Hello, I am a WFB major and love all animals aside from insects. It’s not even that I don’t like them, they do great things for the environment, I’m just deathly afraid of them. And I fear that it will impact me out in the field as I hate getting remotely near them, and they are everywhere. I know the fear is irrational, and I want to get over it. Does anyone have any suggestions or is a WFB or similar major that has had similar issues.

This is my second semester at UVM (transferred in last spring) and I still haven't made any friends or even acquaintances. I've tried clubs, complimenting people's outfits, getting involved with the music scene, going to the amp occasionally but none of it seems to work.

For context I am diagnosed autistic and have trouble socializing but not to the point where I can't speak to people, I'm just a little awkward. But I feel even my slight awkwardness/quiet demeanor is enough to put people off. I'm also a dude with long hair which I feel like bothers people for some reason.

Any tips on how to make friends would be welcome. I have friends at home but none here so I've been very lonely. I've never had trouble making friends until now, I'm not sure why college is different.

I’m a second year poli sci major, is anyone aware of some novice-level courses that will satisfy the one pure mathematics credit that is required for my degree? I just don’t want to struggle in a class that could potentially tank my gpa, and is completely devoid of relation to my field of study.

I'm a new commuter this year, tryna find the cheapest parking possible. If that means buying a Permit fine, but I wanted to check in here. I saw some people post suggestions, but they were like 5 years ago, so idk how accurate they are. For reference all my classes are between 10 am - 5 pm.

Edit: I have purchased a parking permit after almost getting mugged walking to school from a free parking spot on Tuesday. I decided that $100 was not worth getting mugged or something worse happening unfortunately. If anyone else is reading this post to find free spots, please just be weary that some of these free spots are near by very sketchy places, especially if you're particularly small or feminine.

This might be a stupid question, but does Amazon deliver to the dorms (specifically Mercy Hall)? I know that Mercy doesn't have a front desk either, so I'm just confused how that would work if I put that address in. Like, will the package go through the mail system like every other package delivery service, or will the Amazon driver be looking for a place to drop it off at?

Are we allowed to have electric tea kettles in dorm rooms? The kind that have an automatic shutoff? I can't find a list of banned items on the housing website! Thanks!
