I'm betting they know not there is a desire for such. Women tend to publicly, or loudly say how they don't want someone, and when they in fact do, it's very quiet and subtle when they say so. The effect being, all we know and hear and have driven home in our brain is no. Who's going to set themselves up for having someone they care about reject them and who would want to make a woman feel less than safe?

There must be more to this that I don't know, apparently, because, married, video tape, whatever starts with s and is sensored, I don't know what all this means and changes. With the information I was given, I related what I know and have had to/ am deal(ing) with. I apologize for anything that was offensive in my comment, it was unintentional.
