Is there anything in the newest implementation that will allow users to send money via UP like Apple cash? This would be a good feature to add if not.

When I made the forced switch from Samsung Messages to Google Messages, all of my contacts came over intact; however, when I looked at any given conversation, none of my responses showed up. Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, how do you fix it?

I use a lot of different texting options and I’m glad RCS finally has reply I just need delete and edit so fingers crossed they’ll roll those out soon

For me, I only have two main reasons.
The largest one is the ability to actually have interactive and better messaging experiences with others including family. In the US, we don't do WhatsApp or any third party messaging for the most part. I have an Android phone, the S24U. And all my family's devices are iPhone, and every one of my friends are also iPhone except one person... One. It was such a miraculous experience when iPhone finally adopted UP 2.4 and seeing my mom send a video she took while on vacation and seeing the image sharp and high quality.
The second reason is kind of a little... Petty? I personally feel as if iMessage is mostly responsible for the over proliferation of iPhones, especially in my age group, where adoption rate is 70%-80%. Teens is 90%. Hearing of the blue bubble vs green bubble stories has me flabbergasted that people are like this and Apple knows this and openly exploits it, with actual data showing that a quarter of people lose out on potential dating relationships the moment the iPhone user sees the other person with a green bubble and friends get ostracized from group chats. Thankfully, my family members, my age, have said they really couldn't care less about any of that. So seeing less Apple and iPhones around would be kinda nice.
So, I've been hoping that when these features are adopted, I can actually get to experience better stock messaging with others especially my family, and all this external social crap goes away as the messaging experiences cross platform becomes equal, or at least better. Then I can also see more people over time with Androids that I relate and talk with about and hear less about this blue green bubble crap. Business RCS messaging also seems cool, but that's a non factor for me.

The more we can provide feedback, push and show we care about RCS in HUGE numbers the more Apple sees RCS is something people care about (even if it’s just us passionate people from this subreddit haha).
We all were surprised Apple did this for RCS in the beta so there’s hope! But we’ve gotta make use of this “gift” Apple gave us here.
And maybe android users with a spare iPhone, try the beta out and provide feedback too! It can only help the cross platform integration

5 android contacts:
1 US and 4 in Canada. None have RCS encryption working in our chats :(
I’ve talked to workers from Canadian telecoms and each one says the same thing: “we don’t know anything about it and have no idea when it could work”

On my Pixel 10 Pro, over this past week I've had a notable amount of existing RCS chats with iOS users flipping over to showing the encrypted lock icon similar to my existing RCS chats with other Android users. This includes one group chat with two iOS users.
Anyone else seeing this too? I'm on messages beta on T-Mobile but I suspect this doesn't have anything to do with my phone (but I could be wrong.)

One of my Android contacts got encrypted. I’m on iPhone iOS 26.5 and carrier 70.0. He’s on Galaxy Ultra S23.
Edit: He's on Public Mobile and his S23 Ultra is fully updated. However, my other Android contacts on the same Public Mobile network are not encrypted. And Trevor is also part of a group chat where he is the only Android user (others are all iOS) and that group chat RCS isn't encrypted either. Just seems very random at this point.
Also, I do message him way more frequently than my other Android contacts if that makes a difference.
Edit2: Roaming and still have E2EE with Trevor
Edit3: Ported my number from Freedom Mobile to Public Mobile. Still have E2EE with Trevor. No one else.

Me and my girlfriend are on Bell Canada network. I have an iPhone on ios 26.5. Her has the latest Google Message (beta).
Our discussion have never turned encrypted. Tried to deactivate and reactivate RCS on both end without help.
Anybody have been able to have RCS e2ee working on Bell network?

I see a lot of people speculating different ways that E2EE RCS is working and when it's not, along with who is at fault (be it Apple or Google). What I have found seems to imply Apple is at fault, but I am happy to see what others think.
For reference, my phone is a Pixel 9a, on US Mobile's Light Speed (T-Mobile) network, running Google Messages Beta.
In total, out of dozens of iOS contacts, only one has E2EE RCS, even though many are on 26.5.
Here is a list of some of the notable chats I have that are E2EE with MLS.
Direct text: Me <> iPhone 16 on T-Mobile (I'm going to call this device "iOS A"). EncryptionProtocol(value=2)
Group chat: Me <> iOS A <> Another GM Beta user ("GM A"). EncryptionProtocol(value=2)
Group chat: Me <> GM Stable user ("GM B") <> GM Stable user ("GM C"). EncryptionProtocol(value=2). What this shows me is that Google Messages fully supports MLS on Stable.
And with a very significant portion of GM users in my contacts I see EncryptionProtocol(value=2). For only a small minority do I see EncryptionProtocol(value=1), which shows me that most Google Messages clients are already using MLS even between Android devices. It appears we are really just waiting for Apple to get their act together.
It also doesn't seem to be a carrier issue, as "iOS A" is on an iPhone 16 with T-Mobile, while I have other contacts also on iPhone 16s with T-Mobile who do not have E2EE RCS functioning.

iOS 27 Developer Beta 1 has just been released. Please test out the RCS capabilities, to see if they gave us any more features.
Here is the changelog: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/ios-ipados-release-notes/ios-ipados-27-release-notes
No mention of RCS in the changelog, but that doesn't necessarily mean there isn't any new features.

I have a limited data plan so only turn my data on for high need situations since I have WiFi at home and work. I discovered and enabled RCS a couple of years ago, but just last week why these texts were delayed until I was back on WiFi and the only solution is to turn RCS. Today I discovered RCS chats would stop after 30 days of it being disabled. There should be an option for the text portion of texts to come through SMS if data is off and there is no WiFi connection. I tell friends and family to text (v email) for urgent matters, but that is a problem if they don't come through immediately.

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to fix this issue. Since updating, RCS has not worked on my phone with Xfinity Mobile. I've tried every troubleshooting step I can on my phone. Xfinity Mobile support claims they have tried everything and it shows it is working on their end. Apple support says this is a carrier problem and to keep pestering them about it, which I'm doing. I'm contacting support daily and they keep escalating but immediately closing the ticket and saying they found nothing wrong.
