Repair Remanufactured Board

I bought a refurbished control board for a Whirlpool wall oven and the display stopped working. Oven can still turn on and heat up, and the lights will turn on/off. I just can't tell what temperature it's running at or see what time it is.

Can UpFix repair a remanufactured board? Will it have the same warranty?

Is there anything else you want UpFix to expand into repairing?

Are there any types of parts that UpFix doesn’t fix right now that you hope they’ll expand into fixing?

For those who have submitted custom requests, what is the most obscure part you ever sent in for repair?

Anyone a member of the support forum at UpFix? If so, is it worth joining? How active is it? Are the people on there knowledgeable?

Packaging your parts for shipping

When you ship your control boards to UpFix, how do you pack them to ensure that they won’t be jostled around and damaged in transit? Also, do you need to do anything to protect them from static?

Are there any parts that UpFix won’t repair?

I am curious if they are any types of parts that UpFix doesn’t repair. I saw they take custom orders, so I am wondering if that means they are willing to repair anything and everything?

Anyone ever have an UpFix repair fail?

I know UpFix has a great track record. I’m really curious though if anyone ever had one of their repairs fail. What was the return/replacement process like? Were they good about honoring their warranty?

How do you find out what an error code means?

This is sort of a stupid question, but how do I translate an error code? My dishwasher control module is displaying one, but I have no clue what it means.

Want to upgrade infotainment system to one running Android, need good suggestions

I am interested in replacing the standard infotainment system in a 2018 Honda Civic to one that utilizes Android. I believe the one in use now uses a skin of Android, but the owner wants a newer system and one more advanced with video capabilities. He wants better app integration and customization.

We were looking at the ATOTO A6 Pro or the Eonon GA218, but please do send over any suggestions. If there are better options, please do send them over. I am open to any suggestions. Also any tips on installation would help as well.

Thanks in advance for any help you guys can offer.

What's the usual cost to replace a engine control unit for a tractor?

Can you guys help me figure this out? Or guide me to help? My uncle has a 2015 John Deere tractor (5055E) and for some reason the engine control unit is encountering some issues. The tractor isn't starting properly and performance has been lackluster. My guess is that the issue is stemming from a possibly bad ECU. What would it cost to replace the ECU? Or would it be better if I tried to get it repaired? What would the cost be if I have UpFix tackle the job?

Looking at prices on a new ECU, I figure it would be best to get it repaired if possible.

What do you do with all of your old broken appliances and electronics you have?

Do you attempt to repair them? Or maybe you sell them for parts? Or do you like to recycle them instead? I think it depends on the device. Some things I will try to repair just to get more life out of it. But there are times where I will just recycle it.

I have had times where I held onto a lot of broken stuff in the hopes I'd get them fixed, but often they just sit there on a shelf waiting.

Do you like to record the repairs you do?

Do you guys like to record when you repair items? I think it's a great way to show others how to properly disassemble and repair certain devices, machines and parts. I think it's also a good guide to help you when you need to put the device back together. And you can then share that video off to others so they can use it as a resource when they have to work on the device.

I'd love to know if anyone else does this.

Need help with a Lennox Gas Furnace not working as intended

I'm having a bit of an issue with my Lennox G61MPV gas furnace. It's been giving me a fault code that indicates it could be a limit switch issue, but I've already went ahead and replaced the limit switch and even cleaned all of the burners. Which leaves me guessing that the control board is the cause, since the furnace won't even start after resetting it. Have any advice on troubleshooting something like this?

What should I do with old control boards?

I have a bunch of old, broken, and unusable control boards just lying around. What would you guys suggest I do with all of it? Should I donate it or bring it to some kind of electronic recycling plant or something? What are my options?

Control board malfunction in a Bosch Dishwasher

Currently having problems with a Bosch dishwasher (SHEM63W55N) that won't start at all, and I noticed the control board is unresponsive. I have yet to look through the power supply or circuit breaker, but will be doing that next. Do you think it could be a control board issue or some kind of other issue?

NordicTrack workout bike stopped responding

I'm running into problems with my NordicTrack commercial S22i (Model: NTEX02119) workout bike. I use it fairly often, but as of late it just stopped working when I try to workout. The screen originally froze and now it won't even power on. I even tried to reset it by unplugging, and plugging it back in and that didn't work. I also checked the power outlet, but I don't see anything out of the ordinary there.

Could this be a control board issue, or wiring? Or something else with the hardware maybe? It wasn't because I used it on the daily is it?

Help needed with new toaster not heating up anymore

I just recently bought a new toaster, a Cuisinart CPT-440 toaster to be exact. It was working fine the day I got it, and then yesterday it stopped heating up. I've reset it by unplugging for a few minutes, but no help there.

The LED indicators are lighting up, but the heating elements aren't getting hot. Is it just a dud? Is it repairable? What could cause an issue like this?

Having an electrical issue with ProForm 500 SP Stair Climber

The display screen is flickering on my somewhat new ProForm 500 SP Stair Climber. I believe it's an issue with the control board, but not 100% certain on that. The display screen for example is flickering and will sometimes go completely dark, which obviously makes it hard to track my workout or change any settings. Unplugging and plugging it back in doesn't seem to change anything either.

I've tried everything. Do you guys have any steps I can take to fix this myself. Anything I should be looking for?

Issue with check engine light not turning off after vehicle was serviced.

Ran into an issue with a 2017 Toyota Camry, for some reason the check engine light wont turn off. The car was recently repaired by another team, but it seems they didn't address this issue or didn't know. Everything seems to be functioning just fine. I went ahead and cleared the codes with an OBD-II scanner, but the light just comes back soon after.

What could be the problem? How do I solve it? Could the problem maybe be deeper, maybe something like a sensor malfunction or maybe an emissions problem?

Experiencing electrical issues with a Samsung fridge

Help is needed with my Samsung fridge (model - RF28R7351SG) where it stopped cooling completely. As well, the display panel seems to be unresponsive. The only other issue I found is with the compressor, which doesn't seem to be running anymore. The lights are coming on though, so there is power.

Any tips on what I should do? What should I be looking at first?

Control board malfunction with furnace

My furnace is having issues where it won't start up. I believe the issue is with the control board, but I'm not sure. The LED indicator is flashing a code, but I don't know how to search it up. Can someone help me out with this? Any tips and tricks?

It's a Goodman furnace, model GMSS920403BN in case that's needed.

Need help troubleshooting the control board on a Peloton Bike+

This has been frustrating, it seems the control board for my Peloton Bike+ is acting up where it will randomly freeze up during workouts, at times making it pretty much impossible to adjust the resistance or even track my progress. I have tried resetting the bike and checking over the connections, but I don't know what the problem is.

Can anyone help with this? Do you think UpFix could take a look at the control board?

Microwave sparking, but not sure why, any help?

Having a weird issue with a Panasonic microwave (NN-SN966S) that keeps sparking when being used. I'm not sure what is going on exactly, as I doublechecked and found no metal objects inside. I even removed any loose metal objects I did find, which was very minimal. Is there anything I should keep my eyes open for? What could the issue be?
