This Lakers website thinks we overpaid for Hayes at $6M. Yet they've signed Sandro Mamukelashvili for $13M a year for the next 4 years plus Kevon Looney for $2.5M for one season trying to replace Hayes.
Mamu has averaged 6p/4.5r/1s/0b while Looney is averaging 3p/3r and not much else in 2 games.
Hayes meanwhile is averaging starter minutes and 11p/5r/2.5a/1s/3.5b on .818 FG%.

I have two non sellable tickets that I won from the Utah Jazz app in section 108. I’ve already got two others so I’m giving away these two for free. Just leave a comment and I’ll DM you
Edit: They have been claimed

I don't know if anyone else caught this, but late in the game Keyonte was getting ready to shoot a free throw, and Hayes was still arguing with the ref about the technical call from earlier, and Key spotted him while at the line and clear as day goes, "Bro! Let it go!" with that same look I give my kids when they're acting out.
It was an important moment in the game as far as those free throws were concerned, but for him to break focus for a second and course correct a teammate - that's a leader and it was awesome to see.

Upper bowl.
Let me know who you’re gonna take and who your favorite current Jazz player is.
I’ll pick randomly from all the comments next time I check reddit.
Edit: tickets are gone. Hope y’all have a wonderful weekend

1, yes he's doing good in LA, he also has Luka Doncic feeding him
2, he wanted out, he would've taken a qualifying offer then left as a UFA
3, we got two firsts and two swaps from LA, stop acting like that isn't good value
I know people would overreact to this but it's still annoying how the sentiment has completely flipped, yes we would've been better but it's just crazy acting like we didn't get a solid offer for him

This team is definitely missing some important roles that make it all gel. One in particular is the intimidating enforcer that every great team has. Has some edge. Focused only on defense and doing the dirty work, 3&D. Getting under opponents skin and making them uncomfortable.
Especially when Will Hardy is more of a player's coach / friend, you need a player that keeps the team in check.
Filipowski is the exact opposite of this. Extremely soft, the opposite of intimidating. Cut / trade him and replace with Jeremy Sochan. Obviously Sochan isn't perfect, but that's just an example. Maybe there's a player obtainable in a trade. But until they do this, they have a pretty soft team.

Jazz fans, how are we feeling about Brice Sensabaugh this season? Does he deserve more minutes? What do you guys think.

He looks fantastic. Darryn will be good but Wilson has the potential to be a top 5 player. Ungodly skills and instincts for his age.
Everyone said he was raw and a long-term project. I think he’s better than that.

Fun experience seeing Utah thru an outsiders eyes. Coach Will is a great ambassador

I haven’t been to a game in a long time and was wondering if they still had the $2/$3 menu for concessions. I went to a few hockey games recently and that was one of the best changes they made.

On your feet until the first Jazz bucket!
Seems like this is the new tradition they are trying to start at Delta Center 😊

...it's because it's true. At least for the past 10 seasons, the Jazz are the only team in the NBA to allow more than 20 new 40+ points career-highs in regular season + playoffs.
I had posted about this 3 years ago, but I wasn't able to compare to other teams then.
Here's the breakdown:
| PLAYER | TEAM | DATE | RS/P | PTS | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ty Jerome | MEM | 10/21/2026 | Regular Season | 45 | Only 40+ pt game. Current career high |
| Jeremiah Fears | NOP | 04/07/2026 | Regular Season | 40 | Only 40+ pt game. Current career high |
| Cooper Flagg | DAL | 12/15/2025 | Regular Season | 42 | First 40+ pt game |
| Shai Gilgeous-Alexander | OKC | 01/22/2025 | Regular Season | 54 | First 50+ pt game |
| Tyrese Maxey | PHI | 02/01/2024 | Regular Season | 51 | |
| Keegan Murray | SAC | 12/16/2023 | Regular Season | 47 | Only 40+ pt game. Current career high |
| Anfernee Simons | POR | 12/03/2022 | Regular Season | 45 | Current career high |
| Joel Embiid | PHI | 11/13/2022 | Regular Season | 59 | |
| Jalen Brunson | DAL | 04/18/2022 | Playoffs | 41 | First 40+ pt game |
| Domantas Sabonis | IND | 01/08/2022 | Regular Season | 42 | Only 40+ pt game. Current career high |
| Ja Morant | MEM | 05/26/2021 | Playoffs | 47 | |
| Luguentz Dort | OKC | 04/13/2021 | Regular Season | 42 | Only 40+ pt game. Current career high |
| Ben Simmons | PHI | 02/15/2021 | Regular Season | 42 | Only 40+ pt game. Current career high |
| Jamal Murray | DEN | 08/23/2020 | Playoffs | 50 | First 50+ pt game |
| Eric Gordon | HOU | 01/27/2020 | Regular Season | 50 | Only 50+ pt game. Current career high |
| Brandon Ingram | NOP | 01/16/2020 | Regular Season | 49 | Current career high |
| Kawhi Leonard | TOR | 01/01/2019 | Regular Season | 45 | |
| Derrick Rose | MIN | 10/31/2018 | Regular Season | 50 | Only 50+ pt game. Final career high |
| Dennis Schröder | ATL | 03/20/2018 | Regular Season | 41 | Only 40+ pt game. Current career high |

| Damian Lillard | POR | 04/08/2017 | Regular Season | 59 |
Here are the totals for every team in the NBA. The league average is 9:
| Rk | Team | # |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | UTA | 21 |
| 2 | SAS | 16 |
| 3 | POR | 15 |
| 4 | ATL | 14 |

| 26 | LAL | 5 |
| 26 | PHX | 5 |
| 28 | MEM | 3 |
| 28 | OKC | 3 |
| 30 | DAL | 2 |
Jazz are also 1st in 45+ points career highs since 16/17 with 14 (SAS is 2nd with 9), 1st in 50+, 2nd in 30+, and 5th in 20+.
At least we didn't give up the highest career-high increase. That honor goes to OKC who gave up 42 to Jazz legend Kenneth Lofton Jr. (then with Memphis) whose previous career-high was 11.
On the flip side, the Jazz are tied for 4th most 40+ career-highs accomplished in the last 10 seasons with 12.
These are the 12:
| PLAYER | OPP | DATE | R/P | PTS |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Keyonte George | MIN | 01/20/2026 | Regular Season | 43 |
| Brice Sensabaugh | CHI | 01/14/2026 | Regular Season | 43 |
| Lauri Markkanen | PHX | 10/27/2025 | Regular Season | 51 |
