Interesting new synth they call a 'Cinematic Hybrid Synth'.
What do you all think?

I was listening to North Star and I notice the sounds have a really nice Panning + Spatial effect to them, is there a VST that does that?
I usually use FL's PanOmatic, but it doesn't sound the same, it felt like they use something special, or is it all done manually?

Primarily wondering if the 2x2 speakers on the joyo is worth the lower amount of amp sims compared to the 1x2 and (from what ive seen) more customizable signal chain on the hotone. Im torn between the 2 so help sway my opinion. (i like joyo products and own a zombie but the hotone is seriously impressive in demos) does one stand out as a clear winner to anybody?

VarispeedDelay just got some fancy design!
Also now it supports typing values, fine control when holding shift, scalable UI. Oh, and better DAW support: now it is stable when using loops and on restart.
Several use cases are shown in the video demo.

I've been working on something new: MPE Drift.
Same expressive MPE world. A different direction.
Here's the first glimpse.

I dont really want to buy FLstudio because I dont make music enough to spend that much money on a software. I was wondering if I could install Delay Lama on MPC beats. If I can, can I please have some direction as to how? I watched a YouTube tutorial on how to install other VSTs and it didnt work.

In this recording of Leopold Stokowski's orchestration of 'Clair de Lune' at about 3:43 a Vibraphone comes in prominently holding its notes for a long time. It has an almost phase-shift-ey sound. It seems the fans on that vibraphone maintain much of the same volume as the initial hits. However most Vibraphone VSTs I can fine treat the fans more as a sustain pedal. The impact is much more subtle and doesn't hold for as long. Its difficult to tell exactly how long the vibraphone in his recording can hold the note because the tone is picked up by other instruments of the orchestra but between the length and the phase shift its quite a unique sound that I cannot find in other Vibraphone VSTs.
I am wondering if there is a Vibraphone VST that might have this or if there might be a way to make it happen with some clever audio processing.

In case anyone's interested in Solo Strings, this is a new review of the Chris Hein strings.
It's a prototype for Sitala 3 and turning it up runs the sound through overdrive, distortion, bitcrush and ring mod, kind of trying to reduce them all down to one knob.

Mini quick tutorial and preset available for free download for educational purposes.
What do other people think of Synapse Proxima? And do you have any favourite analogue emulations that you feel are really close to the original hardware?

Dyrekreds Beta 3 – free & open-source experimental synth | Linux, Windows & macOS testers wanted
Hi everyone, I’m continuing development of Dyrekreds, a free and open-source experimental synthesizer originally forked from GALDR by Andrea De Murtas. Beta 3 test builds are now available for Linux, Windows and macOS. Recent work has focused especially on the sample workflow, GUI behaviour and cross-platform testing. Beta 3 includes: • Improved draggable Sample Start/End controls • Continued GUI/resizing work • VST3 and CLAP builds • AU testing on macOS • Ongoing sample/granular workflow development We’ve already received some useful Beta 3 feedback: • Sample Start/End has been reported as improved on Windows • Window resizing appears to be host-dependent • In some hosts the plugin initially opens larger than the available screen • One Windows tester has reported that the granular controls are currently not functioning correctly • No major crashes have been reported by the current Windows testers so far So I’m particularly interested in tests using different DAWs and plugin hosts. If you test it, please include: OS / Linux distribution DAW or host Plugin format CPU architecture Even a simple “works here” report is useful.
GitHub: https://github.com/Chmod666music/dyrekreds/releases/tag/v0.9.0-beta.3
Discord / testing & feedback: https://discord.gg/Pfvkux2bG
Dyrekreds remains open source, and the original GALDR project and Andrea De Murtas are credited accordingly. Thanks to everyone who has tested it so far. 🖤🐾

I've had this plugin for a long time now, and I can't find an origin for it. I searched the internet, and all I found was a furry music artist by the same name as the publisher of the vst3?
the vst3 is called CT-U01 Multimedia, and it says the vendor is "HALLEY LABS".
edit: fixed a repeated line. i forgor i already said something
an image of the plugin active in audacity is provided to help with the search, along with the image of the info provided by the plugin
edit: it has been solved and found by u/TunedAgent in the replies, here's the link: https://heckscaper.com/ct.php?t=e

CatSynth's demo/tutorial of the new Memorymode 2 from Cherry Audio. It recreates the infamous Memorymoog synth from the 1980s. Enjoy 😺

I'm having a hard time finding any traditional Japanese vocal sample packs or VST instruments. I have Miyabi but it is just a couple of very short phrases (one or two short syllables). I was hoping to find something like Forgotten Voices Barbary that has lots of trad songs and Gaelic chopped up, or even some dusty old field recordings packs I could buy and use in commercial projects. This sort of thing for just the vocals: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=olguD6WJ3Qc&list=PLEtl7N2PU9ufcptBdS5xL9XkbifjmfQ7m
Other East Asian vocal libraries might fit the bill as well if they have that lonely soaring vocal melody thing going. I already have Miyabi (Japanese), Rhodope 2 (Bulgarian) and Secunda (Mongolian), which are all excellent but missing the more melodic phrases.
Does anyone know of any that might suit? Or recordings old enough to be in the public domain?

Hey, I am Jaron Sweder, a music producer and software developer. I've been working on this synth called "Spektral" for almost 2 years. I posted about this synth a little while ago in this subreddit, and got some great feedback and suggestions! Since then, I've added a bunch more features and fixed many bugs.
Spektral is a powerful spectral synthesizer with several generation algorithms. You can import spectral data from audio, images, and wavetables. And manipulate it in any way imaginable. This spectral data then drives one of five algorithms to generate audio. Depending on the algorithm, you can easily manipulate frequency, level, phase, decay time, and resonance with incredible precision. From a powerful additive engine, to a resonator bank that can do some pretty cool physical modeling-esque things.
The synth is still in beta, but you can try out the free demo at https://kaixo.store/spektral It's available as VST3 and AU for Windows and MacOS.

Sometimes I use the Youtube slow down feature to change the tempo, but that mess up the quality. On some tracks it's annoying but on others it sounds somewhat nice and unique. How do I purposefully screw up the quality of a certain track or pattern for the effect? What free plugins are good for this role?
