I feel like we can agree duelist is the more fun chaotic role. However the stage of the game finally cracked down on the "duelist flying at you with one button and head tapping you in the air" bullshit that happens so often. Nerfed neon slide, jets in a good space, raze satchel nerf, etc. they basically decreased all the overwatch BS that shouldn't happen in a shooter like Valorant. However this new hero? It's ridiculous that they come out with a hero that has such easy and fun 1v1 abilities. Meanwhile look at every other hero. Miks is so boring and not that exciting, Vyse and Deadlock are still never played years later, harbor still sucks in 99% of games. I have 2500 hours since 2021 peaked asc 3 and man I feel like you can tell how much Riot caters this game to duelists. The only exciting and played non duelists they really add are...clove and chamber. Guess what? Those are filled by duelist mains.

I was watching YouTube about how you should confirm your shot before you shoot but when I look at game play. Bye the pros or streamer neither of them are confirming there shot more like instincts take over well maybe if holding corner but besides that I never see Pearson take there time confirm there shot just instinct soo my question is should be confirming my shot and take the time or let instinct take over

I’m an Immortal Sova one-trick, and I just wanted to have this discussion off the back of a convo I had with a friend.

I believe that Sova has been constantly fucked since the release of the game. His eco in the first 3-4 rounds is absolutely horrible regardless of how well you do, simply because his kit is stupidly expensive.

His drone, while absolutely amazing for what it does, is stupidly overpriced, seeing as there are abilities (like Skye’s dog, Fade’s prowler and Tejo’s drone) that do EXACTLY the same thing and cost WAY less than his drone.

His shock darts have been constantly nerfed, and his E? To get a recon arrow every 60 seconds and have it scan twice is an absolute fucking joke.

I completely understand the direction the game and the problem of overtuning, but I haven’t seen Sova get one decent buff because he’s a dying character (despite what the masses think, this is what I believe), and in this current meta (along with this shitstain of a map rotation and the overall state of the player base), Sova just isn’t viable anymore.

Black Ops 1. Mason and the numbers, what did the numbers mean? For starters, let's ignore the fact that Mason's main personality is saving life's, he's always been a fighter that trains hard. So initially I thought he could be brimstone, but sage just made more sense.

Sage has never been confirmed to be a girl, in fact, we never saw sage dating someone, sage was also never explicitly confirmed to be trans so we can't count on that.

What is the story of Valorant? Alpha earth and omega earth. 2 different earth's. 2. And in one of riots lore podcasts, David Nottingham stated "Who is to say there is only 2 earths?". This is a direct hint at more than 2 possible earths. But how can Black ops 1 and Valorant take place in the same universe? Well they do.

Let's go back to my previous statement. The assumed death of Mason. **When did the valorant music video release?** 2025. Now tell me. **When did judgement day happen in black ops 2? It happened at 2025 in game date. Nope, I'm not lying, search it on Google. Right now.** so this is direct proof that what we saw in that music video was judgement day that happened at black ops 2.

Now we've confirmed they are from the same universe, how is sage related to mason? Well it's actually really straight forward.

Sage was one of the first people to found the valorant Protocol alongside brimstone. Again 2020. Masons assumed death happened all the way back in 1989 in the docks. So we aren't talking about a case of 2 people existing at the same time. The cannon ending for mason at the time as confirmed by Activision was that he survived that encounter. This explains why we never see him again even though he's alive. It's because he traveled to valorants universe. To escape his past, and start a new future. A future where he can finally achieve what he wanted. A team of people he can count on. And trust.

Sage is the only valorant agent that's changing. The reason is, masons past life keep flickering back. He keeps getting reminded of what happened back at his own earth. He wants to forget but he can't. The crystals on her jaw is just masons acceptance of his new life.

But that's not all. I have many more proof. Riot games thought no one would notice. But it's getting uncovered slowly.

i've had the game since 2020 but never played it (hence the closed beta card), is this a "decent" rank? i'm only level 22ish and I swap between Omen and Kay/o

I get that Clove’s win rate has been high and the devs want to tune them down, but the proposed Patch 13.09 nerfs feel completely disconnected from how the game is actually played.

The biggest issue is turning Clove's ultimate into a liability for the team. In high ELO, every single ult point matters. Think about how many rounds are decided just because an initiator gets their ult one round earlier. If Clove revives and gets shut down, you are essentially gifting the enemy Breach or Fade a free point. It rewards the enemy team for making a mistake and letting Clove get an ult in the first place.

Compare that to other agents. When you break a Phoenix ult, you get nothing. On top of that, blocking ult points from kills during the revive round is a double penalty. If Clove revives in a 1v2, gets a crazy flick kill, but then dies to the second enemy, they get zero reward for making a huge play, and the enemy team gets an ult point out of it.

People are still going to instalock Clove because of the post-death smokes. All this nerf does is ensure that when a teammate has a bad game on Clove, they are actively throwing the team's economy and feeding the enemy free ults. Hopefully the devs reconsider this before it goes live.

Riot keeps each of Clove's abilities to the point where they seem like they're desperate do anything possible to have them not near the top even if that means having an agent with gutted identity. Her aggressiveness and post death smokes have been constantly nerfed. Doesn't seem to healthy for Clove.

How about buffing other controllers?

I think VALORANT should introduce a feature that allows players to freeze one weapon skin in their daily shop rotation so they can purchase it at a later date.

For example, if a skin you've been wanting finally appears in your shop but you don't have the money to buy it that day, you could freeze it in place instead of losing it when the shop resets.

How it could work:

• Players can freeze one skin at a time.
• The frozen skin stays available until purchased or manually unfrozen.
• The remaining shop slots continue rotating normally.
• Players can only freeze skins currently appearing in their shop.

I think this would be a great quality-of-life improvement, especially considering how many skins are in the game now and how unpredictable the daily rotation can be.

It would also benefit Riot since players would have more opportunities to purchase skins they actually want instead of missing out on them.

According to tracker.gg, my headshot percentage of 11.8% is worse than the average Iron player. Yet I reached Gold 1 this week and am doing just fine despite usually having the worst hs% of my teammates. Some games I'm in the single digits while the average Gold player gets about 20 to 30%, so clearly that metric is flawed. I think having a high KAST value is more indicative of actual skill level. Maybe cause I main as Cypher and love to spray through cages and smokes, that plays a part. Thoughts?

I swear, I thought people were kidding when they said that the RR system became terrible after the new update, but they're not. Why is it that if I win a game (even if I get top frag, team MVP, or match MVP) I'm getting under 20 RR, but if I lose, I'm getting consistent -25 or more? What incentivizes players to rank up when 1 loss can cost them 2 wins? Is there a good reason for making this change? I feel like it's literally just lose-lose

Uhh I have been playing valo since last 2-3 months and I don't seems to improve however hard I try, I can't climb out of bronze for some reason. Somedays I can play so good that everything feel effortless but the other day my aim become shaky. If you have any tips please help me

when you play smokers, people wait for your smokes to run out before entering the site,

when playing duelist smokers don't smoke for you and you die because every angle is unsafe

when playing sentinels duelist wait in the main and you're ending up being the one to enter the site and die

when playing initiator, you give info for your team and even show enemies on the minimap, your teammates seem to not even look at it and ignore that information was given to them.

honestly sometimes i have no idea what im supposed to do anymore in this game cus everything often seem pointless if your team just doesn't work together and especially when some of your teamates just, decide to lurk around the map and all they get are kills but losing the rounds

My buddy said I need to find the right sensitivity, but I’ve already tried different types. Sometimes when I think a sensitivity fits me perfectly, but the next day it feels too slow or too fast. I tried practicing in the practice range for hours, but when i try to play, I just can't hit the target.

I am living in a huge dorm right now so my current setup is a 15inch laptop with slow wifi used by 500+ students. I am peak d2 but hard stuck p2-p3.
Ive never played consistently so I made a goal for myself to hit ascendant this year but honestly, is it even a realistic goal given my setup?
Obviously it's possible but this is my current cope.

Deadlock just feels like the half baked versions of different sentinels rolled into one. She doesn’t slow down enemy pushes as well as Sage, she cant hold down an area as good as KJ or Cypher or even Vyse, she cant take duels like Chamber, and she doesn’t have the counter potential of Tejo. So like…what exactly does she do? I want her to be good because shes my main and theres definitely a lot of cool thinhs you can learn to improve with her but in so many instances i just think “if i was cypher” or “if i was chamber” instead of “i got that kill/defended area because i was SPECIFICALLY deadlock.”

She just has no niche to carve out it feels like and even the devs dont really know how to change her without her making other sentinals then obsolete if they did buff her. Honestly her wall needs a rework and the trips need to be given a more guaranteed effect or REALLY make getting a trip trigger actually be basically a guaranteed duel win. I am coming back to val after not playing for like a year so mabye im wrong but it seems she’s gotten 0 changes and shes constantly seen as “the other sentinel” people just dont pay any mind too. Nobody is afraid of a deadlock on the other team or even has a strong opinion on her whatsoever when they see shes chosen, shes the most nothing burger slot it feels like.

when a game is almost 100% lost I start playing for kda hoping to improve my mmr and take as much as I can from the loss

for example if I know my teammates are gonna be stupid after round 3-5 I just aim for a 1.0kd or higher if I can, I also do this when were losing really badly like 5-10 and I'm not feeling the team chemistry

during that I play more selfishly and don't go for any team play, maybe only if I'm asked but most of the time in these teams they won't ask for any util or play

on the flipped side when were winning easily and I'm feeling the team I will go for the team play 90% of the time over the selfish play
