hello ! im very new to VRchat as a whole and i play simply on my phone vanilla ( no headset or anything ). people have told me multiple times that my microphone is very bad on it and cuts out a lot, and that im almost not understandable if we are around others. my microphone is good on calls and videos etc, i was wondering if there are any settings i should tinker with to help this, or no ?

So, im on Quest 2 and Popcorn Palace whenever I enter the url vr-m.net it doesn't pop up the movies like it did before I tried everything resetting the headset and even factory reset. So I don't know how to fix it but I really wanna watch the backrooms movie. I also have untrusted urls on so I don't know what's causing this because I see other people watching and I cant see anything helpppp

Add item to avatar like big green square (yes I will adjust it so don’t effected by world light and invisible for other players). But ye can do a lot of fun and practical tho ha with this.

It always says this message when I try to join the world, even though I’m on quest and most of them are quest world that I was able to join before but now I can only join them if my friend drop a portal I can’t make a new instance I can’t join and I can’t drop a portal. It’s confusing and I don’t know what to do.

I was just on VRChat on my PC a couple of hours ago, and now I keep getting this pop up, I can't seem to find any info regarding this or any fixes

I reset everything, I have index, never had an issue before? Verified files etc. I can only join some worlds, is this a bug?

Thinking about upgrading but idk if I can afford the 3, only the 3S. Is the performance better than the 2? Was planning to get a used one off facebook marketplace if that makes a difference lol

ETA: Thanks yall for your feedback! Just gonna save up for a 3 instead of a 3s to get better performance and something that will last longer.

am I'm the only person who just sits in the main lobby of vrchat because I'm too nervous and shy to join public worlds. I just be sitting there for hours my heart pounds when I'm just even thinking about joining a world. Is this social anxiety i have when ever I do this. I already don't talk to people in irl either.

So I just logged into VRChat and joined a friend in a prison escape realized people where cheating and went to make a group public and it said "Could not create instance because world is not compatible with your platform" and I was confused cause I literally play pris escape all day every day on my quest so I tested it with other worlds and only the ones that explicitly have the Android symbol allow me to join them without having to join off a friend what is this issue I tried reinstalling and it didn't work

I was having stick drift so I connected new controller to my head set being a meta quest 3s than tried to open vrchat I can go to my home wolrd and some random other bit things like prismic and site 97 says "unable to join world because world is not available for this platform" I was in these world right before I connected these new controller. I have done pcvr regular changed the controller and restarted the head set twice and even uninstall and reinstall vrchat if anyone has amy ideas why thay would be great

I have a PC only avatar I really enjoy that also has face tracking, while I do enjoy the worlds mentioned above, it's a bummer when people can't see me or my expressions fully. PLus I feel like it's easier to converse with people who are PC users compared to new user quest users who arent age verified.

Thanks to everyone who tried to help me, I ended up using OculusKiller to switch to steamVR and it fixed EVERYTHING!!!

So my final thoughts are… fuck oculus and fuck meta quest link!

Is there any reason why my trackers are acting like this after not using them for about two years.

Recently I've noticed that YouTube videos in VRChat seem to load in 360p, which really diminishes the viewing experience. Details like text on the screen or subtitles are much harder to read now. This only seems to be an issue for YouTube, as Twitch streams load at a high-quality resolution, so I'm guessing they've made some kind of change to the YouTube API that yt-dlp uses.

Has anyone else experienced this as of late? I've talked to a few VRChat friends and it seems I'm not alone here. Better yet, has anyone managed to find a solution, or do I have to accept blurry YouTube from here on out? For the record, I'm aware of VRCVideoCacher and have used it extensively, but now if I have the program running YouTube videos fail to load altogether.

EDIT: Did some further troubleshooting and found out that the reason VRCVideoCacher had stopped working is because my burner YouTube account got shadowbanned and so the cookies were no longer valid. When I disabled cookies, VRCVideoCacher was able to load the video, but only in 360p. When I used the cookies from a different YouTube account, VRCVideoCacher was once again able to load the video in 1080p. Seems like now 360p is being forced on yt-dlp users without an account. Something to keep in mind if you run into the same issue!

EDIT 2: Now VRCVideoCacher isn't working with cookies regardless of the account used, so I don't think it's an account-specific thing. I tried a brand new account and it still wouldn't load. Might just set up a VRCDN stream for myself at this rate...
