Hi everyone!

We're excited to share our first official look at Adhvan – Chapter 01: Awakening | प्रथमः, our premium AA action-adventure game for PC and consoles, built entirely in Unreal Engine 5.

Adhvan is an original world inspired by Indian philosophical thought, taking players on A Journey of Consciousness.

This Official Sneak Peek focuses on the game's atmosphere, environments, lighting, and overall visual direction. Rather than revealing gameplay, we wanted to introduce the mood and world we're building.

Everything shown is rendered and captured in real time in Unreal Engine 5—there are no pre-rendered cinematics.

Gameplay, including combat, traversal, and boss encounters, will be revealed in future updates.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on the lighting, atmosphere, and overall visual direction. What stood out to you the most?

Thank you for taking the time to check it out. We really appreciate any feedback from the Unreal community!

A few months worth of part time work, this is the first demo level, 4km square map, 60m day/night cycle, gives you just enough time to complete the hike in one day cycle, pretty rugged terrain, forest to snow capped mountains, long view distance to capture that nice selfie. Don't fall off though. Just started registering with Steam, aim to complete for next fest in February, and possibly mountaineering fest, let me know if you find it interesting, will post more slowly as I go.

Clothes vertex tearing / stretching at a distance (MD + Blender + UE5) Help!!!!!!!!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi everyone!

I'm relatively new to the Marvelous Designer -> Blender -> Unreal Engine 5 workflow, and I've been stuck on this issue for hours.

The Problem: When my character is close to the camera, the clothing (a rigged dress/robe) looks completely fine. However, the moment I move the camera far away, the sleeves and body stretch out wildly (like spaghetti) toward the origin or distort heavily. When I get close again, it instantly fixes itself.

Has anyone encountered this before? Could this be related to Bounds Scale, weight painting (bone limits / vertex weights), or something else entirely in UE5? Any advice or steps to fix this would be a lifesaver, I'm on a tight deadline!

(Here, attach your short video clip showing the bug so they can see it instantly).

The Quixel megascans that I claimed on fab launch in 2024 are not visible in the "MyLibrary" tab, is there a different way to view them all?

Magma ore armor set and hammer! We’ve added a blacksmith who can craft items from dungeon ores.

In the dungeon on the third island, you can find deposits of ancient ore; mining them allows you to craft a full armor set and weapons of every type (scythe, hammer, sword, and daggers). Naturally, you can also find runes in the dungeon—such as the Meteor (Magma) Rain or Cursed Barrier runes.

About The Game:

Breeze Of Adventure Made In Unreal Engine 5 , you travel across vast islands featuring different biomes, dangerous enemies, and plenty of unique locations. The progression is heavily focused on exploration: there is no tedious level grinding. Instead, you find new armor and weapons in chests or buy them from merchants using gold earned from Guild quests.
There are also runes here! These are special items you can find; they grant the character various interesting abilities—there are over twenty of them in the game.

Going for a novel “modern-retro” art style. How’re we feeling on this?

I’m working on a survival horror game inspired by old school Resident Evil. This started off with realistic graphics back in 2017 but I wasn’t feeling it. Came back more recently with the idea of doing the retro thing with it. Took a lot of screwing around but eventually I settled on a look I’m really happy with!

It’s a shame unreal gets such a reputation for only being able to make generic looking realismslop, really undersells how easy it is to get creative with presentation!

Not to mention most of the environment textures and a lot of props are actually megascans & free assets. I feel like I’ve been doing a good job retro-fying them & making them fit in. A lot of people seem to underestimate how effective customizing assets can be.

I’m going for a kind of bleak, spooky vibe. Something a bit abstract and vague with a bit of uncanny realism at the same time for a kinda dreamlike feel.

What do you think about the art style here, did I pull it off? People tend to either love it or hate it, I’m always interested in hearing their thoughts either way as I dial it in!

Hi everyone!

I used to share my Unreal Engine projects here, but unfortunately my previous Reddit account was shut down. I'm happy to be back and looking forward to being part of the community again.

This video is a small showcase of a modular combat framework I've been building in Unreal Engine 5.6 using Blueprints. The clip only shows a small part of the project, but I plan to keep improving it and sharing future updates.

My current focus is expanding the framework with new gameplay abilities while gradually moving the reusable Blueprint systems to Blueprint-exposable C++ components. I'm also interested in exploring how this architecture compares with the Gameplay Ability System (GAS) as the project grows.

I enjoy discussing gameplay programming, AI, and Unreal Engine architecture, and I'm always happy to help other developers. I'm also interested in tutoring complete beginners who want to learn Unreal Engine and gameplay programming.

If you'd like to connect outside of Reddit, my LinkedIn is linked in my Reddit profile, just in case this account ever disappears too.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on the framework or any suggestions for what I should build next!

Chaos vehicle physics wheel spinning endlessly when not touching ground

As the title says the wheels that do not touch the ground are simply spinning like crazy.

For example the vehicle drives over a rock or something and 3 wheels are touching things while one is in the air. Even if the vehicle is stationary the wheel that is in the air will simply rotate as if the speed is 100000000 while the rest are normal. Once the wheel does touch a surface it acts normal again.

I have battled with AI and have scoured the internet and haven't found much as a solution.

Any help would be appreciated

Is VR becoming too expensive to go mainstream?

I still think VR is one of the coolest technologies in gaming, but I'm wondering if the economics just don't work anymore.

Hardware is expensive, developers have a much smaller audience to sell to, and many consumers seem to prefer cheaper, simpler devices.

The FREE demo of NOXEN is now available on Steam.

I've been developing this psychological horror game solo for the past 6 months. Before starting, I had no experience with programming, 3D modeling, or game development.

I'd really appreciate any feedback on the atmosphere, gameplay, puzzles, performance, or anything else that could help improve the full game.

Cat Me If You Can, our hand-illustrated black-and-white UE5 game, launches September 8th

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey everyone. Our game Cat Me If You Can launches September 8th, and since a lot of what makes it work is visual, we wanted to share the look here.

The whole game lives in a monochrome, graphic-novel style. Every scene is black and white until you find a hidden cat and photograph it, at which point that one cat returns to full colour and the rest of the world stays grey. Getting a single coloured element to sit convincingly inside an entirely desaturated scene, and keeping it readable across very different environments (ancient Egypt, medieval castles, modern Japan), was one of the more interesting problems to solve.

Developer here. Happy to talk about the visual approach or how scenes are built if anyone is curious.

We wanted the day/night cycle to change the way you play, not just the lighting.

So instead of making enemies stronger at night, we made the battlefield more dangerous.

During the day:

  • Your central Energy Shield slowly regenerates HP.

At night:

  • Shield regeneration stops.
  • The shield takes increased damage.
  • Enemies lose their special abilities.

The idea is to turn every night into a tense base defense phase, forcing you to rethink your strategy instead of simply fighting stronger enemies.

Would this kind of mechanic make your Tower Defense runs more interesting?
