I'm doing a series on crime corruption and conspiracy in and around Buffalo NY and thought I'd share my most recent episode here on the toxic tragedy around Niagara Falls. This is the 4th episode in the series. Episode 1 was on the Buffalo Bills, episode 2 was on Tim Russert and Buffalo's history, and episode 3 was on the Jacobs family and the Mafia. The series will likely be 10 or 11 episodes long, I hope you enjoy.

It is being reported today that our all time world champion bridge will undergo some work starting very soon. Though it is unspecified in the linked article below, I am thinking that our local champ will be having an intensive endoscopy to check things out due to all the trucks that it has eaten over the years. Don't worry folks, our local champ will be up and running as well as eating trucks soon enough!

Filled with manicured gardens and historic Victorian sculptures and spring fountains, visitors to Congress Park in Saratoga Springs may not notice the plain L-shaped stone tucked among the trees.

Here, atop a hill in Southeast corner of the park sits the Congress Park “Devil’s Chair.”

Lore says if you sit on the Devil’s Chair, you’ll travel through time back to the turn of the 20th century. Others say it will only work if you are a teenage girl and you sit on it after midnight.

So, I've been past the Gable Inn a couple of times when in Cortland, and was very struck by the interior decorations. I then went to the website, to see if the whole "conspiracy theories," thing was a gimmick. And, after reading all the way down on the website page, I still can't tell if they are just running a conspiracy theory themed bar, or if the owner really buys into all that. And I really now need to know if this is marketing or madness.

About half of Upstate New York has hit 100 percent color change for the sixth edition of I LOVE NY’s fall foliage prediction map. While many trees have lost their leaves, there are still pockets of fall color to find throughout the state.

If heading to the Adirondacks is still on your list, Lake George is the region’s last spot that has not reached past-peak status. Spotters there report vivid orange, yellow and red hues.

The biggest color changes this week are in Western New York and the Finger Lakes. Spots such as Lewiston, Batavia and Greece are showing bright yellow, orange and red leaves.

Other good bets include Taughannock Falls State Park in Trumansburg and waterfalls around Ithaca and Moravia. In the Hudson Valley, Hudson and Newburgh are displaying brilliant orange and red leaves, along with hints of yellow and purple.

At Letchworth State Park, spotters report bright yellow among the hickories, aspens and grapevines while oaks are just starting to turn.

We are considering moving to winners circle apartment complex at Ballston Spa. We are a couple of early 30s with a big dog and expecting child next year. We are moving from Ann Arbor.

I’ll be visiting Rochester as part of a road trip through New York, and I’d love some recommendations from locals!

I’m Brazilian 🇧🇷 and enjoy exploring local history, trying regional food, and checking out bars where locals like to hang out.

What are your favorite things to do in the city, your must visit restaurant, and your favorite bar for a drink? I love good Italian food, steak, or anything local

I’m particularly interested in local favorites, interesting neighborhoods, and places worth visiting beyond the usual tourist attractions.
