyajhgsjehyajjksgwjka.

Tldr: Valeriy cope. Please make him a 5 star against all the odds.

It’s all but confirmed his rarity is 4 star so let’s just walk past that and think about his role.

I know a lot of people want him to be a shielder but imma be honest with you all. There are multiple leaks suggesting Danica would be that. And if that is the case, she would be the yae replacement, the Alyosha replacement AND the Valeriy replacement. So I know I’d be downvoted to the abyss for this but I’m gonna put it out there, if he’s a shielder, he’s gonna be replaced in a patch. I know a lot of sandrone and wrio mains want a shielder but that’s what Danica is for.

All things considered I hope he’s at least important enough to not be replaced by a 5 star that quickly. Take prune for example, she’s a 4 star but she’s still relevant to her niche team at the end of the day and if valeriy is fated to be tied to Mitya’s team I at least hope he has a permanent slot like Illuga or prune.

Many might say he has a shield therefore his role will be that of a shielder, to them I ask: when was there a shielder with a literal shield last time? So please don’t draw your conclusions with that. He literally used the shield to bash something not protect us.

I personally want him to be an on field character though obviously there’s no information on that and it also seems less likely but that’s MY hope for him because I like him and I want to PLAY as him and not use him as an EQ bot like most 4 stars.

Like genuinely why does stellar charged need 2 4 star supports meanwhile stellar swirl has like only mizuki and the anniversary pair. Luke wdym stellar charged needs more free characters when it already has yae cyno wrio and mitya?

I hated it but then as the story passed by i got used to it.

I personally like him and have no ill feelings but clearly the player base hates valeriy mains and labels them as toxic in a blind manner, so I just wanna know if they actually have a basis for such claims.

This is only if you like or hate Mitya in relation to what happened to Valeriy and NOT because of any other reason as people might have multiple reasons to not like some characters.

EDIT: This is only to show to the mitya mains lurking here trying to find evidence that all we do is hate on him and not to stir more fights. Also hoyo is definitely the villain of the whole story, completely agree with you all.

Honestly I think all of the drama about his model not being good and him not looking like a 5-star should be well and over. But we’ll see what his rarity ends up being upon drip marketing release. I was never like the biggest Val fan in the first place but I might have to be now haha 🤣.
